I thought the room was of a very high standard, clean with quality products. Breakfast was good on the Saturday morning, but Sunday some of food was getting cold. Excellent location for shops and easy access to beach front. The only bug bear was having to pay £12 a day for parking - I really think at the rates hotel charges they should include parking for free for their guests. I think charging is very cheeky.

This hotel is situated superbly for access to the shopping centre and the beautiful gardens as well as to some excellent eating establishments for this box and the one below does not allow for any amendments to text _therefore I am terminating this response. Very ANNOYING!guests wanting a change of "culinary scenery" Our bedroom was situated over the garage access on the floor below us. As a result the evening and late into the night as well as early morning was broken fairly constantly by the mechanical door gear operating the shutters open and closed. And r

The room and breakfast were both excellent. Lovely big comfortable bed, nicely furnished and spotless room, including bathroom. Molton Brown added a touch of luxury. The breakfast was well organised, well staffed, plentiful with lots of variety and very tasty. Parking is not easy. Although there is an underground car park, which I pre-paid at booking, it was full (as was the hotel). We found a public car park just down the road which was cheaper though not as convenient or secure. Be careful on the way out too - I scraped an alloy on the exit gate (it has some sharp brackets at wheel height!).

Warm friendly hotel. Excellent staff. Everything one would expect from a 4 star hotel. We were pleased to note that parking charges had been waived for the New Year break presumably because room rates were much higher for this period. Over all no complaints at all. The hotel no longer had a table tennis room, which on previous holidays we and other guests has used a great deal.

Will be teturning next year for for little break before Christmas, might stay in one of front rooms with balcony. No complaints. Only thing I would say is when night bar is not staffed move your drinks as we winessed some one help themselves to bottle and drink out of it and put it back,

The staff were helpful and friendly and the pool was nice and warm... And empty. The breakfast was well balanced with plenty to choose from. The kitchen stocked gluten free bread, which they offered to us (we didn't have to ask) which was great for my daughter who has Coeliac Disease. The bar menu had a lot of choice and the price of the children's meals made it affordable to eat at the hotel. Good location for the town centre, although it would have been a fair walk to the beach.

Very comfortable rooms. Nice feel to the place as it's obviously quite old. We didn't eat there as we were eating out but the restaurant looked very nice and the menu seemed fairly good. Creaking floorboards everywhere. When I say creaking, I mean almost off the decibel scale. Anyone walking along the corridor woke me up!

It was suitable for our one night stay but I would not have liked a much lomger break. The room was clean and well presented but very dark. To read we needed the lights on during the day. It was quite warm as well so we had the window open overnight and it was rather a noisy location.

The hotel room looked good on arrival and there was lots of space Breakfast was not as good as expected, there was no sign of a contintental breakfast at nine oclock on the first morning even though breakfast was to be served until 10am. The waitress in charge on this morning also tried to get guests to sit in the bar area until a table became free, but she did not ask for room numbers so no one moved and everyone was seated as a table became free. The room was very warm at night and there was no air conditioning and the television was on its last legs and had a line across it which impaired viewing.

It was comfortable, grand but welcoming. It is situated very centrally which is fantastic. Breakfast was good and there was lots of it. Staff were very friendly and helpful. I really enjoyed using the sauna and steam room especially after my early morning run. I was with a group of people and I think I did really well with my room but others were disappointed with this I think was mainly to do with the small size of some of them. I was very satisfied with the hotel.

“Fantastic family friendly hotel with large rooms and lots of space. We had a large double room with two extra camp beds put in and still had space to swing a cat or two!! The swimming pool area is lovely and although children are only allowed at certain times it is still very family friendly. Breakfast is great and again it is family friendly, my children were very pleased to be allowed to choose their own breakfast! ” Agnes, Reading |
