The room was cold, bed was too hard, shower was only luke warm, carpet full of stains, window very draughty so could hear the wind blowing all night. Also other guests were very noisy, doors slamming etc. Would not recommend staying there.
Reception staff nice and pleasant
Bedroom, bathroom, no telephone in room or fridge, breakfast rubbish, wallpaper peeling off walls, my 9 year old daughter says it is a dump!
Rather tired rooms
The beds And bathroom were clean
One of the Windows let in the rain so the end of the bed was damp pipes rattled all night
Good price and comfortable stay. Unable to comment on food as we're room only. Wifi available in reception area but as our room was at the rear of the hotel we were unable to connect. We also had an adjoining room which wasn't ideal as our neighbours were noisy until late so didn't get much sleep. The hotel itself was ok and worth the money for a one night stay.
Evening meal nice and happy hour in 1 bar until 7pm
Breakfast and the entertainment was the worse ever
everything the staff the room room breakfast great choice
main lounge drunk people swearing in front of children jacks bar very nice n cosy but cold
the jaccuzi and food
the bed the view at the back and noise
food was really nice
small room with dated furniture
twin room size, clean and fair food
the staff could of been a bit more attentive, they did not give a lot of info just room number and where and when food was. So got a little confused when needing a drink as signs said bar was only open after 7 but according to staff on last night they open from 3
Everything . love the place:-D
Bit chilly in conservatory
Breakfast was very good
Absolutely freezing with no comment from Staff to what was happening. No hot water from Friday to Sunday in Room unable to take shower and had to put kettle onto have a warm wash.
I liked the food, the entertainment and the accommodation. I thought all these three were excellent. The location was well served by a very good tram network.
The hot water in our room was very cold. The venue for the entertainment on the first evening of our stay was very cold.
The charm of the hotel, an old fashioned venue that has been well preserved and was clean and tidy.
The entertainment on the Friday was held in the conservatory which was freezing due to a heating fault.
Reception lady and my room was huge..dident expect that..it was a family room...beer wasent to expensive...
The copper jacks was frezzing...and the bar lady was extreamly rude....entertainment was poor..no where to sit in the ballroom all seats taken
The heating had been off for 36 hrs. We were not informed when we arrived or we would have moved on. Hotel old and dirty needs refurbishement. Not much food available when we arrived.
Room was very dirty cob webs all over the ceiling. Bird poo all over the window. In need of a desperate clean and update very very old fasioned
Stayed at the Norbreck castle many times, but unfortunately was very diss appointed this time as we had no hot water all weekend and no heating in entertainment area making the whole weekend a diss appointment. Have emailed the management but havnt as yet had a curtesy reply even
The entertainment was good on Saturday night .
Where are room was situated. The cost of the drinks. Coffee in restraunt was always cold.
Very friendly staff
Very old fashioned, front entrance needed a good clean
The hotel was filthy, the rooms were filthy and out dated. The carpet had at least 3inches of dust on it. The hot water in the bathroom was non existent. The noise during the night was horrendous coming from the drunk guests and this continued throughout the night and into the next morning at breakfast. The food was terrible, we paid for breakfast both mornings we were there but only went the first morning and didn't eat anything!!! Overall this stay was horrendous and I would advise anyone to stay clear!!!!! :
Hotel was dirty
Bed was comfy n linen clean
Condition of room. Dropping tap. Window nailed shut. Hot room. Old furnishings.
The staff are great any problems they try 2 sort it out as soon as possible
Room was freezing and bathroom even colder with no heating. Curtains and carpet dirty.
