Room was lovely with a sea view. Excellent location. Friendly staff. Overall a very comfortable stay. Would certainly come again. We stayed in room 204 :)
Staff were very helpful, breakfast was excellent and location is ideal.
Basement room was noisy and chilly as no individual heating controls. Bathroom was very tight for space.
service, staff were excellent
during the night my sleep was disturbed by rowdy neighbours It was not value for money
nice breakfast and friendly staff
bathroom is super small (enough for a single room but not for three-bed room)
Nice hotel and good breakfast, catered for gluten free which is always nice.
Not really the hotels fault as such but we were in a ground level room and it was really quite warm so has to have the window open (only a little) and the seaguls were noisy alnight and people walking right past our window. If you can get higher room or one at the back it would have been lovely!
Breakfast was tasty once delivered Staff were incredibly polite and apologetic
Struggled to find parking and it cost £7.50 a day . Pillows were hard , seagulls noisy , hot and no fan provided , staff struggled to keep on top of fully capacitated breakfast room . The photos shown do not represent the room we were given ( basement room ) had I of known there would be no view I wouldn't of booked ! We were under the very noisy / creaky entrance corridor , the toilet was very noisy on flushing , and we could here pipes groaning throughout the stay , the worst thing was the last morning where the pipes completely blocked and the sewage was right to the top of our toilet, sink would not empty nor the bath ... Horrendous ! I feel the hotel is not equipped for a full hotel and the staff struggled to cope .
Expensive for what was offered wifi very unreliable walls very thin
Excellent friendly staff, good atmosphere.
Steep climb to room on top floor
Excellent food and service yet not all staff understood English.
Wifi very poor as was phone service. Like a fan in room
The breakfast and the cleanness of the hotel. Polite and very helpful staff.
The room was too small. It was extremely hot, as there was no air con, nor a fan available on our first night. This meant the windows had to be wide open and we had a terrible night sleep due to all the noise outside and below us. Thankfully the hotel manager found us a fan for our second night which meant we could shut the windows, but we still had to buy blinders for our eyes to block out the sunlight that poured in through the slated blinds. Curtains are necessary for a good nights sleep/lie in! Such little things that need changing that could make such a big difference on anyone's stay. Not worth the money until these things have been addressed. My other half was not happy as he lost a lot of sleep and he has to get up at 4:45am on a week day. He was expecting a good nights kip and a long lie-ins. Shame, much potential as a hotel.
good professional staff
no air con but most guest accommodation doesn't, noisey guests but not hotels fault, en suite small with no window but again typical of others in this category,
Breakfast was great. The location was also really good. Staff helpful, offering advice on where to go. Got a free book..!
Difficulty parking nearby. Double bed was actually two single beds together which I find uncomfortable ending up on the middle of the two.
I have been to this hotel several times and always find it friendly and clean, with a good breakfast service.
This time we were given a ground floor room which was rather noisy since people passing by on the stairs talk loudly and bang the doors. A notice asking people to be a little quieter would be a good idea.
Shower didn't work, room telephone didn't work, didn't receive my wake up call and hence got no breakfast
Poor service, staff who cant speak english and broken facilities
The included Breakfast was excellent
Being disabled the three flights of stairs were not ideal
PLEASE BEWARE when booking with this hotel when staying with young children. Both on their website and on booking.com they stated that they were child friendly and offering cots/cribs and children's television stations etc. However, upon booking and providing our bank details we were informed that children under three were not allowed in the restaurant for dinner or in the dining room for breakfast. When we queried this they informed us that they didn't even so much as have a high chair for our daughter to sit in and that we would have to eat in our room. In light of this we asked to cancel our booking as we felt we had been misled into believing that we were booking into a family-friendly hotel as none of the above information was present on their website (with which booking.com agreed and advised the hotel to update their website to include this). We were then told that we would not be able to cancel our booking and that if we chose not to stay that we would still be liable for the £387 fee for the three nights if they did not manage to re-sell the room. Needless to say they 'apparently' did not manage to re-sell it (which we pretty much guessed they wouldn't) and they have now proceeded to take £387 from our account without our prior permission !! No doubt the manager of the hotel will reply to this review with a sugar coated reply explaining that this was all one big misunderstanding when in truth they did not have the facilities they led us to believe they had to accommodate our daughter and then proceeded to take the money of a hard working family who saved up so they could take their daughter on holiday. You should be ashamed of yourselves !! Also just to note that booking.com were very helpful and tried very hard to get us our money back. They even offered to pay towards some of the fees as they agreed that we had been misled by the hotel.
We had an excellent stay at the hotel. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The location of the hotel was very convenient and few minutes to the beach.
Very friendly welcome on arrival
Friendly staff, clean and quiet surroundings, lovely breakfast, will definitely go back!
locality very good, breakfast , helpfulness all good customer service
the stairs but that's our fault for being unfit
View from window and mouldy shower door/inside.
