Event entertainment for children and swimming pool
The food was dreadfull
A very nice clean pleasant hotel, comfortable but dated decor but perfect in keeping with the castle theme, a very big castle/hotel with over 800 rooms over 5 floors, everything you could want including full size swimming pool, great entertainment, great food.
Real value for money
It is too far away from any attractions unless you drive which means you can't enjoy a drink because one of you will have to drive back the location was bad
This hotel has it all, the staff are fantastic, food was brilliant, entertainment was fabulous, I would recommend this hotel to anyone, will be going again!!
Really nice quiet location. Tram stop opposite the hotel which takes you to the centre. Brilliant price.
Hotel was really hot making it slightly uncomfortable at times
I thoroughly enjoyed my stay n so did my son. We would go there again.
windows wouldnt close nets were dirty no curtains on bathroom stains on carpet and only 4 channels on tv not 4 star
Staff were friendly
Got even a room with no window Room had other people's rubbish in it Change rooms still not much better Brackfast que was out of the door so didn't bother 50 people plus
The stay was nice the staff was lovely
The rooms what we had were not close together my daughter was at one end we were at the other
the staff very helpful and the breakfast very good vale for money
tv very old and basic only 3 channels working
Location, staff, price
TV in room only had channels 1,2,3&4. As two older ladies we would have appreciated Freeview as we were in bed before evening entertainment started. Apart from that everything was fine.
Excellent venue for the price ,breakfast and evening meals can't be beaten for quality, the leisure pool and its saunas etc were good and will be used more on our next visit , evening entertainment was good .
Spa bath in room, looks really nice from outside, the indoor pool and the helpful staff.
Inside needs renovating (still got old style tv's with hardly any channels), asked for sea view room when booking and didn't get one and people should note tho hotel is a fair bit away from the tower and other main attractions.
On check in, we were given a sea view room at no extra cost. Pleasant young man on reception, checked us in. Pool available if u fancy a swim. Entertainment good. Breakfast nice.
Rooms a bit hot. Entertainment a bit late .
We have stayed here a few times and as been a pleasure to came back the rooms were very clean and comfortable beds
The room that we were in was very dirty undated and not very fresh the bed was very uncomfortable didt sleep well
The area was nice did not need car just jumped on tram or buses. Hotel very spacious and room very nice.
Did not like being able to get late meal as arrived at 8.30pm. Got held up on motorway took 4hrs instead of 2hrs. we had booked lunch but told to late for resterant. Could to with extra food bar that will serve late snacks.
the food was lovely and plenty of choice. The dishes were replenished quickly..On the weekend we stayed the hotel was very busy as pool tournament on but the staff were always pleasant and helpful I would recommend this hotel.
room was too hot but we were able to open the windows. at start of bingo music was still playing and bar staff were noisy -this resulted in a player sitting at next table who shouted house loudly but lost prize money of £93
Really good food and helpful staff, the price was right. So good that we booked an extra night.
Quite hot in the rooms.
friendliness of staff and other guests. quiet location next to bus and tram stops good value for money lovely comfy beds
too far from centre of town and train station looks dated and shabby needs good lick of paint
Staff were very friendly and helpful. Lovely quiet location with transport right outside the hotel. Breakfast was very well cooked and plentiful. Bed very comfortable. Room very clean and excellent size.
Entertainment was very outdated. Central heating in room didn't work until the morning we were leaving (as we were only staying two nights did not complain to staff). Decor could do with updating. At busy times meals were a bit haphazard.
Very small window in room. Could have done with choice of egg at breakfast, not everyone likes scrambled egg!
Not nice walking through dining area with luggage while people are eating, room was too hot even with window open and rad turned off for two days. Paid for sea view but windows so dirty you could barely see through them and pond full of rubbish floating in it spoilt what view there was
The lay out of the building and plenty of space in room jacuzzi was absolutely brilliant ....first time at hotel nd was really gud plenty to do eg ..gym ..cinema..pool we had a lovely weekend nd wud recommend this hotel to the public. ..
