A favored vaction spot since the Victorian era, Blackpool is a traditional English seaside town. Amusement arcades and crazy golf courses line the promenade and dotted between them are plenty of places to pick up fresh fish ‘n’ chips and Blackpool rock.
On the 5-mile sandy beach, children can enjoy Punch and Judy shows and donkey rides. Old-fashioned entertainment at its best. At the other end of the scale is the Blackpool Pleasure Beach, a fairground complex comprising a variety of rides, including The Big One - once the world’s tallest and steepest rollercoaster. They actually had to get permission from nearby Blackpool Airport to erect it!
More seaside pursuits are on the town’s 3 piers, one of which is Grade II listed. However, the most recognizable landmark is the Blackpool Tower which houses a circus, 4D cinema and a world-renowned ballroom, to name a few. Modeled on the Eiffel Tower, it is spectacularly lit during the annual Blackpool Illuminations, when the whole town is bathed in bright lights. The trams plying the prom are also lit. Look out for the one shaped like a ship.
A popular bachelor and bachelorette destination, Blackpool has accommodations ranging from North Shore hotels to South Shore B&Bs - see Booking.com for the best choice.

Blackpool has lots of facilities and is perfect for families in the day time. We visit once and our kids have asked to continue visiting three times a year. We will continue to visit but Night life a some attitudes of retailers do change the experience sometimes.
But we wouldn't change it, is has character, well personally we would prefer less night life.
Blackpool during the day is a family paradise.

I have been to Blackpool a few times since I was a child with my family and now I have brought my own children and they love it.
We visited Madame Tussauds, Ripley's, The Dungeons, Blackpool Tower and many many arcades. It is a fab family weekend away and they also have a huge swimming center that looks great but I have not yet visited it yet.
The walk from South the North of the promenade can take a good half hour but there are plenty of the things to stop and look at such as shops, bars, arcades and food places.

What I think of Blackpool from my point of view.....well...
What I think of Blackpool from my point of view.....well it's not a bad town I guess. Blackpool Tower & Ballroom/Winter Gardens/A ride on a heritage tram/A walk on the famous prom, are all absolutely amazing but that's it of what I can personally recommend. To the rest of Blackpool, yes unfortunately it does look a little run down which yes is a tad disappointing BUT they are slowly re-modernising the town centre up, there's new developments on the way, new Tram extension into Blackpool North too which'll be great I guess but yeah, to me I think even with the developments on the way, Blackpool has lost its charm and quality it once has.

Visited winter gardens to enjoy a queen tribute act who was very good. After the performance we visited the slug & lettuce to sample some cocktails which was fun. Overall happy night out with the family
The hotel is just far enough out of Blackpool to make you feel that you are still in Blackpool. Tram stops just outside which is excellent if you wanted to walk or travel by tram. Parking on the front of the hotel is perfect. We arrived early and were able to check in early, leave the car and go off and enjoy our short stay. The hosts were both lovely, knowledgeable and helpful. We were upgraded to a seafront room, breakfast was lovely and we could have had whatever we wanted, nothing was too much trouble.
The location of the hotel was perfect. The room had a modern décor and was spotless. the EnSite was slightly dated but still spotlessly clean. All the staff where friendly and helpful and the bar offered a good range of snack foods such as pizza, sandwiches and jacket potatoes which was ideal after a long day sightseeing. This hotel is very family friendly orientated, Myself and my Son both had amazing time will definitely stay here again on our next trip to Blackpool
Made to feel very welcome. It was just me and my son, something I do not do very often and so it was nice to stay somewhere so accommodating and with lovely owners.
Very clean, great location (especially for someone with mobility issues like myself). Breakfast was was lovely, and personalised for my son.
My son now wants to live (at what he calls) the red hotel.
Whenever we return to Blackpool, we will be staying here.
Thank you both 😊
While the room was more than a little aged and cramped and a hot shower was a gamble, the Walford more than made up for it with their very welcoming staff and superb breakfasts. Within a single morning, we all felt like family and were very well looked after. I’m sure I’m misspelling their names, but Lynne, Gary and Gail are some of Blackpool’s best!!
Ben and Ian have done a brilliant job with the hotel. it’s perfectly placed on the front, the rooms are spotless and so comfy, and the breakfasts!! omg… They also have the best stocked bar in Blackpool. To cap it all, they are two of the nicest, most genial hosts in the business. Can’t wait to come back….
Excellent breakfast. Large, spotless clean room. Very spacious bathroom. Bonus table and 2 chairs for drinking coffee in the room too which we were not expecting. The best hotel we have ever stayed at in Blackpool. Will definitely be booking again. Excellent location.
Very friendly owner who did everything she could to help our family of 5 and small dog, very clean family room with double bed & bunk bed for the kids. For a couple of days stay in Blackpool that accommodates dogs on the seafront this hotel is perfect.
Lovely atmosphere. Owner very welcoming and friendly. Room very clean. Location was great. It’s definitely the best hotel my family and I have stayed in in Blackpool. Can not fault the place. would definitely stay here again.
The Galaxy hotel is very centrally located near Blackpool Tower. The room was clean and comfortable and exceptionally quiet. The hosts were very welcoming and helpful. The price charged was very reasonable.
The hotel. Has a good. Location for access to trams to Bispham and Blackpool and surrounding area room was clean and warm when getting back from seafront walk and on site aprking a good thing for guests
Lovely hotel ,very clean and the staff are very friendly ,rooms are very nice ,location good ,close to everything ,breakfasts are very nice ,we will be staying here from now on when we visit blackpool
Exceptional service from the very friendly and helpful staff. The hotel is located in the quieter south seafront of Blackpool and all rooms are beautifully furnished. We loved the whirlpool bath.
The location is a walk away from all Blackpool has to offer but at the same time far enough away not to be disturbed by the amenities of the seafront. I would definitely stay again.
In all had a good time and chill. Hotel was good to get about and see the lot of Blackpool
Staff are great and entertainment great.will be back for my next stay
The hotel is a short walk to the seafront and all the Blackpool attractions. The manager was very welcoming and gave me some suggestions about places to see.
