Every effort was made to ensure our stay was very comfortable, with excellent food and superb choice for breakfast of fresh fruit, yogurts, cereals and a full or lesser cooked breakfast. Everything in the bedroom ensured all your needs were met.

My husband and I stayed for 3 nights at the Newton Farmhouse. The Proprietors were extremely friendly and welcoming upon our arrival and throughout our visit. We stayed in one of the midrange double rooms with a four poster bed. Decor, linen and extra little touches were lovely. I looked at the reviews when I booked this hotel and noticed that someone had complained about the noise of traffic on the road. Our room was at the front of the property (roadside) and we were totally uneffected by the road. Breakfast was excellent. Good selection of cereal, fresh fruit salads/grapefruit etc and/or full cooked English. Would have no hesitation in recommending to family and friends. Will be going back with my teenage boys later in the year. Wouldn't change a thing!

We stayed over night & was made very welcome. The owners Lizzie & David were lovley people & very homely people. We were given an upgrade on our room unexpectedly which was really nice of Lizzie. Breakfast was really nice, got to see their chickens & hatchlings & met their two dogs, who were also friendly. All very nice all round & would definitely stay there again & would recommend to others.

From the moment we arrived until the moment we left we were made very welcome, both David & Lizzie were great hosts, first class service, couldn't have asked for more, a stunning farmhouse in a great location with a very friendly atmosphere, quite possibly the best farmhouse we've stayed at, a fab breakfast and the best sausages for miles, we will certainly be going back again!

Business trip turned into a home from home. Beautiful accommodation, so peaceful. My room was located facing the main road but as I arrived late in the evening, didn't realise until I opened the curtains in the morning, even the the view was taken up by the weeping willow, beautiful. Best breakfast I've had at a B&B loved the fresh fruit and yogurt. I'll definitely drive out if my way to stay again. Forgot to say, love the dogs!!

The rooms are really pretty - ours had a four poster bed a traditional feel, perfect for a romantic weekend away. The couple running the place a extremely helpful and accommodating. We are a young couple from London unable to drive and they were very kind in giving us lifts/pointing us towards a friendly local taxi driver. Walking in the nearby New Forest and seeing the ponies was lovely. Chocolates in the room (refilled daily) was a nice touch!

Comfortable suite, nicely decorated. The farmhouse is located by a busy road. Our room was situated in a separate building at the rear, so we couldn't hear the traffic from inside our room, but would imagine that if you were staying in the house itself, traffic noise might be a problem. Although overall our stay was pleasant enough, we would have preferred not to share the breakfast table with the family dog!

Newton farmhouse is a well run, clean and friendly place to unwind for a short break. The owners were extremely knowledgable about the area, and nothing was too much trouble for them. Breakfast was both very tasty and plentiful, so we always felt ready for the day ahead. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

Made to feel welcome from the moment we arrived. Very helpful and friendly couple who serve up a delicious breakfast in the conservatory. Room was comfortable and clean with a good sized four poster bed and lovely view over the adjoining countryside. This was a short notice booking and one night is not enough. We will return at some point.

“Staff were wonderfully helpful. The bed was the most comfortable we've slept in for many years. Real coffee in the room, real milk, chocs and mints, and loads of soaps and creams in the bathroom. All this more than made up for a slightly dated room. Good breakfast.” Adrian, Inverurie |
