Score from 1450 reviews Very good
Family Room was located on first floor via lift however, then through 8 fire doors and 13 steps! Not brilliant with luggage, a baby in a pram and a 3 yr old! Staff wrongly sent us to the other side of the hotel wing with the above twice before realising where our room actually was, also, hotel is quite a distance from the main area of Blackpool
reception staff were friendly
carpets and furnishings worn and dirty ,the chair in our bedroom looked filthy, paintwork in bedrooms is yellow with age , wallpaper in bathroom stained and looked old , needs a good clean and refurb :(
We were made to feel welcome in the Hotel, The staff were friendly and courteous especially in the Dining room. The food was very nice, we have only had breakfast before, so we booked for the 3 course evening dinner and so glad we did, it was delicious. :)
We felt the Hotel could do with a fresh lick of paint and new carpets, just to brighten it up a bit as the decor looked very tired and dated.
rooms were clean, food was great and good choice, staff were very friendly. Tram stop just across the road to go to Blackpool or Fleetwood.
room was too hot,i know thats unusual for blackpool, but it was quite uncomfortable at times, and had to que for meals and breakfast.
Breakfast was good.
The hotel rooms are very dated which I can cope with but the cleanliness was very poor. Tops of units and TV covered in dust and bathroom was filthy! Beds were half made with sheets hanging off bed. Wouldn't stay again due to poor cleanliness.
views food was ok
room was small very large hotel
Good location, with reaonable prices
The room was very dated with old furniture.
Every thing is good
TV has not move with time
On arrival and despite being busy the staff were really helpful and polite. The food at breakfast was excellent and again the staff very helpful and friendly.
The room (368) needs a bit of updating. The wardrobe and cabinets are a bit old fashioned.
Large car park. Rooms acceptable but in need of re-decorating. Breakfast good but unacceptable wait.
Generally needs 'tyding up'-outside signs broken, threadbare stair carpets, yellowing paintwork. Too much of a queue at breakfast-if we were informed about this we would have eaten earlier.
The location is good, right by the sea and not too close to the attractions. The staff are excellent. The Spindles spa and pool is very good.
The building needs to have money spent on it, it could be a wonderful place to stay, the decoration is poor and old fashioned.
Breakfast despite queues
Cleanliness Tv only had 4 channels
The sea view from my room was amazing. The staff were helpful and polite at all times.
Felt that the toilets in the communal areas near the arcade were badly in need of deep cleaning/ and refurbishment. Overpowering smell. The hotel could do with upgrading. It was not as good as I gad been led to expect. Queueing for breakfast into a crammed dining room was a bit of a letdown.
Food was excellent. Decor outdated an furniture was a disgrace. Curtains had moth holes.
The cupboard which was supposed to be our bedroom was a total disappointment. The furniture was a disgrace and should have been binned a ling tome ago. Beirut would have been more comfortable.
Shower. Close to the tram stop. Parking
Was noisy at night children running up and down the hallway even though we had asked for a quiet room. Room was dated and run down. Says in facilities swimming pool but had to pay extra to use it
The nighttime entertainment was good
There was no window in our ground floor room. At night with the lights off it felt like yo were in your coffin
Plenty parking spaces.
Very small room with bed up against wall. Badly scratched/battered furniture. Bathroom door didn't close. Noise from air conditioning units outside was excessively loud, couldn't open windows it was so loud. Breakfast was like a cattle market. Could have been so much better organised. Maybe even introducing sittings, and when you check in you are told what sitting you are. Dreadful experience.
The staff were terrific and the entertainment was good. The bar was well staffed, with swift service considering how busy it was. Breakfast was very well managed, with lots of staff.
This has been a fabulous hotel in the past, but the fabric of the building now needs some real attention as it is rather tired. It was clean, with plenty of facilities, but no matter how good the cleaning is, when then decor/building is so tired it never looks great.
Bed was comfortable breakfast was nice.
People slaming doors early and late at nights, very noisey.
breakfast very nice
the tables weren't cleaned you couldn't find one they were all full off dirty plates and things you had to ask to get it cleaned
The breakfast was excellent plenty of choice one of the best I've had in a hotel ever
Bit far to wall into town
Breakfast was best thing about it
Run down and very tired paper coming of walls told we had lift to first floor but not told we had stairs to get to our small room and many moor things all in all worst hotel I have staid in.
Room was disgusting. No coat hangers to hang clothes in the wardrobe. Hotel needs renovating especially the rooms.
