Score from 79 reviews Superb
The staff were helpful and, although room service is not generally an option, I was allowed room service as I did not feel well and had to work throughout the evening.
I was given a room in a "quiet" position, but there was a lot of noise between 8pm and 10pm. Also, the room door was very flimsy and I did not feel totally secure as there was an outside door just outside my room, which also looked flimsy. I needed to leave at 7am and so I could not have the cooked English breakfast for which I had paid in the price of my room because breakfast does not properly start ntil 7am.
Nice breakfast and nice breakfast room. Nice comfort double bed and big bedroom and space.
no pen or note pad in room or tissues and no welcome pack or room service menu available bathroom was dated.
Lovely Hotel really nice. Staff were lovely.
Beds are past their best, lumpy and hard.
Staff very friendly and helpful Location very convenient for dropping our daughter at University. 10-15 min drive. Excellent safe parking Room basic but comfortable - newly refurbished bathroom Excellent breakfast
No tea/coffee making facilities in room.
Nice easy access into Manchester Breakfast was lovely Staff lovely Would stay again in the future
Personally I found the bed a little two hard but a softer bed is my preference.
Friendly staff, good food, quiet room
Not being told how to get to the "back door" when the main front door was shut. I usually get up early to go for a run and couldn't get out of the building. Took a bit of exploring to find my way out!
The room layout and space
The television had poor reception (picture kept breaking up) Maybe due to the bad weather. But it wasnt worth complaining about.
The friendliness and helpfulness of the staff; the food; our dogs being made welcome; a lovely new shower, and the convenient position of our "budget" room.
Dog friendly.Very welcoming.Freshly prepared food at breakfast.
The location is good, staff friendly, beautiful looking hotel from the front and gardens very nice.
Dated decor and broken things in the room! Be aware if you do not ask for a superior room, which we didn't know about and they have only a few you will be put in the ugly extension at the back which smells of damp and the bed was awful, like sleeping on a board! The room also had an awful smell. Sadly we will not be returning
From the outside The Normanhurst Hotel looked lovely, & was just as nice on the inside. The staff were friendly & very helpful especially the lovely blonde waitress from Salford. All in all staying at The Normanhurst Hotel was an excellent experience.
All was good, couldn't fault anything
the staff very friendly
thought hotel needs abit of a makeover was abit dated and tired
Location was very convinent and breakfast was excellent, fresh and good choice. Shower was very powerful and lots of hot water. Staff were friendly, helpfull and chatty. Bar was nice and cosy, well stocked and not over expensive
Room was small and cold, radiator wasn't working. There was a plug in oil rad that smelled. The bed was not comfortable. Room door wasn't very secure.
Food in restaurant
Small standard rooms in annexe Also walls were very thin A number of light fittings were not working in one of the rooms we booked although this was rectified when we pointed it out
Plenty of room to park.
The bed was extremely hard and uncomfortable. Was woken numerous times through with doors banging.
Good allround facilities very friendly and welcoming would go again if round the area
Very friendly and helpful staff; Rooms a good size, although facilities and decor are quite dated (circa early 90's), but very clean and comfortable.
Parking a little snug some nights. Wi-fi hit and miss sometimes.
Excellent friendly staff. Most accomodating.
Lovely restaurant and food very warm welcoming hotel will stay again.
