There is free, unrestricted on-street parking and free Wi-Fi. All bedrooms at the New Wilmington have a private bathroom. There are first-floor rooms and other that are accessible with an elevator. Secure parking garages are available if needed. There is a private lounge and bar, with regular entertainment in the evenings, including live music up to 4 nights a week. The 80-seat, air conditioned restaurant offers traditional home-style cooking. As well as continental and full English breakfasts, there are packed lunches, reasonably priced lunch snacks and evening meals. Children under 5 eat free, while guests aged 6-14 receive a 50% discount. A clean, comfortable hotel, quiet and ideally situated. Staff very kind and friendly. A good choice of food but looked very dull on the plate as the vegetables were overcooked - but some people like them that way! The hotel is a clever conversion from a terrace of three large houses and includes a lift and disabled rooms; however the layout can appear labyrinthine due to the fire doors and the differences in levels (not all served by the lift).

Ideally situated near to the seafront and amenities. Helpful pleasant staff and a comfortable room. Dinner was excellent as was the tasty breakfast. We hope to visit you again when we next go to Eastbourne Thanks for looking after us. Pat & David Pearce.

Comfortable hotel within easy walking distance of theatres and art gallery. Parking vouchers available from Reception. Excellent cooked breakfast. Spacious dining room. Efficient waiting staff.

We were made to feel at home which we were aware of having stayed at the New Wilmington hotel previously. All the staff were very friendly and we were also pleased to be greeted in a friendly fashion on arrival. The fact that there was no onsite carpark which made parking at the kerbside somewhat of a lottery.

The welcoming smile on arrival, help when needed, immaculate rooms, The double bed in our room was (we think) queen size and therefore smaller than we are used to and would have liked. Also, each room is allocated a table at breakfast and so when we went to sit by the window we were swiftly redirected to our allocated table at the back of the restaurant - we found this a little quirky/Faulty Tower ish but amused rather than upset us.

The room was clean and fresh with modern decor. The staff were all really friendly and couldn't do enough to help. I went with my mother who is 70 and the hotel is very geared towards the older customer. There was entertainment in the bar on Sat, which was good fun. It's also literally a 5 min walk to the seafront so very convenient and also just 5 mins from the winter garden and congress theatres. Two things that would have made the hotel perfect. There is no on site parking so you have to park in the street. The hotel did give us a permit and we had no trouble finding a space, but suspect this might be harder in peak season. Also while the food wasn't bad - it wasn't really what I would class restaurant standard. It was decent enough but I dud ask for my steak nedium rare and it came out grey. But that is being picky because the meat was tender with a good flavour.

It was our first stay at the Wilmington Hotel Eastbourne, we found it to be clean, well kept, the room we had was comfortable, nice clean bathroom, which had a shower and bath, the one critical point we had that the bath did not have grab rails either on the bath or the wall, this would have been better and safer, especially for the not so mobile residents, the food was excellent nice dining room, and very pleasant staff, all in all a jolly good 3 star hotel,
