The bar area was ok but really cold
Room was falling apart, it was horrible
No colour in tv, bed was like lying on floor, had to climb over bed to get to bathroom, could hear the people in each room beside us
staff were very nice
the building inside looked tired and in need of refurbishment. first impression going through revolving door area is that the hotel was very grubby but was cleaner once inside reception
The staff were friendly the rooms were basic but clean the entertainment was ok the food was very good
The hotel was so cold we had to wear coats while watching the entertainment and the room was the same
good location and good bedrooms and showers but needs modernizing
I wasnt impressed with this hotel at all. poor service from staff at breakfast, they didnt escort us to our and the food wasnt labelled (which is by law for buffet or carvery food!!!). They were too much noise from fellow residence that sounded quite loud and aggressive(on the 5th floor) at 3am and struggled to get back to sleep when we have a half marathon run the following morning. A very disappointing stay
Everything like pontins for pensioners. My baby had to sleep with hat an coat on in his pram and hands were freezing was awful checked out after 1st night having slept for an hour exhausted and cold whole place needs updating new windows and painting we only booked for swimming pool and it is closed for next couple of months staff were unhelpful and unapologetic told me to check a tablet for other hotels (I haven't got one) no offer to move rooms no suggestions no refund just a over worked uninterested girl on reception obviously not trained in hospitality.
Wifi connection was rubbish, television didnt work, had no channels, just wasnt modern
room window left open before occupation, so room was cold and due to heating not coming on till about seven the room was very cold for most of the night. caber-ay venue was also very cold.
We have stayed at this hotel several times. We were actually there to book our daughters wedding for next year. The staff member was excellent, he took us around the hotel and answered all our questions. He was very helpful and because if thie e can look forward to our daughters wedding in the norbrek castle next year.
The evening entertainment and copper face jacks bar
Some area of the hotel quite cold and silverfish in the bathroom
Breakfast was ok and plentiful
Spa closed after booking.com advised us that it was open No hot water all day Saturday. Limited facilities even though it was half term and the hotel was very busy. People smoking in their rooms Hotel generally very tired
The bed was ok and that was about it
This place needs a total revamp and bringing into 2015. The furniture in the room needs setting alight it served no purpose at all as it was all broken. Very very disappointing place as it doesn't look to bad from outside but don't be fooled.
Not much due to the time of year.simply was just a bed for the night
Has i have said it is very dated the bedrooms are ok but again everything just needs freshening up bring up to this century.
Put us in a family room with double bed and single and a bathroom without a bath, got nothing what we asked for really
The room was spacious enough for two adults and two kids
Smelt of cigarette smoke especially in the toilet. Walls very thin next door could be heard quite clearly. It sounded like they were in our room. The leisure facilities were shut. And one of my kids found a used ear plug on the floor.
The smell of smoke in the corridors
It was good in general
The sea view
As stated above, my dad is 65. He found the tom really cold and the heating in the bathroom did not work. Also, one of the bar staff tried to short change him. When he turned back to explain this to her, she automatically put the pound back into his hand. She knew what she had done. For these reasons, my dad said he would not go back. This upset me as it was a gift and I wanted him to have a good time.
The staff were friendly and helpful. Rooms comfortable and warm. Good no frills accommodation. good showers and plenty of hot water. great value for money
Quite noisy and floorboards creaked a lot. poor wifi connection.
How cheap the hotel was with breakfast the next morning
How far it was from the main town, the outside didn't look anything like the photos, the rooms were tiny and was not the cleanest
Stopped at the norbeck for two nights when i ran the great north west half marathon lovely comfortable stay staff friendly room great
I was on my own but I felt Safe and comfortable. Room very comfortable and breakfast
When I made my booking on the same day as I was travelling, I specifically said I was disabled, I was put on the 4th floor.
Bedding crisp, white & clean, shower excellent, entertainment good, drinks reasonable, lots of things to do. Excellent value for money. Free parking & tram stop right outside.
Bingo was very expensive & overly complicated - took the fun out of it. Pool closed for renovation.
plenty to do with plenty of parking and a good breakfast
the acts at night and a grumpy receptionist when we arrived
