The breakfast room and the choice for breakfast
You could sometimes hear the people feet movements above the room
Room was clean, bed was reasonably comfortable. Breakfast service was quick.
noise from adjacent rooms. shower not very powerful, no hot water at times.
location quality of food
Very good location. Short walk into to town for sightseeing and restaurants. Very good breakfast. Friendly staff.
Road in front is quite noisy until about midnight.
Breakfast was good. The room was comfortable, staff were friendly
Bathroom was a bit dated.
Good price. Good breakfast.
Too many guest rooms crammed into building. Bedrooms were small. A lot of noise from other guests- especially upstairs at night. Breakfast was chaotic and loud. Too many poorly supervised children and adults who should know better. Room - especially bathroom - smelled of mold.
The room was absolutely clean, well decorated and welcoming. There were minimal check in requirements. The staff was helpful and friendly. We had all the comforts of home.
The breakfast was substantial and nourishing and tasty. There was only one staffer and he was a little overwhelmed at times
Really chilled out. Lovely clean rooms.relaxing
Breakfast a bit chaotic. ..but good.
The breakfast Location Cleanliness Good availability of non standard rooms (for 3 adults)
On a seriously noisy road. Would not be possible to have the window open at night.
Within easy walking distance of the city
We were on the top floor and had to climb a lot of steps although our bags were carried up. Parking very restricted - we had to park elsewhere even though we arrived quite early. The receptionist did help, though.
Beds, breakfast, wifi.
The location was excellent with a ten minute walk to the city centre. The parking was a bonus, no need to drive or pay car park fees. The breakfast was very good.
No need to be picky, had a great weekend and would go back.
Proximity to town, short walk and on bus route, great breakfast, comfortable beds and room.
The guest house was very clean and staff very helpful and courteous. Ideal for the city 5 minute walk away.
Creaking floorboards which cause disturbance during the night
The place is nice and well-kept, and the staff is very friendly. It's just and older facility. Breakfast was great, cooked to order.
Quit, ,good nights sleep, excellent breakfast and reasonably priced
needs more cupboard space for clothes and a menu for breakfast choices
Location availability of parking at guest house ,good breakfast.Would stay again.
no bedside lamp very low wattage light above bed to low to read with.Quilt on bed too heavy for summer
Comfortable lodgings. Nice food. Helpful staff. Excellent location.
It was clean WiFi working well Food was okay
We both slept badly, room design is creepy and not functional (weird lamps that weren't working) No common room to hang out, just a bed & breakfast, then out Expensive for just a bed in someone house
Near to bus stop and City Centre, Breakfast variety good. Room cleanliness good.
Floor boards creaked in our room and the room above!
Location was good, about 20 minutes' walk from the city centre, or a £5 cab ride. Our room (room 6) was comfortable and relatively quiet.
The staff are all employees and most didn't speak great English. Breakfast room is small and the food was rather greasy. The double rooms are quite small and boxy. I have stayed in better B&Bs for the price but I guess being in Oxford means you can charge a premium!
Friendly and welcoming. Was met in the car park and offered help with my luggage. I stayed for 2 nights with my 5 year old daughter, Martin was very helpful and knowledgable about the area and recommended things to do, including the story museum which was excellent for children. Breakfast was very good. Had a lovely stay and wouldn't hesitate to return : )
Nothing to dislike
Everything was lovely, and the staff were pleasant and helpful.
Oxford hotels are really overpriced. Newton is a great alternative. Early check in (1pm), parking and it's central location made it a good choice for our needs. We had room 9 on the top floor. Plenty of room for the two of us and a lovely ensuite bathroom.
Breakfast was fine. Service was efficient but not friendly.
Great staff and lovely rooms
