the staff very friendly.breakfast good service.central for all shopping and theatre very spacious rooms
in our room noisey from back of karma sutra .biscuit wrapper behind arm chair shower a bit black due to dampness.
He was very kind and everything was perfect. Regards
Our room was ground floor, on a lane across from a pub!! no A.C. so we had to opened the window. scary and very noisy, espacially when people were out side to smoke and at closing time WoW!
Carpet is really gross, as are drapes. Made the whole place feel old and dingy.
Very helpful and welcoming staff. Good breakfast included.
Erratic WiFi connection in bedroom
excellent location good portion of breakfast
room was clean, but bathroom could be cleaned proper, there is some mould in corner of shower and we found a surprise in toilet as well, it was disgusting. also we got just 1 bath towel for 2 people. no hand towel or leg towel at all. also there is no any soap or shower gel in a bathroom.
Great location Friendly helpful staff
Limited parking Little bit run down
a bit noisey
Room neat, clean and tidy with good shower.
In city centre next to busy street so lot of noise. Great if you want to be out partying.
Good customer service, friendly staff, clean tidy room, and excellent facilities. Breakfast was delicious and the location was convenient for the town centre.
There was some noise from the main road that did make it slightly difficult to get to sleep, but despite that we still had a good nights sleep.
Fairly central location. Had a car park. Wifi was good.
Decor a bit dated. Room was right behind reception, so was noisy.
Traffic noise all night
Good location. Parking available although in back lane way
Generally not a fussy traveller but Cleanliness could be improved. needs revamping and new carpets. A bit of bleach to remove mould in bathroom would go a long way!
Location was good. Breakfast very good. Friendly staff. Comfortable bed
Right on street. So too noisy to have window open.
everything was very nice and will stay again
Behaviour of ignorant selfish people in the street outside, making a lot of noise late at night.
Rooms at front of hotel are very noisy
THE STAFF WERE BRILLIANT. THE BREAKFAST WAS OK THE ROOM WAS CLEAN THE LOCATION WAS EXCELLENT AND WAS CLOSE TO MANY PUBS AND RESTAURANTS IN THE IMMIEDIATE AREA BUT I DOUBT IF WE WOULD RETURN TO THE NEWTON HOTEL, MAINLY BECAUSE OF THE NOISE FROM OUTSIDE.
TOO MUCH NOISE FROM OUTSIDE OUR BEDROOM FROM THE RESTAURANTS OPPOSITE. SLEEP WAS NEIGH ON IMPOSSIBLE. THE ROOM DOOR WAS INSECURE. THE MATTRESS ON THE BED WAS ROCK HARD AND DID NOT LEND FOR A DECENT NIGHTS SLEEP.
Breakfast was good
Loud music until 1am - 3am depending on the night if the week. The bed was like sleeping on a board. One morning, breakfast was supposed to start at 7am no staff turned up until 7.40 with no explanation.
Very friendly staff on arrival, gave us info we needed for our stay and recommended that we book a taxi early for our venue which she did for us, very clean building, breakfast was lovely and plentiful and again staff couldn't have been more helpful, would definitely use the Newton hotel again.
Friendly and helpful staff. Good internet connection in room. Central location.
Our room was clean and comfortable, but has obviously been done on the cheap. Some nice touches, like complimentary cookies etc. Reasonable breakfast
The location and some of the staff seem a bit dodgy. The shower door was covered in some kind of putty, presumably to stop a leak, but the appearance is very shabby
Great location Good service
nice room, new showers, good breakfast.
my room was very comfortable, clean and cosy. the staff really make the place here too, the reception staff, lovely breakfast and room cleaning staff were friendly, helpful and polite. would most definitely stay again and recommend it.
its not the hotel's fault but it was just a little far from the SECC centre where I had to go each day, bit of a long walk !
