From the off we felt welcomed into this beautiful guest house by Adam & Paula. Their friendly but non-intrusive nature meant that we could relax and fully enjoy our stay. They gave great advise on local attractions that suited our requirements! Breakfast is excellent.

Our room had the best views over the stunning North Devon coastline of Ilfracombe. The welcome by Adam and Paula was first class and the breakfast quality and choice were excellent. Comfy bed and well appointed room.

Car parking rather tight, up the slope so best to park down in the road.

The accommodation was beautiful, the couple are lovely explaining nearby sites and restaurants. We actually felt like their guest to moment we got there. The honesty bar is brilliant with the advantage of enjoying a drink either outside, in the sitting room or in our room.

We couldn't fault this guest house! Would definitely recommend!

Service was excellent. Adam & Paula were very helpful giving us information on places to visit & where to eat. Adam provided excellent breakfasts & was a wonderful host. Bovril was a friend for life after a biscuit! The views were excellent & easy access to the harbour and shopping area. Would recommend.

Would have preferred to have a bath with shower and maybe a small fridge in the room.

We liked the warm welcome and advice on where to eat. We loved the views and overall charm of the hotel. the breakfast was excellent and plentiful.

Our room was dark and very small. the decor was poor and the bathroom could definitely do with an update.

Norbury house is in a great location in the beautiful town of Ilfracombe, you can walk into the town from the house in just a few minutes. Upon arrival we were warmly welcomed by Paula and Bovril the black Labrador. We sat in the lounge and were provided with tea and biscuits whilst Paula told us about the area and gave us a map with recommended restaurants and bars to try. She booked us into 'The Quay' where we had a fantastic meal that was reasonably priced. We stayed in room 8 at the top of the house which was very comfortable with good facilities and lovely views. We walked along the costal path (at the back of the house) to the small village of Lee which was very picturesque, we went to a small pub and had a light lunch which was also very pleasant. The location is great for people wanting to visit other areas such as Woolacombe and Croyde, we traveled to Croyde by car and it took about 10-15 minutes. We had a fantastic stay at Norbury house and Paula couldn't do enough for us, she also cooks a delicious breakfast! As a young couple we felt so comfortable and we had the perfect weekend away. I would highly recommend staying here and we will stay again!

We stayed at the Norbury House for two nights (16-17 August 2013) and would absolutely recommend it to family and friends. Adam and Paula were extremely friendly and wonderful hosts. They were both so personable and couldn’t do enough for us. The breakfast was amazing (thanks Paula) and there was a good variety to choose from. The decor was stylish and the rooms very clean and comfortable. The hotel is well located and has great views of the sea. Perfect, we will be visiting again.

Superb friendly owners and Breakfast was great

Decor throughout very poor standard and in rooms although clean and new it has obviously been done by DIY and not a professional!
