From walking in the door to be met by someone who did not make eye contact or speak politely to us to the scramble and cue for breakfast we have stayed in a lot of hotels up and down the country but never had to cue for food, then to be told bacon would be 5 mintues no toast and when I asked for coffee you young man said he did not do coffee and just walked away on the second morning people had to cue for about 10 minutes for milk for cerial thats bad it was the first time we have stayed with you and it will be the last we stay, we have stayed many times at the Metrople and never had treatment like that, very disoppointed Staff cue for food and lack of it kids running wild and running round the bar area cold in the main room area and why do you have a happy hour at the bar in the afternoon when most people are out why not have it at night time for an hour thinks were that bad people from outside could have just walk in and had a meal you would not have a clue who was who plus side cleaning staff bedroom, very good

The hotel is situated by the beautiful beach between Blackpool and Fleetwood. Quiet expencive and we had a very small room were we had to make sure only one person was moving round the room at any one time. We had asked for single beds but didn't get that. The double bed in the room was too big for the room. The hotel in itself is gigantic and this resulted in long queues (15 mins wait) of people waiting to be sited and served at breakfast

Buffet Breakfast Had to wait over 30 mins to check in and the staff kept going off to attend to other customers and answer the phone. Room - dirty bedding, bed not made, curtains hanging off the rail, moss on the window frames, window would not shut, bunk bed very unsafe, toilet seat loose, handle on bath loose, stained ceilings and carpets, overall the hotel and rooms need a good overhaul and some money spening on it, would not reccommend to any-one.

I felt the hotel interior was a little dated however with some serious investment it could be a flagship venue in the northwest. Food was good and £2 a drink before 7pm is a good deal. Shame it didnt have a 24hr bar though. It is blackpool after all

It's a dated, badly designed excuse for a hotel. It's most resembles a run-down Pontins/Butlins. It was far top expensive for the state of it's decor, cleanliness and above all poor customer service.

i liked the fact that we did not have to go out for entertainment, you could allow your children to go do thier own thing and you now they would be ok. i didnt like the condition some of the rooms were in, i think it desperatly needs an update. i didnt like the fact that you had to have a dinner with every evening meal we had, it would of been nice to of been able to of had chips, instead of potatoes and veg every night.

Good buffet breakfast, tram stop right out the front...Very dated, but well priced. Shower only dribbled when it was turned on full, then told they will try and fix it for the next guest. Our room was right on top of the conservatry and the caberet shows didnt start til 10pm, so having a 2 year old with us we didnt get much sleep with the loud music, walls are very thin you can hear everything your neighbours are doing.

Stayed in this hotel due to my daughter dancing in a competition been held there - so location was perfect. Evening entertainment was good. Breakfast was ok The rooms are dated - we were at the back in a small room with a small window - not that the view was worth a window - (carpark) The decor is old and looks grubby and furnishings need a revamp The bathroom was dirty and didn't smell great. Over all not what I would expect for the price charged!

Breakfast Venue has gone downhill since I last stayed a long time ago. I had to ask several times on the Saturday for towels as staff hadnt left any after clearning the room, in the end my partner had to go for them. I felt I was in a canteen for our evening meal rather than a restaurant

Dirty room, changed, not fit for purpose. Grossly overpriced for service/standards. Service appalling. Obviously used to lots of complaints. Worthy of £20/£25 a night and not a penny more. Britannia just don't care. Appalling!!!!!!
