We stayed here for 3nights in the garden room it was fab very peaceful and comfortable the hosts could not have been better. Breakfast was amazing and cooked fresh. We will visit again definitely
Nothing to fault
We stayed in the self contained facility for 3 nights. It was peaceful and very, very comfortable. The breakfast was incredible, and the help/advice provided by David was extremely helpful.
The TV in the living room was set at a high uncomfortable level but this enables the room to revert to sleeping accommodation if required. We weren't there to watch TV! More external lighting may facilitate easy access into the accommodation (we used our torch) and avoid 'accidents' left by Poppy!
Fabulous breakfast, you will have to go a long way to better it.
Welcoming and comfortable, lovely breakfast - and beautifully clean and well appointed en suite. nice and quiet
the only down side was locating the turning into the entrance in the dark on a busy A36.
The house The location The room Lizzie and David The dogs The breakfast The nights sleep
Very friendly & helpful hosts, lovely clean & comfy rooms a real home from home.Great breakfast choice & very generous helpings, would thoroughly recommend.
Situated on busy road but double glazed so didn't hear much traffic.
Friendly ,helpful, amazing breakfast
Our booking was a last minute decision, one we do not regret. the accomodation was first class, the information and attention by the owners excellent, the breakfast was very tasty, especially the poached eggs, which were without parallel, these I understand to be fresh from the chickens kept by the owners. I would go out of my way in the future to stay at this B&B. Thank you!
Due to commitments over the weekend, I was only able to stay one night.
Excellent hosts . Lovely room
Nothing negative to say
Owners very friendly & helpful Good position for visiting Salisbury & the New Forest Very good breakfast Lovely garden
Nothing not to like
This B&B is in a refurbished 1500's farmhouse. Really cool. The gardens and pool are really nice. David and Lizzie even have chickens and alpacas. The breakfast was excellent taken in a beautiful greenhouse room. Super location for visiting Stonehenge and Avebury. We had a great time there.
Having to leave.
We loved everything about this charming B&B. The quality of the accommodation and service is, in my opinion, superior to many a 5* hotel. We will definitely stay here again.
There is nothing to dislike!
David and Lizzie greeted us on arrival together with 3 adorable/friendly dogs. The grounds are lovely, complete with alpacas and chickens, also with a swimming pool. They advised us on local restaurants/pubs even ringing ahead and booking tables for us; nothing appeared to be too much trouble. The guesthouse was very clean, well kept and comfortable. Breakfast catered for all tastes, cereal, fruit, toast and traditional full English. We would not hesitate to recommend and will definitely make this our first choice should we be in the area again.
Nothing to not like
Comfortable bed, great breakfast, knowledgeable hosts.
Car-parking rather small.
Lizzie and David were extremely friendly, welcoming and helpful providing information of things to do. We stayed in the garden suite which was brilliant and a good size. We felt completely relaxed after our stay and will definitely be returning. The variety and wide choice of foods at breakfast was great and the sausages were delicious.
A very friendly, welcoming place to stay. Fantastic breakfasts.
Guest house in back by pool great; owners very nice
A little bit hard to find
The room we had was clean and lovely with nice little touches. Lizzie and David where lovely people and made you feel very welcome. Would definitely stay again if in the area.
Thank you Lizzie and David for a lovely stay. The room was exactly what was needed and the effort you put into making our stay pleasant was appreciated. The bright, open breakfast room was a a nice start to the day, with excellent cooked and continental breakfast choices. We enjoyed having the opportunity to stay close to but outside of Salisbury. Your location worked very well for our day excursions to Stonehenge and Old Sarum. David my only regret is that we didn't get a chance to explore the forest - but that can be the seed for a return visit I hope. I would absolutely recommend a stay at Newton Farmhouse to other travellers.
Lovely layed back environment , wonderful hosts very welcoming stay
Busy main road quite annoying at night
Owners were so friendly. Made you feel like old friends from the start.
Breakfast - Excellent - Eggs were prefect and "happy". 5 star freerange eggs. Lizzie & David - such a great friendly couple. The chickens The dogs The well The bed - was great - I could have slept all day. Simply heaven.
