good choice of breakfast, clean rooms, excellent location, very friendly staff, children friendly. we would definitely come again.

The modern feel of the entrance and lobby nice up to date décor of the restaurant. The hotel is dog friendly which is rare to find but great for our little dog

unfortunately after the lobby it was straight back to the 1980's, woodchip wallpaper all over the place and pink bedrooms and old fashioned granny chairs. Need to be brought back to 21's century

General ethos and friendliness of the staff, the food in the restaurant was fantastic and good value for money.

The staff especially "John" who welcomed us like family, the whole atmosphere was home from home.

Staff were fantastically helpful. I was running in the Brighton marathon and had to leave breakfast would normally start. The lady on reception got in early especially for us so that we would have some breakfast. Hotel was very clean and confortable.

the shops are great people told me that eastbourne was full with old people.nice for aday outing.but not for holldays.this is so wrong we had a great time

Very helpful and friendly staff. Very clean and the one evening meal we had was good. We would stay there again - excellent value for money.

Unfortunately the chef didn't start til 7.30am and as we had to be out at 7.00am for the marathon we couldn't have cooked breakfast but had cereals and orange juice left for us arrange by the very helpful receptionist. No hot water at 6.00am in our room either. Also water was cold at 4.00pm the same day in the same room - so cold shower!! After running 26 miles - not good!!

Nice bathroom, breakfast ok

Arrived at the hotel looks lovely downstairs but then was given a top floor room which with a young child was a pain to get to and the decor was nothing like the pictures which is very deceiving. The only reason I went for this hotel is because it looked lovely and modern but actually the room was just old fashioned like the rest of the local hotels. Wouldn't return again at the price and room standard.

Smell of paint was overpowering at dinner time. Noise from scaffolders each morning outside bedroom window.

The staff were friendly and helpful. The breakfast was freshly cooked and of your choice, and had not been sitting under heat lamps which is a welcome change these days. The bar lounge and restaurant decor was very fresh and modern. Even the entertainment on the one evening we stayed was pleasant to listen to..

The way in which the rooms are portrayed in the photographs. Not all the rooms are modernised as shown in the advert. I assume if you book on line with a late deal you are not likely to be allocated one of these rooms. Despite changing rooms we were still in a very old fashioned- swirly carpet and wood chip wallpaper one. The bed was very soft and spongy.This second room was much brighter and more spacious then the first and the bathrooms although very small were modern and clean. It was a shame as having moved from a dingy room at another Eastbourne hotel for what appeared better we were once again disappointed. In fairness the hotel does seem to be going through a refurbishment program and maybe the rooms will all be upgraded to what you see in the adverts.

Lynne the Manager was so attentive, as we're all the team, they really could not do enough for you. The hotel is a real gem, we chose the superior room and highly recommend it! It was large and very comfortable and excellent value for money. We will definitely return.... a spotless, perfectly run hotel with a warm welcome and great location.

Receptionist had just finished a cigarette when I arrived and smelt dreadfully of smoke. The decor is very old fashioned and tired. Felt like I had stayed at an old aged pensioners home.

It was very friendly, staff were polite, hotel was clean, tidy and had a lovely shower room. Probably more ideal for older couple as the facilities ie stair lifts etc was geared for older people and the singer/bingo etc. But for us it was a base to sleep and have breakfast, which was ideal... Would definitely recommend and also would go again.

A very nice comfortable hotel,with all the amenities within walking distance.The free parking in some areas can be a little difficult to find especially outside the hotel.we stayed in November so i should think that in summertime it could be worse.

Friendly helpful staff.Clean comfortable well equipped room,spacious walkin shower,ideal for my disabled wife.
