Only a short walk into town. Transport to outlet was every 10 mins. Owner couldn't be more helpful. Breakfast was continental and was good. Bed really comfy and clean.
Room was very small.as was bathroom not much room to move
Hotel was clean, owner was helpful and all round good place to stay.
Clean and tidy establishment, had everything we needed and very homely. Short walk to York centre and Angie was so friendly and very informative...brilliant stay
Clean modern rooms and a good shower. Good location.
Excellent value for money and perfect location Within a leisurely 10 minute walk into town alongside the river. Parking facilities which were easy access and avoid hitting the main town traffic as on the outskirts. Staff helpful
Unable to access wi fi on first floor (only ground floor)
We loved everything about the hotel and will be coming back soon we will also recommend to other friends
There was nothing we didn't like it was perfect
We had booked the small double bedroom, but were upgraded when we arrived. A kind gesture. Will use this b&b again
Had to check out by 1030hrs
The owners were helpful and friendly - lovely people. The room was warm and comfortable. Great location. I hope to return again soon!
loved everything about this property, Great location , Owners are delightful and very friendly and gave some great hits and tips on where to visit to eat and drink and gave great directions to get into town which is only 10 minute walk along the river, rooms are great , confortable ad clean,
The only minus is the mattress was to soft and traffic noise is a little loud as property is on main road.
Had a good nights sleep, easy walking distance to the city's attractions, people in the area very friendly. Plenty of places to eat out, lots to see. The rooms are very clean, 10 out of 10, would like to stay there again. Great value for money.
No known issues.
Good location & friendly welcome.
Very squeaky bed - whenever we turned over it woke us up! Shower head support didn't work so you had to lean it against the wall. No bedside table on one side of bed & limescale in the kettle.
Staff were very friendly and welcoming. The room was large and comfortable. Location was very near the river for a nice walk with the dog and only 10 minutes into town. Hotel was quite so great to be able to leave the dog for an hour if you want to go out for a meal.
Not many places in York that accept dogs so struggled to find places to eat if we had the dog with us.
Breakfast great even though not full English but good not to have that grease smell in the morning. Room nice size for 4 of us. staff nice. Parking.
Bit out of town for price.
There is a nice walk into the centre along the river, great in summer probably not so good in winter. There is parking. The lady running the place was very nice and friendly, breakfast was good. No cooked breakfast but a good selection of cold cuts, cheese, breads and cereals, which were regularly filled up.
We booked into a small double and it was certainly very small. That was ok but the bathroom was also very tiny, hard to move around in and smelt a bit of drains. Since the door didn't close properly - it was a sort of concertina affair probably because of the space - that wasn't great. In addition the shower was very cramped and the bottom of the shower curtain looked mildewy.
lovely location, a nice walk along river into town. A varied choice for breakfast and a really helpful couple who are the owners. Will definitely go back to no.71
Self service breakfast
Reasonably close to city centre Free parking
Bed was the worst I have ever slept on and needs changing Room was far too small Shower head kept falling on us and not water pipe was scalding.
Gorgeous room (number 1), bed was so comfy!
A little disappointed that Number Seventy One or Booking.com did not let us know that Full English Breakfast is no longer available. It was a basic continnental instead. I brought this up with Seventy one and they said it's changed since I booked, would have been nice to have been told before/compensated a little. The 2nd day we went into town to pay for a full english instead.
Good location, friendly staff, clean comfortable room. Own parking area.
No full english breakfast despite saying so at time of booking. Poor wifi coverage.
Location, the staff and facilities.
Traffic noise unfortunately. Choose room at back of accommodation,
Breakfast was terrible, a few cereals to choose from, and a fridge full of sliced meat. The room was relatively clean, but could have done with dusting.
What a wonderful time we had at No. 71. The landlady was a very welcoming woman who it was a pleasure to stay with. Can only recommend.
Less than 10 minute walk to centre of York with easy access to river. Nice pubs and restaurants nearby. No cooked breakfasts, but what was there was nice. Good hospitality. Lots to like, but overall we thought price was a bit steep for the service we got.
TV remote had been lost so couldn't watch TV for first day. Replacement didn't have batteries so no TV for second day. Had to ask for loo roll when our single roll ran out. Wifi signal only just about worked. Had some trouble sleeping due to noisy louts outside until late (at the rear).
It was a great stay there. The staff was really friendly!
