Everything,my partner and I felt totally relaxed during our stay
The stakk were ectremely helpful - from reception to breakfast staff and domestic staff - all very cheerful and helpful. When we stayed, on one of our three nights a couple were having a very loud row almost all night on and off and guests knocked on their door to ask them to be quiet. The staff also tried to reason with the man concerned who was undoutedly the worse for the fact he couldn't cope with his drink. Eventually the woman packed her bags and left - I do hope she has done so permenantly for her sake. Anyway, the staff were very apologetic in the morning and they were as relieved as the guests that the man left that morning! Otherwise this was a very comfortable and relaxing stay in a very convenient hotel. We usually make use of the country club leisure facilities that guests can use nearby but this time we didn't have time - it is certainly a very nice facility.
Our room - No. 6, being on the ground floor over the car park was a little cool. It didn't bother us enough to ask to move but it could some. All other rooms we have had here have been very good.
We have just arrived home from a weekend away at the Norfolk Hotel. We met up as a family of eleven of us. We all thought the staff were caring and went out of their way to help us have a good time. The meal we all had in the evening at the hotel was good. The bedrooms were comfortable and clean, also the bathroom, with towels changed every day. Our family used the pool and said how lovely and warm the water was. We all had a great time there. We would defiantly book to stay there again.
It was a very cold weekend when we stayed, but I think the bedrooms could have been warmer, the long curtains blank out the radiators. My son had to ring reception during the night, because of some very rowdy people next door to him, but the managers did try to sort it out.
The food was very poor.
Rebecca on reception was excellent and dealt with all our enquiries efficiently
Room and bed very comfortable. Lovely old-style hotel with character.
Key cards into rooms a bit hit and miss. Both mine and my husbands didn't work at different times and had to be swapped which was irritating. Room service continental breakfast turned up with no butter and no plate although the staff were apologetic. It may have just been a one-off and didn't spoil our stay.
Great location, friendly and helpful staff , good facilities
Executive room had two beds pushed together, not even zipped !!! Scrambled eggs poor on breakfast. Room cold even with radiator turned right up
Helpfulness of staff.Very comfortable and spacious room.
executive room was lovely....big room good view and huge bathroom with Milton Brown toiletries. The girl on reception was really helpful and friendly.
water did not get very hot.
location and room
music on until 12 from wedding reception
Big comfy bed, Central location, lovely breakfast
everything about the hotel was perfect. staff very attentive, polite , cheerful and proffesionable. Room great, Clean, staff fluffing up cushions. Cannot fault our stay. Many thanks to management and staff
Unfortunately the jaccuzi and steam room were out of action. Having booked a spa and high tea made it a bit dissappointing
Everyting else is brilliant, however, after forking out about £80 for the night, one still has to pay for their breakfast. And after I left my mobile phone charger i still had to pay for the postage. A bit of courtesy to residents on breakfast would be most welcome!!
The location is really good very close to the shopping stores Very clean Breakfast is good
Noise from outside the room location was very bad the cars noise was on all the time
Location was great, staff very helpful.
Breakfast time, the food was ok, not brilliant, some of the bacon if left out for too long was hard and dry. Make sure when you book you ask for a balcony room, not what we had in the family room facing a busy road. Paying 13 per night to park your car was very expensive especially when the hotel is expensive already
Great location had booked a twin room but on arrival found a double had been booked. Staff resolved very promptly and found us a new room.
Good location for town centre access and on site parking.
We stayed in a family room with our 20 month old toddler. First thing she did on arriving was to climb up onto the chair positioned in front of the already wide open first floor sash window. Being a family room you would expect lockable windows but they didn't even have any latches. She could have climbed over the chair back and straight out the window We then found a metal bar normally used for connecting the beds sticking out of the side and had to remove it. The following morning I found a joinery nail on the floor of the room and went to complain about the problems with the room. The reception staff apologised and we were moved to another room. This room seemed generally better but on waking in the morning and trying to leave a door between the room and the corridor had been closed at some point and the handle was broken so we were trapped. I had to phone reception to get someone to come and open the door to let us out. Had there been a fire overnight there would have been no escape route at all. Generally the hotel is a little grubby and in need of refurbishment but the frankly dangerous condition of the family rooms means I would not stay with children again.
I cannot fault anything at all, it is a great hotel in a great location, maybe a tad expensive but still worth the stay
There was nothing I did not like
our room was at the side and back and was noisy with cars and moterbikes
The fact that you were able to accommodate me not wishing to eat anything from the dinner menu due to running the marathon the following day! This was no trouble & you served plain rice & chicken at my request, which hit the spot perfectly. The sauna & pool were also very good post run.
Location, room, swimming pool, breakfast
The room was comfirtable
The spa was not very good both sauna and steam room were not working!
Clean and comfortable room Quiet location overlooking the garden Superb breakfast buffet Staff very helpful and very good
Food excellent and room was near all facilites
Cigarette butts outside our ground floor room. Needs dealing with. Told staff and we are returning for stay in december so will see if they have been cleared or not.
