Breakfast , tram stop right outside hotel , warm inside ,
The room , facilities in the room I:E the shower was awful , the position of the television unwatchable , not a lot for the young , overall I dont think it was worth what we paid for the two night stay .
every thing was ok. We had a nice room sea view. We had disabled person with us and nothing was to much trouble for the staff to sort out for him. I would stay again. Easy to get from the hotel to and use the trams with electric scooter.
it does need a some work doing to it has its looking a little shabby now.
Great location, did`nt have to use the car as tram & bus stops right outside the hotel. Lovely breakfast The evening caberet entertainment was very good ,with songs from the shows. Overall had a nice couple of days at an unbeatable price.
hotel could do with some TLC,the plumbing in room 462 was very noisy at times. The hotel entrance carpets could do with renewing or a good clean as 1st impressions when entering were not too good
Room to small and stuffy
The hotel in parts does require a little LTC, but overall our stay here was great. The staff at all times were on hand to deal with any queries, the maid was first class. The gym facilities were great, along with access to public transport. All in all our stay was great, will stay here again.
My only dislike was the sound of the plumbing, which at times could be quite loud, this mostly occurred in the mornings.
Check in was quick. Rooms were clean and warm
That the room was entered during our stay even tho I did not hang the request to be cleaned on door
Although it is in need of upgrading, the room was clean, the staff very friendly, food very good, and I would definitely stay there again next time I go to Blackpool.
The bedrooms were very nice clean and warm.Lots of hot water.
The 79 miles per hour gales didn't help with the heating situation in pub lic areas Being disabled I found it very difficult to keep warm, I do understand it was a problem beyond your control but I think some form of heating should have been available. I did not like the buffet dining at dinner I appreciate waiter service..
Good food, great facilities, really helpful staff, tram right outside the door
The weather was not great on our stay indoor pool also closed due to height winds but do understand safety first
Everything in the hotel was brilliant really including the breakfast buffet included free!
Spindles staff which owned the swimming pool and gym are rude and not prepared for the job at hand. The resort is a bit out of fashion! Paint work etc...
I only booked for 2 nights
The room was dated and dirty, the 1980's wallpaper was peeling off and the worn out carpet was lifting up in places. The bathroom was disgusting, with dirt stained into the grout on the tiles, some of the grout was non existent in places. There was lime scale on all of the taps and plug holes on the sink and bath. We only had breakfast the first morning then ate out all the rest of the meals as the food was bland and greasy!!!!
The hotel is great value for money, the rooms are old looking and basic but you get what you pay for. The breakfast is good.
Hotel describes having televisions in rooms, yeah they might do but when they're 1000 years old you can't access any channels since the switch over. That's like advertising having a car park but then not being allowed to park in it?! Wifi in rooms isn't available.
Breakfast was very bad.
Breakfast excellent, liked room situation, bus and tram stop outside,
Display cabinets need some imagination.
Plenty hot water in shower
Room to close to Hotel generators, loud humming noise all night.very small room for a Double, bed passes door frame, bathroom very dated
The view from the room. We paid extra for this and it was worth it. Good service in the snack bar and restaurant, although queues at breakfast. I think the staff worked very hard to cope with the volume of guests.
We thought access into the town would be good but didn't bargain for the buses stopping running due to the queues of cars through the lights and a tram breaking down, so had a long walk (twice) the 2.6 miles into Blackpool! We were lucky we were lucky to be able do this.
Musty smell in corridors Guests have to pay to go swimming Average breakfast
Good value for money
Big pipe going through room was banging at night. Noisy guests, it felt like they were in the room with us. Mattress was hard. Decor dated and depressing. Poor nights sleep. Food was I suppose ok for money spent but dining room felt like a cheap care home/ school. I would not stay here again.
staff all very friendly great place good food
could do with proper coffee & tea machines in the restaurant as the tea and coffee are not very good
Ease of booking in.
Long queues for breakfast. Very poor decor all round including furniture. ( outdated or broken ) Entertainment was poor Was not advised about hotel or local amenities Television was incredibly old and only had 4 terrestrial channels. Lack of electrical outlets in room. Bathroom lacked ventilation and smelt damp. Room warm bed and pillows very hard.
Long queues at breakfast.
the feel of the hotel been to this hotel a few times and loved it but very dissapointed this time
room dreadful really really dirty , other peoples hairs in the bed rubish under the bed , mold in bathroom , dirty toilet, bath sink and inch thick dust around bed legs and on lamp all in all not an enjoyable stay
Staff couldn't do enough to help. Fantastic break. Food fantastic and plenty full. Nothing we didn't like. Already booked our next stay :)
Having to book out!
Location and atmosphere and good views of the sea Breakfast selection was varied and good choice Entertainment was very good
Guests not parking in allocated spaces causing difficulty reversing out of my parking space and having to wait for the guest at the side of myself who was parked properly to move so i could get my car out Also in case of emergency this could be hazardous for fire engines etc
Family Room was located on first floor via lift however, then through 8 fire doors and 13 steps! Not brilliant with luggage, a baby in a pram and a 3 yr old! Staff wrongly sent us to the other side of the hotel wing with the above twice before realising where our room actually was, also, hotel is quite a distance from the main area of Blackpool
