The room was very clean, well provisioned with tea and coffee and biscuits, incl. decaff which I requested when booking. The heating had been switched on, as it was particularly chilly and a new television was provided, which was very thoughtful Breakfast was excellent and the proprietors were very pleasant and helpful.

No shelf in the bathroom under mirror to put toiletries on and lack of hooks on the door/wall for clothing.

Friendly owners, good breakfast with a fruit salad in a room with atmosphere, room with coffee and tea making facilities with a tea cake(or something like that). Good and powerful shower, easy to get the right temperature. Toiletries were available in case guests needed them, lovely thought. More cloth hangers were provided soon. the host gave us also advise for a walk in the town. Carlisle has a nice restaurant called Casa Romana where we had dinner twice. At Foxes(cafe) you can enjoy your coffee or smoothie, nice and relaxed atmosphere with good music.

Mattress in double room was too soft for us.

We arrived and there was a mix up over our booking (not our fault). Sheila recovered very quickly ans was apologetic and a fantastic host. No problem accommodating bikes and also let us use the clothes line, even brought the washing in for us.

Warm and wonderful, calm and cosy. A very nice B&B. The location is ideal for trips to Carlisle, the lakes, Hadrian's Wall and the Scottish Borders.

Parking was a bit of a night mare. May I suggest that a clearer explanation is given of where to park. The B&B is situated on a difficult intersection of road.

Friendliness and location of Guest House.

A little confusing to find a car park. All good as free car park over night just across from lodgings once booked in.

We were made to feel very welcome immediately. The whole establishment felt clean and fresh, traditional without being twee (is that even a word??). It had all we needed and more. Would happily go back again.

Parking is on the street with a permit, this could have been difficult but there were several places available when we arrived. Also the house is on a busy road so we had to close the windows to cut out road noise in the early hours. The double glazing did the job though and we slept fine after that.

Sheila and Nick are excellent hosts and nothing is too much trouble. Our room was very comfortable and there is always plenty of choice to suit all tastes for breakfast. Would highly recommend.

Friendly owners Good breakfast Not far from centre of Carlisle (approx. 0.5mile)

There was a safe place for my cycle in the locked up back yard, but unfortunately not under cover. ensuite shower rather than bath (just my preference after a long day on the bike!)
