Noisy children in swimming pool Room a little disappointing for the money
The pool is fantastic. The staff and service was excellent.
We felt let down, paying so much, for two single beds pushed together and with a large stain on the sheets. They said this was due to rust on the cleaning machine but we wondered if the room had been missed out as there was also a letter for the previous person. The service was fantastic but the food did not live up to the gourmet portion sizes and the price.
Location and great food and facilities.
The pool and the food
They cocked up the booking for me and my sons who travelled down from Scotland. Rooms were all wrong with the small bed being put in the wrong room despite me explaining it to the reception staff. When we booked the restaurant for 5 people they said they had a table for room 314 for 2 people and would we require the high chair!! Neith my wife nor I required a high chair.
Log fires, good food, lovely spa
Lovely stay however disappointed with cost of breakfast therefore decided not to eat as £15 per head was rather expensive
Bed too firm however I do suffer with back problems
Friendly staff and the pleasant surprise of that personal touch in the room upon our arrival
Very comfortable bed. The real fires were lovely but the seating very uncomfortable.
Tired decor and very uncomfortable settee in sitting area of the four poster suite.
Comfortable room, very friendly helpful staff, interesting menu and good service in the restaurant.
Much of the hotel's public areas were taken up with a large wedding party at lunch time which prevented me from using the terrace area for my own lunch - but that was the luck of the draw I reckon!
Spa facilties were good and nice good, very good staff and comfortable
A bit too family friendly as we were a couple looking for a relaxing break. Too many children in pool, restaurant and sitting areas late at night, sent us off to bed.
Room was too small, I was on business and very few plug sockets! I complained and they brought me an extension lead!
Food was good
My wife cut her foot getting into the jacuzzi, we informed staff who sent a manager over after they gave ME a plaster to put on her, The management were more concerned about getting us to sign a form than how my wife was and how our stay was. My wife had to leave the spa area as people were staring at her and made her feel uncomfortable, plus she was in pain, so we went back to the room, when we filled in the form my wife was not offered a drink or anything and we were not compensated at all for the whole experience being ruined, we have 3 young children and one is autistic so this was a surprise break I planned for us.
Room service was quick and well presented.
The bedroom and bathroom are getting a bit tired and needs updating. Delaminating side tables did not look good!
The cost of any extras including coffee ect
Children loved the complimentary cookies with there names on Room was ideal with us having young children double bed with. Step up to bunk bed and seating area
Staff was brilliant!
Sofa bed was broke bottom corner so was slanted
The Quality of the food and the excellent service in the dining room
The bed and failure to get connected to Wi-Fi
