Premier Inn Newquay (Quintrell Downs)  

Convenient, comfortable and close to the A30 ~ nice bathroom with good shower and fluffy towels ~ friendly receptionist and plenty of parking ~ useful lift to all floors.

Sadly the restaurant was not a good experience and in our view fails to adequately support the hotel ~ the restaurant service was dreadful and the food on offer not much better ~ we had a simple meal which took over two hours to complete ~ having complained about such a long wait we were offered a free sweet as compensation which we didn't want ~ what we had selected from the menu arrived at the table in a different format, the "special chunky chips" were very ordinary chips and soggy. The restaurant staff were very young and inexperienced, they seemed ready to agree with guests that the service and food was not to a good standard. All a great shame as the overnight accommodation was good. We couldn't face risking the breakfast the next morning so left and found a local tea room which was clearly a much better option.

Very clean room and bathroom with comfortable bed, fantastic power shower. The hotel was very quiet (as in we had no disturbance of other customers noise in our room). Thhe bar/restaurant attached was pleasant and good value for money

This is thre second Premier Inn I have stayed in recently and the service and quality of the room was such that I will use Premier Inns for all my future short stay visits throughout the country. I will recommend them whenever asked.

Breakfast was not as hot as it could have been. Food was excellengt but slightly cold.

The price sounded good when I booked. The rooms were good for the price. The bar area was as cosy as a fake mock up could be.

The breakfast experience was acomplete farce. Cattle class didn't even com into it! It took us ten minutes to be seated. There was no bread, sugar, coffee or cereal on the buffet. They were completely understaffed. It took another ten iminutes at least to put our hot breakfast order in. Then at least another 20 for it to arrive. My son ( with short hair ) cooked toast and when he buttere his there was along blonde hair on it. Yukkkkkkkkkkkkk!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Staff were very friendly and helpful. We had a couple of issues and they resolved them to our satisfaction. They provide a very comfortable and friendly environment which did enhance our visit.

Food was terrible and the first room we were assigned was quite small and had only one chair. For the price we paid - 83 pounds - it did not seem that good a deal. I am accustomed to Premiere Inn's and this was quite expensive and not as good as others I have stayed at. That said, it was the most reasonable for the area - other hotels were much more expensive and in all liklihood, would have been much worse.

our stay was relaxing, this was made even better by the staff making us feel welcome and attending to anything we needed. we visited nearby towns and beeches which were beautiful and clean. the food was excellent and great value so was the room .all the staff were friendly and helpful ,we would recommend this hotel to anyone wanting to relax and be waited on, had a great time.we are looking to book in october for a short break.

breakfast was a mish mash of self service and waiter service we asked for a quiet room and were given one not only on a busy roundabout but over the pub entrance and got no sleep on any night the sofa was dwecidedly uncomfortable there were no drawers in the room so ones underwear/nightwear had to be left on a shelf. we were left with no shower gel or toilet tissue as we are moving to newquay to live we were looking for somewhere for the family to stay and they will not be staying at this hotel
