Location. Easy to get around town on transport. Excellent breakfast.
staff, cleanliness, good room size
tv reception, room too hot - had to sleep with window open in Dec.
the stuff was very friendly and helpful, the location is very good, close to underground, the area has many pubs and small shops. The square is very nice.
The furniture needs replacement.
Very happy with the location, as was travelling from Paddington. The reception staff were very good and couldn't have been more helpful to us. The rooms were clean and tidy, and the beds were nice and comfy. The hotel was also nice and warm, which is lovely when you've been out in the cold all day!
Bedroom= Walls could do with a new coat of paint and the TVs could be updated, as they are a bit too old. Staff= All staff we spoke to were polite and friendly. The cleaning staff were talking too loudly in the corridor when it was still too early though. Reception= The reception was organised and tidy. The sofas in the waiting area/lounge need to be re-upholstered or changed for new ones, as they are big holes all over them.
Location and great VFM through Booking.com.
The bed was ridiculously firm and like sleeping on a plank of wood.
I was upgraded to a suite which gave me lots of space. Bed was comfy, water was hot, and there was a fan to improve the ventilation. Above all it was one of the most quiet nights I have ever spent in London. The hotel overlooks a leafy square with only very light traffic crawling along to access other hotels etc. Wifi in my room worked perfectly. Breakfast was more than adequate and staff pleasant.
The standard of furnishings is very basic with cheap furniture, carpets threadbare and stained in places. But to get a quiet suite in central London for £85 was terrific value, and I don't need immaculate carpets and swanky furniture to be comfortable.
The reception staff were friendly and helpful.
Bed was too hard and the heating was not working in my room
staff tried to help its in an ideal location
breakfast was foul and returned the tv in my room was not working the rooms was not very clean and was so small it was unbelievable.
Convenience of being near Paddington Station. Room adequate for one night.
Housekeeping staff appeared unaware that I had the room until 11am and knocked on two separate occasions before I left the room.
no wi fi in room.
location, lift ,washroom and wifi
tv channels, no fridge
The staff are very helpful and courteous. The room 101 was quiet and comfortable but slightly jaded. For £85 per night for a double room for one person it is excellent value. As single older female I felt very safe and secure
- Good location - Friendly staff - Cleanliness
- Smelly bathroom - Dated hotel
Excellent location for Paddington station yet in a quiet tree-lined street. Good breakfast with a variety of price choices.
Furnishings a little jaded but overall a comfortable room.
Staff, location, quiet hotel
breakfast in the basemant, no window
Location good. Reception area and building nice. Breakfast was good value and served in nice clean and nicely decorated room.
Room was dated, bathroom was horrible. Plastic sheet on bed bit odd too!
Very close to Paddington station. Helpful staff.
Room was very noisy. Our room looked on the back alley, where an aggregator was making noises all night. Beds were very soft.
Its proximity to Paddington station with its easy connection to Heathrow Airport.
We had difficulty finding our room because of the number of passages and stairs. The TVs didn't provide all channels.
The location was brilliant!
The room was shabby, the beds were uncomfortable and there was a loud humming noise coming from the ceiling throughout the night. The locks on the doors of both rooms were very weak and difficult to open or close. On our first evening as we were leaving a member of staff just opened the door of the room and looked startled to see us. He advised us that he was checking that all the doors were locked as there were a number of burglarys in the recent weeks. This made us very uneasy. Firstly as he never knocked and just opened our door and secondly that there were burglarys and the locks were so bad on the doors. The room was very expensive even by London standards for such a basic and shabby standard. There were no safety deposit boxes in the rooms.
Location is good and quite convenient to move around in London.
The floor squeaks whenever you walk in the room. I could hear the squeaking from next door room. It became quite irritating especially when late in the night
Location to food outlets and airport train, and usage of computer printing services and wifi.
Very noisy floor boards, leaking water on bed and breakfast staff poorly trained.
Handy location for train travellers, having a lift was good and breakfast was included even though it wasn't originally in the room deal.
A little in need of refurbishing but beds were very comfortable.
Staff ok. Location: excellent. I really enjoined the stay
Need a bit more refurbish
Great value, and very friendly helpful staff
