Rundown hotel, more like a hostel. Do not know how it is 3 stars as the room was disgusting. Nothing like the pictures advertised. The quilt covers and valance had stains and the carpet had lots of wholes in it.The wiring is very dangerous, wires hanging from the wall and a lamp had cellotape holding it together. There were dents in the wall in several locations. There was no fan in the room so it was very hot and clammy, we left the window open and heard all the traffic at night.Took some photos of the room to remind me how bad it really is. No-one from the hotel would come look at the room when asked and the girl at reception offered me two other rooms which were equally as bad.I would never stay there again and the only thing that made me stay the two nights was being so near the tube. Very disappointed with the stay there.

Location, staff were very helpful. The common parts of the hotel were okay and presentable. The room however was absolutely dreadful. The carpet was threadbare, a massive hole in one part where the table was. The bathroom was very crudely finished. The curtains just about covered the windows and there were no net curtains so the people living opposite could see right into the room. There was a wardrobe so small it was impossible to hang our clothes. The walls were scuffed and dirty. The lift was so slow and too small for a hotel this size. The best I can say about this place is the staff were very helpful and putting on a brave face in the most dire circumstances.

This is an awful hotel - the worst I have been in in a long time. Hot room with no air conditioning on our floor, tiny elevator, staff who were minimally helpful, poor water pressure in the shower and a tiny room at the end of a musty hallway. It has one positive feature - its proximity to Paddington station.

Sorry - there is nothing at all I could say positive about my stay at the Norfolk Towers Awful tatty room. Bed sloped making it impossible to sleep properly as I was hanging on to the matress most of the night. Threadbare carpet with tape over it, single glazed window which does not block out any sound from the street and its on a route that drunks take all night as they head home shouting and yelling at the tops of their lungs, the bath leaked and flooded the room below me so I had reception in and out asking me not to shower or use the facilities. All this for £120.00 a night. The type of place that makes you ashamed that tourists will visit this country, pay that ridiculous sum of money for a truly appallling hotel and think that this is what Britain is like.

Proximity to Hyde Park, Paddington Tube Station and the bus stop. Breakfast was the same every day - we stayed 5 nights - but was adequate. Good coffee! Breakfast room staff efficient and pleasant. Reception staff - not an first language English speaker amongst them were pleasant but not very well informed on London and where to go. The bedroom!! Ridiculously small. Husband had to climb over me to get to his side of the bed which was jammed up against the wall, making every effort not to hit his head on the elevated tv shelf. Of course no bedside table on wall side of the bed. Totally inadequate space to put clothing. We had a few problems with the lights in the room and bathroom but they were attended to promptly.

Just one lift which was very, very slow to our pokey room (even though we'd booked an executive room) on 5th floor. Tiny bathroom, no shelves. Noisy room (boiler on roof?) which was particularly annoying during the night/early morning. Very old tv with no remote. Decor looked like it could do with a revamp and beds really needed valences to make them look slightly more appealing. Whole hotel seemed very basic...

The location was fantastic. It was just a few minutes walk away from Paddington station, that was why I choose this hotel.Even if the hotel is located in a lively neigbourhood with bars, restaurants and pubs all around is was astoundingly quiet. The doors were quite thin you could hear everything that happened outside on the corridor and the otherway around. You can hear people talking in their rooms when you wait for the lift. The size of the room was for London Standards okay, I had smaller rooms for much more money. On the other hand, the furniture was outdated by decades but it was clean. The bathroom door was in dire need of replacement as were all the other facilities. The hotel is okay when you only want to stay for one night but try and get a better rate than 95gbp because that is too much for a room like that. I went to breakfast at 7:15 and even that early were the eggs, bacon mushrooms and tomatoes cold. The tea was only available in cups, no chance to get a pot.

I hated this hotel!! The elevator was rickety, the stairs were dangerous, the breakfast was non-existent, the room was hot, the location is bad, and we had no hot water or water pressure. They were nice enough to let me us another room to take a shower, but the shower there was so small I couldn't move and it was moldy!! Not a good hotel!

The hotel did not have any a/C. It also had very poor ventilation. The bed was from another era and the bathroom too was poor in design and fittings. Nothing convenient about this hotel except its location.

Nothing special, Staff were friendly. I definately would not recommend to friends and will not be back. Theier advertisement is false. I was not the only guest with the same opinion. The rooms do not appear as they advertise. Too small for three people.

The bed was reasonable, room size good and Breakfast ok. The shower thermostat was broken so only extremely hot water dribbled from the shower head. As I stayed on one Sunday night I was advised by the friendly staff nothing could be done. The fire alarm sounded at 0645 due to a fault. The official reason given was someone smoking in their room ( that ol chestnut right?) 5 flights of stairs and blurry eyed cramped elevation later I managed to drift back off only for the alarm to sound once more. Any hope of more sleep was now lost.

Dingy, old-fashioned, suspect cleanliness, depressing decor, tiny bathroom... You might ask, "What do you want for 65 quid?", But the answer is there are other, much better hotels out there that do much better for the same price. I would not recommend this hotel to anyone. Interestingly, none of the staff enquired if our stay had been ok. I suspect they know the answer from experience...

Very disappointed. Arrived at hotel changed room 3x due to not being cleaned, and those which had either had dirtty yellow stains on the sheets and covers and others had no pillow cases. There were other guests complaining as well about the same problem. Staff weren't very helpful. Complete waste of money, do not use this hotel!!!
