The bar prices!!

Our room was awful, it had no window which we were not told about when we booked in, bearing in mind we had booked this hotel in January for a wedding in the hotel, if we had had time I would have asked for a different room, but the wedding was at one and we had to get changed, my cousins were also in the next three rooms without windows and shaver points in the bathroom, and even worse no mattress cover on the bed just a sheet straight onto the mattress. Very bad in this day and age.

The leisure facilities were good

The response from some of the staff when going for breakfast. Spoke by one or two of them to us like we were unwelcome...

Food was great - breakfast well cooked a lot of choice. Got a good deal so can not grumble!

Room was out dated- cheap. Too hot and pipe work not only ugly-not boxed in-but very noisy, when room above flushed chain or used water! Ask for an upgrade be worth it as rooms ok but small.

My room was supposed to be a non smoking room but it was definately not but the desk staff were very good and moved me

The spa was very enjoyable, breakfast was lovely. The hotel was fantastic value for money, location was great

The walls were thin so there was noise at around 7am from people watching tv or getting ready for breakfast

Entertainment kids loved its

Room was mouldy on walls when next room used any water it came up on drain on bath all you could here was the water noise every time flush was pulled in our bathroom did not even have shower or bath with children waited till gotmhome

I liked the room for it being a standard room,also the breakfast was first class,staff very efficient and pleasant.

The conservatory very cold at night,noticed a lot of people with jackets on.

This is a cheap and cheerful hotel. Unlike many local hotels it has a decent carpark. Its sports facilities are good with a large pool -unlike many hotels. Everything is reasonably acceptable. But people need to understand that it is a very big hotel catering for the volume market.

first night none of the electric lights in room were working , despite reporting it, the problem not resolved until following day, lucky we had brought a torch !! Overall Hotel decor showing signs of wear.

most of the staff were very good and friendly. the swimming pool was great the whirl pool was great . bar was not to bad

the carpet in room 19m was not on the cripper rods so when you went in it all rolled up and was an, accident waiting to happen the breakfast was very poor there was no fried eggs and on the third day we where told wen could ordser poached . I do not believe we could recommend the food at all very.

Not a lot! On the other hand the reception staff were very helpful also the table waiters.

The meals at dinner time were very poor, mostly beef minced or stewed. No potatoes and only peas and carrots. Good job we only stayed for three nights Breakfast were fair .

Food ok, considering the amount of people. But overall you get what you pay for.

Very shabby obviously needs a lot of money spent on redecoration. Window Cleaner needed urgently. Furniture was basic, and mostly broken.

we really enjoyed the entertainment, as we didnt av to leave the hotel, meals were really nice, everythink there for those who cant venture to far, would deffently stay here again.

Wifi only available in public areas on the ground floor, noisy room from the exposed pipework and being at the back no view!

Though out of town, its a quick ride on the tram from right outside the hotel @ £3.50 a day to use as many times you want. The buffet breakfast was filling & there bar is next door to watch football, with Happy hour each day until 7pm which sets you up for the night ahead & the £2.20 lager was great. The rooms were well maintained & cleaned & it had a great power shower with unlimited hot water. For the price, it was more than we expected from the place. Entertainment looked good too, with a cinema thru the day & shows/bingo on at night too.

There's not much to not like, though the bar prices were a little pricey for the location when not Happy Hour. The advert for leisure facility should be clearer that its £4 a visit. The car park could do with booking a road sweeper due to sections of it having broken glass on it.
