The breakfast and hot water pressure
The facilities and breakfast was fab. Loved the power shower
It was a nice stay, friendly staff, clean, plenty of info on stuff to do enjoyed the location as it was right in the center
No smoking area, breakfast wasn't too nice, rooms view was appalling
10 min walk from Queens Rail Station. Plenty of places to suit all tastes neatby. Shops nearby. Convenient for Hydro, 15-20 min walk. Room at back, so quiet and secluded. Staff friendly and helpful.
Husbnad had mattress spring in back, but otherwise a comfortable room for price.
Smell of cigarettes in the room and bar next to my window. No a good sleep
Clean and a good breakfast.
Very hard and uncomfortable bed. Hardly got any sleep due to bed and nearby music going into the early hours. Also shouting by drunks in the street ( room was at front of hotel).
Very noisy room next to the reception desk. Shower took forever to warm up. Dirty rooms.
Shower is fab!!!
Located in a dumpy place of Glasgow. Noise all night from nearby cafe called kama sutra. Room smells of dampness
Cleanliness of hotel , location, really nice welcome from receptionist
Arrived back in early hours from our night out and had to ring bell n wait several minutes to get in, perhaps guests issued with a key would be better
Breakfast was cheap beans, bacon etc. Bathroom smelled like there was a burst pipe, reception didn't do anything when they were told. I was disapointed, really only worth the hassle if it is a great deal as location was pretty good for me.
The staff were fantastic(john on reception)could not do enough and made our stay a pleasure. Room was really comfortable and the dining room was very clean and cosy. Breakfast was fresh and very tasty with plenty on offer. We would definitely recommend the hotel for a relaxing break. Great value for money and we will be recommending to our friends.
There was nothing not to like.......Great value for money.
Good location and setting. A fine hotel for the money with a reasonable breakfast.
One bedside lamp did not work, also the room which we were allocated was next to main reception and noise carried through to our room which was disturbing. Should have opened the window during the night but initially noisy outside so room got a bit hot and stuffy. However will know better next time and would use the hotel again if they procure some teapots instead of having to dunk teabags in hot water from machine at breakfast.
Clean Spacious room.
Didn't like our room door being 3 ft from reception desk. You could clearly hear every word spoken.not much privacy.continental breakfast was understandable with it being newears day but all that was on offer was cereal toast fruit and slices of cheese.very poor.on the plus side wetherspoons is just around the corner and breky is very good.
Nice location, an old but clean hotel with friendly staff, wifi doesn't work very well on some floors, breakfast included which is great
It's okay to stay for couple of nights but you don't want to spend an evening in a hotel, because it's quite old and tv is tiny:)
Cheap and cheerful Staff excellent
Only 1 pillow per person which were well used and very hard Towels need to be replaced
It was very clean with helpful staff and was great value for money.
Good staffs and very supportive.
Its a bit noisy if you stay in the from rooms to the road.
The wifi signal and location
The bathroom was not very clean. There was mildew all over the tiles and toothpaste spray marks on the tiles beside the sink. The shower door leaked badly so you had to use a towel to mop it up. The radiators did not work so we had a little but very noisy fan heater which did not have a safety off switch if it fell over. The view from the window on the ground level was of beer cans and Bottles of Buck fast wine. I could go on but you get the jist.
I had a luggage with me, and the stairs were really killing me.
Excellent location, great value for money, friendly and helpful staff. Breakfast was good and was included in the price. We would stay here again.
Unfortunately the heating in our room was not working, a small fan heater however was supplied. Due to having no heating a shower in the morning was a no-no simply due to the bathroom being very very cold. There was a problem with the drains so when you used the bathroom sink the water took a while to drain away and we got food stuff come up the plug hole. This was not an issue as we were only staying one night. We would go back.
I liked the standard, the staff was nice, the room was clean, very nice bathroom. There is a kettle in the room, so you can make yourself a tea, which is nice. Breakfasts are OK, either cereals, fruit or full English breakfast. The hotel is located in the centre of Glasgow
The hotel is located next to the bar, and unfortunately what I experienced were shouting and crying guys (it was Monday, and they kept yelling till 2 a.m.). So be aware if you're going to Glasgow for business- I did, so these noises really did not help me to relax and regenerate before the next day.
Nothing to complain about. Maybe a shelf in the bathroom
Staff were very friendly and competent. Breakfast was very nice and freshly cooked.m
Bed was a little lumpy and I was disappointed to find the spare pillows did not have pillow cases on so didn't use them.
The staff were lovely, and the hotel itself very clean, i like how quirky the layout is.
The beds were a bit hard for our liking, but otherwise all was good
Good price and excellent location. Surprisingly comfortable and really quite clean. Staff were helpful and the hotel offers great value for money. It is what it is and I'll probably use the hotel again.
