Location was excellent. Never got to see the inside of the hotel really as we were housed in the courtyard overlooking the car park. Dining room was nice where we had breakfast. Staff were very pleasant. Cleanliness of the room and the atrocious linen on the double bed! Nothing fitted.

Brilliant location and breakfast. The kings arms opposite is a fine pub. Only problem is that the town does not have pub with sky sports.

Right on the High Street, easy walking distance to the beautiful Castle, many different shops (not typical High Street). Excellent choice of restaurrants, cafes' and pubs.Lovely scenery.Very friendly helpful people. We would definitely visit again as two nights stay was not long enough. We a had a very spacious room with a view of the high street and surrounding countryside. Breakfast was excellent. Should have checked if there was a lift as there were 55 stairs to our room, however, reception staff were happy to carry our cases up on arrival. Evening dinner was rather expensive and rather pretensious food. However, staff very pleasant.

The staff were very helpful, asked the reception for a Iron and came straight away, very friendly and helpful. I was realy surprised by the Norfolk arms hotel, it looked lovely from the outside but inside well, it looked like a throw back from the 70s but a lot more tatty, It could realy do this with a make over, £87 for one night in an annex was pretty poor. Arundal is such a wonderful place and the castle is somthing to be seen, one of the best in UK. shame the hotel let us downThe bathroom had brown tiles all over that reminded me of my grans house. (not good) the reception area stunk of cigerett smoke !!!! and realy needed a coat of paint and some new carpet. The hotel could and should be lovely as befitting such a wonderful setting, lets Aundal down. worst of all was the cooked breakfast which was burnt !!!!!!! The tea was stewed, should have complained, but we were in a hurry to go !!!!!

Breakfast.! I was expecting to stay in the old Hotel, that is why i booked your hotel, because it was old and had lots of history. Other hotels were cheaper but i wanted somewhere old and steeped in history.Instead we were put into a modern extention in the car park! Anyway it could have been worse i thought. I have a young son, so we settled down by 10pm. At 12 loads of old biddies arrived and were talking and laughing very loudly, so we woke. At three the old man in the room above went for a pee and woke us again...then to top it all off, He got up at 5pm and put his telly on and went on to make all sorts of loud noises until 8am, airport run no doubt. We were exhausted the first day. Im not sure whether i would recommend this hotel.

Close proximity to the castle, ample free parking and central location. Continental breakfast was very limited in choices. Our friends had a very disturbed nights sleep due to night porter moving furniture until the early hours of the morning. Hotel were not happy changing our booking to an alternative date as we had pre booked with non-refundable cancellation deal - we were not cancelling but making an alternative booking - this was not made clear when we booked.

Small, friendly and unique. The building had character and was interesting to walk around in it's own right. The staff were friendly and flexible. It was a relaxing place to be. I will be returning in the summer! The heating was an all or nothing deal. If it was on, the room was baking, if it was off the room was freezing (stayed in December). There should have been some more obvious temperature control. Also, the bath didn't look like it had been properly cleaned. This may be more due to the baths age?

The Norfolk Arms is in a fantastic location, which is the main reason we booked it. It's a beautiful building with lovely dining rooms, but could be so much nicer! For the location of the hotel it's in need of a complete makeover, very dated. For where it is it could be a lot nicer!

Private parking facilities. The hotel accommodated my dog who was made very welcome. Good countryside walks and historic town. The hotel is looking rather tired and could do with a face-lift.

The accommodation was clean and comfortable. Breakfast was freshly cooked. Overall excellent value for money. Like many hotels of this age some of the decor is looking tired however this is reflected in the price and therefore no grumbles. The location in the town center is great with ample free parking.

Loved the architecture and the location in the heart of Arundel in the shadow of the castle. The off-street parking was great too! Some veggie sausages at breakfast time would have been great!
