Location and comfort.
The new décor and cleaniness
underfloor heating didn't work - although not needed.
Modern facilities, kitchen equipped well, quality towels and bedding, very spacious for 4 people.
great place. best i have ever stayed. totally worth the money.
Very clean and well appointed. Great kitchen and bathroom. Comfy beds. Spacious. Quiet. Relaxing.
No elevator so if you can't do stairs too well, stay on the lower floors.
Really well equipped, very clean, very central.
Apartment was well appointed, clean and great space.
No working wi fi. And a 4th floor walk up.
Nice modern decor and well equipped.
Outside noise, windows could be better insulated
Perfect location for experiencing Edinburgh, staff very helpful on arrival and departure. Apartment had two bathrooms and well kitted out kitchen, comfortable lounge area with TV and dining table. Beds comfortable and very little noise outside at night so good nights sleep.
Apartment was a little tired - some bathroom floor tiles cracked, mirror wardrobe doors in bedroom were difficult to slide with trim coming away, some kitchen cupboard doors were loose where attached to appliances. In other words a bit of maintenance was required. As we were out most of the time this did not spoil our stay, and plus points outweighed negatives.
How dusty the apartment was! The images on booking.com didnt match the apartment. Images showed a dining room and it didnt have one. 2 x double rooms, try 1 double and 1 4ft bed on a landing with a mattress that felt like sleeping on MDF. Advertised as recently refurnished - kitchen cabinets and work top damaged and clearly not recently refurnished.
Good location, only 20mins walking distance to Waveley station, and down time. You can even walk to Edinburg castle in 30mins. Restaurant, convenient shops along the street.
Noisy at night because several pubs nearby.
1.The bed was into the roof space thus the right hand sleeper could not easily navigate the bedroom in the middle of the night. 2. approximately 5 hours after returning the keys through the letter box as requested when we left, I received a phone call from a member of staff to tell me there was a cushion missing and please could I return it - or they would charge £50.00 to my visa card to cover its value. The housekeeper had not been able to find the cushion in the apartment. Perhaps a guest of ours had taken it? please would I check with our visitors to see if they had the cushion I was annoyed at the presumption that I had taken the cushion - or indeed that a guest of mine would do so. At their insistence I did phone my guest and asked if she had taken a cushion from the apartment. She had not. I phoned back with this information. The staff did not seem to accept that I or anyone associated with me had taken the cushion was not . However as we had not received an inventory, and I had not taken a note of what was in the flat - it is now the housekeeper's word against mine. I do not know what the outcome of this dispute will be. I have said I will not pay for it even though I signed a declaration that I would make good any loss or damage. Therefore if you plan to stay in this lovely apartment ensure you agree about what is in it.
Great location 15 min walk from Princes Street and v. good for all the Fringe events on this side of the city. Really well equiped kitchen and overall quality of accomodation great. 24hr grocery store on the corner.A faulty bathroom fan was fixed v. promptly
The internal design is very very nice and comfortable. The location is exeelent. A plesent and comfortable place to be in.
The flow of watewr in the shower is very slow. Childern prefer to have separate beds, at least separate blankets. Additional chairs to put things on in the bed rooms are very impoortanat.
Location for centre of Edinburgh and nearby pubs
Restrictive bedding arrangements - both rooms only had double beds with no option of twin beds in the rooms.
Location was good for city centre facilities, easy to find, nice size apartments with good size rooms. Handy to have a kitchen.
Only one key for 3 people- come back later to get the other key- I would have expected them to offer to drop in another key. It smelled of sick when we arrived- I had suspicions they hadn't cleaned up as well as they should have after the last guests. They did come when I called them and when we returned back the smell had gone although I would have expected a call to see if we were now happy. Very busy street at night time. Bands playing and loud music late into the night.
Service apartment with useful kitchen facilitate
Though both good locations and not very far away from each other, it is not very convenient as have to check in at different location with luggage
We were in the Drummond Street apartments. Fabulous location for the Festival. No noise so had excellent sleep. We were 4 girls travelling together and had 3 bedrooms. One of the upstairs bedrooms 'overlooked' the downstairs one and the other upstairs one overlooked the lounge/kitchen. Not a problem at all for us, but could be tricky for couples. You could pull down a blind in the bedrooms for privacy, but you can clearly hear conversation from the room you 'overlook'. The check in staff were absolutely fantastic and you could leave luggage in their office. They sent a text when the room was ready for us (we arrived early as had an early flight in). Excellent apartments and excellent staff. Would definitely stay there again.
The city, yes; the accommodation no.
The description certainly DID NOT match the reality and the adjective 'luxury' was way off mark. I have stayed in appartments in Edinburgh before which were much better and cheaper!
it had all the facilities required for a comfortable. stay kitchen had everything you need
located at the top of a four storey building stairs were murder
Nicely decorated and fitted out, and well positioned being 10 min walk from Royal Mile. Close to cafes and shops.
Mattress was very lumpy and needed replacing. Noise from nearby beer garden late at night. Top floor made walking up and down with luggage a challenge - we managed but others might struggle.
Beautifully furnished, great location, comfortable beds, very clean. The staff were lovely, very helpful and it was great to be able to leave our bags in the office.
The whole apartment was just great
Central location for the Fringe, historic buildings. Mostly comfortable, reasonably equipped.
Kitchen - fridge not clean, no oven gloves, sink requires a bowl as plug leaks. Bathroom - towel radiator coming off the wall, shower head rail coming off the wall, shower ok for those under 1.6mt tall, extractor fan not working Second bedroom - very tight double, bed against wall so have to climb over partner, have to climb over bed head to open window, radiator coming off the wall No instructions regarding waste/recycling
