close to centre and in nice area with parking
room at top of house lots of stairs
Great cooked breakfast plus they provided gluten free toast for me for breakfast, which I appreciated.
Great service. Excellent location
15 minute walk to the centre of Oxford.
I appreciate that solo travelers are always charged over the odds, but felt that the price was too high. The staff (1 person) was only present at breakfast. The food was average and the dining room was small.
Lovely fresh feeling as we walked into our room. Lovely breakfast too!
Only found the bed a bit uncomfortable.
Choice of breakfast served by pleasant friendly staff.
Bedroom had recently been painted and had a strong smell of paint which wasn't the best
Very helpful and friendly staff ... A very secure building .... Good place to park too
There was a lot of dust in lights above the beds .... Also there was an old slipper U elder the bed ..... I am a housekeeper in a big hotel ... So maybe I know where to look ... But these spots R on show and need to b clean !!!
Comfortable room, if somewhat muddled decor. Breakfast was very good. Location was reasonable convenient for the city.
I did not like being served breakfast by a mumbling youth in a hoody and shorts. I felt this was totally inappropriate. I know Oxford is expensive, but I have stayed in nicer places for a lot less money.
first impressions was a building site looked awful carpets and doorway dirty bedroom was tiny and outdated.
The room was small but warm. The double bed was comfortable and had sufficient bedding given the outside temperature. The shower worked well. There was a hair dryer on its own table with chair and mirror.
The decor was old-fashioned and unattractive. The curtains were unhemmed. We requested a 12 o'clock entry but this had not been passed on to the cleaners so our room was not ready when we arrived to change for a wedding.
There were 3 of us in 2 rooms. One of the rooms had a problem when we arrived which wasn't the fault of the b and b and they put 2 of us up in the 4 pillars at their expense. We had breakfast in the b and b with the other party member who stayed there and it was very good
The location was great! The bed was made everyday for us and the tea supplies in the room were refilled! Very clean! I was very sick while there and the owners very kindly extended my checkout so I could continue to sleep in!
Phones didn't work (or I couldn't figure them out) so when I needed to call a taxi late at night to go to the doctor, I couldn't!
Everything was pleasant, but the only criticism we had was that perhaps a radio could be put in the dining room for breakfast, not on loud but just some background music and perhaps a menu would be helpful.
We didn't have a bad experience at all but we did think that the front garden did look a bit scruffy and we understand it is winter but first impressions are important and there were bags of rubbish about which did not look very pleasant.
we stayed two nights, the first in a quiet upstairs room, very comfortable.
the second night was in a different room, beside the front door and we were constantly woken by the door slamming. Breakfast room on 1st day had no clean tables, all vacant ones covered in mess and no staff around for a long period. We almost gave up and left!
Good location, close to centre, comfy beds & clean.
Friendly staff. Very good breakfast. Good soundproofing-my room was facing a busy road but noise was negligible.
Nothing. Some might find rooms dated but they are clean and comfortable.
Very helpful staff(David) Very good breakfast. Dining area is spotless.
Ease of check in check out. Car park. Size of room
En suite had no hot running water so unable to shower for stay----given discount off bill but spoilt weekend
Very good impression of my stay. I booked a family room. The furnitures inside are lovely. My parents liked them. The breakfast was very good. And it was very clean.
Helpful staff / very good breakfast / Quiet room / excellent value for money / good parking facilities
The sheets and pillowcases are heavily scented by washing powder or fabric softener which was overpowering. The bathroom /shower wasn't very clean.
within walking distance of Oxford centre
This place had a fantastic breakfast, free WiFi and a warm and comfy bed. The staff were really lovely and welcoming.
Not quite enough toiletries -- no shampoo or conditioner and barely enough toilet tissue. The room itself had a draft, there was a cold breeze making its way in even with the window fully closed. The heater appeared not to work at all, however once in bed it was not too cold. The room was also quite loud, I could hear all movements of the people in the room above us. I think I was also unlucky with the hot water - I believe there was gas hot water but it ran cold about 30 seconds into my shower, which was an unpleasant surprise.
Staff was very pleasant and helpful. The room was tidy. I requested for a quiet room and it was that.
Breakfast times could be a bit longer. They served only between 730 and 9.
Hassle free stay. No frills accommodation. Friendly staffs. Good housekeeping. Love the daily full English breakfast. Good meal to start the day.
Shower in my room was weak.
