Breakfast was good
Loud music until 1am - 3am depending on the night if the week. The bed was like sleeping on a board. One morning, breakfast was supposed to start at 7am no staff turned up until 7.40 with no explanation.
Very friendly staff on arrival, gave us info we needed for our stay and recommended that we book a taxi early for our venue which she did for us, very clean building, breakfast was lovely and plentiful and again staff couldn't have been more helpful, would definitely use the Newton hotel again.
Friendly and helpful staff. Good internet connection in room. Central location.
Our room was clean and comfortable, but has obviously been done on the cheap. Some nice touches, like complimentary cookies etc. Reasonable breakfast
The location and some of the staff seem a bit dodgy. The shower door was covered in some kind of putty, presumably to stop a leak, but the appearance is very shabby
Great location Good service
nice room, new showers, good breakfast.
my room was very comfortable, clean and cosy. the staff really make the place here too, the reception staff, lovely breakfast and room cleaning staff were friendly, helpful and polite. would most definitely stay again and recommend it.
its not the hotel's fault but it was just a little far from the SECC centre where I had to go each day, bit of a long walk !
Great make over, modern furnishings, and a shower straight from Starwars. I eventually got the hang of it. Particularly liked the use of wood throughout the building. Staff helpful, good breakfast. Don't ever though ask for room 16....there's a club next door.....head banging music???until the wee hours. Enjoyed my stay.
Nothing all's good
nice wee hotel good location
no bar no fridge room was cold at night
Room was clean.
Lots of outside noise - so got no sleep. Breakfast was disgusting - it looked as if it had been kept warm for hours!!
breakfast not to bad
no plug in sink tv remote did not work shower did not work properly noise that sounde like water running all night
The bed was very comfy, the hotel was in a good location for bars and shopping
Staff were very nice and the room was very comfortable
ideally situated in Glasgow .
shower ,no need for multiple shower nozzles in such a small cubicle! no shelf in the bathroom !!
Staff were friendly breakfast was good
Difficult to get up and down stairs with suitcases
Cheap budget hotel in the city centre. Value for money. no frills. We arrived early for check in and the staff were very accomodating
Our bedroom window was next to the kitchen and the bins. We didnt really care about the view but it got really noisy. Our sleep was disturbed, especially early in the morning when the kitchen was prepping for breakfast. The dining area for breakfast isnt big enough to accomodate all guests on a busy day. We had to share our table with another couple staying at the hotel.
Location perfect. Excellent value for money
Shower in room 5 very slow to drain, so we were standing in water!
big room with high ceilings room was clean lots of facilitates within the room had a double and single bed in the room
shelf and mirror above the sink, Had walk through the dining area to get room staff were slightly stand offish hot breakfast wasn't self service. wasn't nice view from the window
The rooms and reception area were very clean and tidy, the breakfast was first class, with decent quality food. All of the staff were friendly and helpful. We appreciated the coffee and tea facilities, and toiletries in the room, which were replaced every day while we stayed.
The tiny shower cubicle in the room made it a bit mission impossible, and the coffee machine in the dining room dispensed horrid coffee.
Inexpensive. Clean. Friendly staff on check in. Room was ready an hour before normal check in time. Excellent restaurants nearby.
I had to leave before 7. Check-in staff said a small takeaway breakfast would be put together and wasn't. No hot water. No TV. Ironing board was broken.
I requested a quiet room and got one right next to the street. The window wouldn't close completely and the noise was deafening. The TV faced the door and not the bed.
Very friendly welcome on arrival and I had a very large bedroom and comfortable beds.
on arrival I was told I would have to move rooms on the second day of my stay which was inconvenient and if your room was not near the reception area you would have to go down a flight of stairs through the resterant where you had your breakfast though the door where there were some more rooms but if you were in rooms with higher numbers you would have to go up some stairs and they did not have a lift but the receptionist would open the fire door to let you bring your luggage through. I would of rather stayed in the first room as it was smaller than the second room which did not have a plug in the wash bason I kept banging my head on the glass shelf above the sink when having a shave because the shelf was to low there was no soup holder in the shower the shower was very complicated to understand how it worked it had 2 shower heads a jet spray shower and knossles with different spays and a normal shower like in other hotels people do not want complicated showers. They did not do early breakfast it was 7.00am - 9.00am Monday - Friday and 8.00am - 10.00am Saturday & Sunday. When I was leaving I asked the receptionist why I had to move rooms on the second day she said "because the people which were going into your first room were staying longer" that has never happened to me before and I do a lot off travelling and stay in different hotels and guest houses around the country and this is not acceptable.
The person on the front desk was very friendly, and gave us some information on Glasgow. Location of the hotel is in the center. The room is nice, beds comfortable,
