un déco simple et très éficace pour un joli cadre avec des chambres correctes même la compacte que nous avions prise.proximité du centre de York parking un poil petit mais c'est juste our dire qu'il y a un défaut. |

The whole hotel had a lovely atmosphere and was warm (great for a winter break).It was an easy pleasent walk to the city centre.The mini bar and room fascilities were great. The breakfast service was not of a particularly high standard and we waited for a very long time especially on the first morning.My Mum had no shampoo in her room.The greeting at reception could have been warmer, but generally the staff were lovely. |

it was only 10min walk to city centre,bed was comfy,one member of staff was friendly and helpful.bar was open until 2 and reasonably priced drink. room was not very superior we expected nets on 4 poster bed as advertised but was none.mini bar was free but only 1 lager ,1sml red wine,1sml cava,1can coke,1can lemonade oh and tap water and milk oh and olives.we waited 1hr for breakfast apparently the chef hadn't turned in. |

We liked everything about our stay with Hotel Noir it was a very pleasant stay and would highly reccomend to anyone. We will definately be returning at some point. :o) |

My sister and I went shopping in York, visited some of the sights and had dinner/tea in some of the restaurants/cafés that York has to offer. The room seemed very pricey for just a free bar (a very small bottle of cava, red wine and a small beer), as well as our supposed "free" newspaper being stolen (quote from receptionist) on Sunday morning. We were not offered another paper - very annoying as we'd paid for this service. Also, the carpet clearly had not been vacuumed and the bathroom floor had not been swept/washed. |

The Hotel staff were extremely friendly, the room was clean and the food very good. I think the Hotel is very overpriced at £125.00 per nights and the room was on the front of the hotel which was very noisy |

Very comfortable, clean and friendly Slight problem with the shower but we mentioned it at reception and it was going to be dealt with, and we had appology. |

The room we stayed in was an extension to the property, it felt like we were in a converted garage, it was cold but they did turn the heating up for us when we mentioned this. Ok for a quick stay over but wouldn't go if i was staying more than one night. too quiet and not very friendly. |

The hotel was clean and value for money. we were on the ground floor outside of the conservatory and we liked the fact of having our own 'front door' When we ordered paninis, these were served very basic without garnish or any embellishments and were very dry and not very edible. We suggest a little more thought on presentation regarding the snacks . |

Hotel was welcoming. Black and White decor and art work was great. Bar and small loung area at front of hotel was comfortable. Room was small but perfectly adequate for two. Shower room very small but clean and very nicely decorated. Room was warm with TV coffee making machine and complimentry drinks in fridge each day! Very nice. i assumed parking would be available for all guests as suggested on website. In fact, the car park was extremely limited. We were told to park in the adjoining street, which was residential and clearly has problems of its own for residents parking. I moved my car into the carpark on Friday morning and and two residents approached to ask if I was staying at the hotel? I can absolutely understand their frustration in guests parking there for a few days at a time possibly. Its a situation the hotel needs to address. |

The hotel was in good condition and had good facilities, the dining area was well laid out and the food was of a high standard. The room was clean and tidy, pleasent decor with fair/good quality furniture. The bathroom was clean but was in need of some repair around the shower seal (minor). |

A very pleasant and relaxing hotel with friendly staff, happy to recommend it to others. Little touches such as a list of 'what you may have forgotten to pack' with the invitation that if you need them, they are available from reception at no additional cost - really thoughtful. Breakfast cooked to order and excellent. Tiles in bathroom were flaking a little. |

Nice flat walk into city cente. Good breakfast, but limited amount with a long wait. Old-fashioned, scruffy bathroom. Old stained toilet, mouldy sealant round bath. Strange decor - pine bedside cabinets and black and perspex furniture. "Complimentary mini-bar" contained one miniature bottle of wine, one beer and 2 cans of soft drink. Bed too hard. |

from the moment we checked in the staff were attentive and friendly .the room was very clean and warm the extras were a nice touch all in all a very pleasant experience |

We got upgraded from a compact to a double room due to a cancellation. Bed was comfortable. Very good facilities in room: decent TV, radio, and a free minibar. Quality of breakfast was higher than average. Shower pressure was very low: they badly need to fix this. Breakfast service on Saturday was slow and didn't seem well organized. Some road noise as the room was facing a main road, but this wasn't too disturbing. |

Very well designed well furnished Hotel,great choice at breakfast and the free mini bar is a fantastic idea. Unfortunately very poor check in - car park was full when we arriived and it was almost well you should have got here early,check out not much better! maybe the guy was having a bad day as the other staff were very friendly and helpful |

Location, walk into city along interesting road or a river walk. Being able to have an evening meal which was beautifully presented with little touches eg. chocolate with p'mint tea. Cooking needs a little refining. A kettle to boil water, the choice of cofee/tea was too limiting. |

The staff were very helpful and courteous. The breakfast was very good. The mattress on the bed was uncomfortable, it sagged in the middle. The room (203) was directly above the boiler and it was too hot. |
