Excellent location, close to Paddington and underground. Nice sized room and bathroom. You really can hear people moving around in the room above. Very poor sound insulation and the vibrating floor made my light casement rattle.

Booked at very short notice, less than 30 minutes before check-in. Then had room upgraded upon arrival at no extra cost. Hotel very close to underground station and therefore could get to meetings quickly and to see sights of London.

The location was perfect since it is near Paddington Station, and the bus line is just a block away. We have stayed in the exact area before at a different hotel, and I can say that the Norfolk Plaza was somewhat better than the previous place. The front desk staff were very, very pleasant, and helpful when we asked for directions or suggestions. The price was very reasonable. Breakfast was sufficient and the breakfast room is pleasant and clean. Having an elevator is a plus. Too small for our standards, and difficult for two people to move around in the room. The safe in our room didn't work, the tv was very, very small, the floor creaked when we walked. There were too few toiletries.

Convenient for Paddoington station. Good size room for price. Basic but quite adequate for short stay. Very old and small TV in room - needs upgrading to compete woth other hotels even in this price bracket. Bathroom decoration old and in need of updating - clean but detoriorating grouting, sealant etc, doesn't look good.

free wifi was a treat. did not expect to find this. most London hotels have a charge. breakfast was on a special discount, hotel is friendly enough but it is an old dated building . we got the room for a good price so I was not expecting anything fancy. it was clean and served the purpose. Location is great if staying in Paddington Sq area. elevator was out when we checked out and we were on the 3rd floor. carrying bags down narrow stairway was inconvenient. Hotel did not have extra pillows we are allergic to feathers and the 2 little pillows extra in the room were old and almost flat. Hotel needs to update their bedspreads and pillows.

The position of the hotel was perfect for travelling into the heart of the city and visting the popular tourist attractions The room which we occupied was in urgent need of refurbishment. The main curtains plus the net curtains were very old and marked with paint, the window fixtures were broken, the bedroom fittings and furniture were old and tired looking. The bed linen had been restitched in places and was frayed. The most disappointing was the bathroom. The bathroom fittings were old and outdated, the sink bath and tiles were cracked.no air vent. The bathroom was extremely cramped. You had to dry yourself in the bath as there was not anywhere else to go.The toilet and sink were as close together as a desk and chair.

The location is excellent for the train station. The staff are very helpful. My room was a little shabby this time. I was very surprised as over the many times I have stayed here both alone, with my family and with a friend I have always been absolutely delighted with the decor etc.

Loved that my room was a 'suite' which contained its own living-room with tv etc and that there was an upstairs within the suite containing the beds and bathroom with another tv. Really good.

Excellent location, room was clean and well kept but it's old. Squeaky floors all the way. Walls are thin so expect to know your neighbour is using the bathroom etc..... But for the price I paid by London standards it was great. The staff have a I know it all attitude which is very annoying.

The best part about this hotel was location. 2 minutes walk from Paddington Station/Tube. Excellent transport links. Bathroom was far too small - anyone large/overweight should not stay here as you cannot fit between the gap between the shower/bath and wall (where the toilet is located!) Creaky floorboards upstairs kept us up all night whenever someone walked on them.

The location- very close to Paddington and Hyde Park, and in a pretty spot by gardens. Also the room was very clean and the bed comfy. As it is an old building, the floors were very creaky and you could hear other guests and staff walking about. The cleaners were very noisy in the morning talking loudly and creaking the floor boards as they walked about doing their job. Check out was 11 but the cleaners knocked on our door at 9.30 which was annoying.
