As above, the room I received was not that which I thought I had booked

Our rooms were big and spacious, beautifully decorated and very comfortable. Good quality toiletries in the bathroom. Could have been cleaner - spots on the floor around the toilet and hair in the corners. The English concierge was helpful and charming as were the majority of the younger male staff and barman. Very handy to the Gloucester Road Underground, restaurants & cafes.

Check-in was a long arduous process which we had to go through again when my husband joined us 2 days later; booked 2 double rooms & got twins then a long stressful process to try to get a room with a double bed; didn't get the adjoining rooms we had asked for, not even the same floor; the desk clerk was arrogant and immovable to deal with; our travel cards were blocked leaving us with insufficien

Staff were on autopilot not very responsive. We booked a double room and were given a twin room.
