All of it
Noise from nearby bar
very central, reasonable price & very clean
Good location friendly staff and good breakfast
We had room 14 which was a nightmare as there is a club next door the noise was terrible we did complain in the morning but not interested, I feel we paid the same as everyone else and got the worst room so I would not recommend this hotel to anyone
Good location, staff friendly and clean hotel.
Room was far too small, had to climb out the bottom of the bed and very little floor space.
the young ladies on reception were delightful and very helpful.
it would have been nice to have a soap dish in the shower unit to put soap/shampoo on. it would also have been good if the TV screen could have been swiveled round to watch TV in bed!
Good room and breakfast
Breakfast room a bit small, hotel appears to be ground and basement floors only, there are flats above and first night was very noisy
Very friendly and welcoming staff, good location for train stations, value for money. Even though we were leaving the hotel before breakfast started they were happy to get us something to snack on as well as fruit etc., Room was large with basic facilities but clean and comfortable.
no real dislikes; bathroom was a little constrictive for the size of the room - if you are anything other than medium build the shower is a little difficult to get into. I didn't expect to have to fix the wardrobe doors before I could use them.
Location was great for hydro, our room no 20 was adequate for an overnight stay but would not stay any longer and price was okay. Would use again for overnight stay. Defo not luxury.
bathroom tiles on floor all cracked and holes in what was meant to be a bathtowel. There was a lot of noise as pubs/nightclubs either side.
Room was clean and everything worked as it should. The staff were helpful and the location is excellent - everything is within a ten minute walk including Buchanan Street and Kelvingrove. Plenty of good restaurants, pubs and bars within walking distance. Shower worked really well!
You are in a lively area so it will be noisy on a weekend but we were tired so slept through it.
Staff very friendly. Clean room.
Location of rooms. Noise level from outside.
The staff were fret when we arrived at 8am from an overnight stay. While feeding us a full English breakfast, they hustled to clean a room for us. The hotel is a block from Sauchiehall St where are many places to eat, shop and people watch!
It was a little noisy one night... But it was the election night...
Good breakfast good location.
Day time staff uninterested Parking shocking Bed uncomfortable and room uncomfortably warm despite windows open Shower area shabby and in need of upgrade
Large spacious room. Clean. Friendly staff .
Lots of noise from passers-by late at night and also traffic noise. Narrow stairs and no lift. Also has no bar or restaurant . More of a guesthouse than hotel. Room was quite dark.
The hotel was very central and had a parking spot behind the hotel. The service was friendly and the cooked breakfast was really good.
The red and black colour scheme in the bedroom was not quite to my taste. The coffee was self service from a machine.
Breakfast and helpful staff. We needed special milk and they 'delivered'. Access to centre of town and eateries. Parking available.
Very basic, but central.
Stayed at the Newton for 3 days in Aug. Hotel is a great makeover, good use of wood accents. Rooms modern, shower out of star wars but worked fine once I got the hang of it. Close to centre town and transit.
Don't ever stay in room 16. It's next to a mind numbing, head banging club.Sleep impossible until 2:00 am.
the staff very friendly.breakfast good service.central for all shopping and theatre very spacious rooms
in our room noisey from back of karma sutra .biscuit wrapper behind arm chair shower a bit black due to dampness.
He was very kind and everything was perfect. Regards
Our room was ground floor, on a lane across from a pub!! no A.C. so we had to opened the window. scary and very noisy, espacially when people were out side to smoke and at closing time WoW!
Carpet is really gross, as are drapes. Made the whole place feel old and dingy.
Very helpful and welcoming staff. Good breakfast included.
Erratic WiFi connection in bedroom
excellent location good portion of breakfast
room was clean, but bathroom could be cleaned proper, there is some mould in corner of shower and we found a surprise in toilet as well, it was disgusting. also we got just 1 bath towel for 2 people. no hand towel or leg towel at all. also there is no any soap or shower gel in a bathroom.
Great location Friendly helpful staff
Limited parking Little bit run down
