All perfect, very friendly, super value for money
just a bit difficult to find
Absolutely loved the comforting cosy feel of the lodge. Amazing location. Superb views. Delicious takeaway Mr Rice is definetly worth a mention. Coal fire so worth it, even pre-lit for us arriving. Warm and welcoming family. Not at all intrusive and perfect for families.
Nothing to dislike. If I was the type to split hairs I'd say maybe invest in a tumble dryer / dishwasher for the lodge but we certainly didn't need one as only stayed for 2 nights and where out a lot. Maybe families staying longer might want that?
Roaring fire, friendly, helpful hosts, well appointed accommodation that has everything you could need ( the main bed is very firm though..) lovely views out over Inverness... Hope to go back
Bed very firm, but that's just personal preference and others will love it!
Beautiful location, Jane is extremely willing to please, fire was crackling on our arrival, very comfortable night in lovely place
Fantastic location Amazing Veiws Loved The Coal Fire Very Peaceful n Cosey. Jane is a Fantastic Host . Would recommend it to anyone. Very Friendly Warm n Welcoming
This was a very friendly and hospitable place to stay. The hosts couldn't have been more helpful. We will certainly be back. Thanx again.
Lots of space, amazing views, very comfortable and welcoming.
Coal fire lit when we arrived, welcoming hosts and lovely homely apartment perfect with 3 young kids.
the scenery was very pleasant quiet location friendly staff option to pay paypal liveable and homely
Outdated 2 bedroom apartment was really a 1 bedroom with a harry potter style closet could never sleep 3 people. doors where stiff and so long from town can be up to 20 pound in prime time for taxi. 140 for 1 night I think was very overpriced no breakfast late check in and have to check out at 10am I think if prce was reduced in half this would justify a cheap weekend break I would recommend else where
Good location and great views. Spacious and comfortable rooms. Great value for money.
Off food from previous guests left in cupboard.
location, a couple of miles outside town so car essential kitchen facilities good, beds clean and comfy BT Wifi good
needs a good clean need to replace lightbulbs that don't work!. need to update description that mentions 42' TV, it's not and there's no iPod dock.
Very hospitable host. Quaint accommodation. Great views and mountain air.
Dryer was a bit of a leaky dinosaur...but just a small whinge.
Great hosts, ok location, lots of space.
The owner was a very sweet and lovely woman. We were tired and unsure of directions when we arrived so she offered to drive us into town to find a restaurant. The house was clean and had a nice living room and dining area. Our host started a fire in the fireplace for us right away which provided a nice ambiance. Once the fog lifted, there was a good view from all windows. They had a number of TV stations and wireless internet.
Finding the house was a bit challenging, and when we arrived, we were put off by odds and ends of furniture and kids' toys in the yard. The kitchen was generally well equipped but could have had more than one hand towel for drying dishes. The clothes dryer was not working (the owner dried our clothes in her own dryer, which was nice, but it was a little awkward). Attention to details, such as having adequate toilet paper, were overlooked.
-wide livingroom -perfect equipment -kind master
Super nice family who are willing to help with anything; Large living room and decent kitchen with everything needed; Owners dog barked a bit but it wasn't bothersome. Have to pay cash or PayPal but not an issue, just have to be prepared for it.
I really hate to complain, but wish someone else listed the following: Carpets seemed dirty and the place smelled generally musty and could use a good update; Couch was torn and the TV only got a few channels; Several windows didn't open properly; The trees are so high that there is no view of Inverness; Pictures show outside tables/seats, but there were none; Mattresses were hard and lumpy (uncomfortable); Dryer didn't work. If the owners put some work into this apartment, it could be really great. Only 10 min drive into town.
Location was beautiful! Facilities were cozy and very comfortable and more than adequate for our stay. Host was very sweet and accommodating without being overbearing. Would definitely stay again.
Nothing! Only word of warning: quite far from town, wouldn't be desirable without a personal vehicle. Not easily found by GPS alone. I did some research on Google maps first then used the gps to get us close and we found it without any trouble.
Superb place and superb service. Thank's a lot
Spacious, home from home. And lovely views
need a car to get there from central Inverness
Relaxed set-up, no hassle with kids, much better than squeezing into a hotel room.
Not within walking distance of town - you need a car!
Felt like home, very comfortable, and clean, kids loved it.. would recommend..
Bit far out but we had a car, little cons on living room because of coal fire but it was still lovely, upstairs was really hot and comfortable, tv wasn't 42" ...not big issues will definitely come back.
The apartment was a very good size for us and tbe grandchildren .
The place is really lovely, has everything to spend a nice time in Inverness. The fire place was turned on, which was really nice. The rooms were in perfect conditions. We got a bit lost before to arrive, but the hosts were there to help us. The view is amazing an is a perfect place for hollydays, definitely we would like to go back.
We adored staying at the lodge, and were disappointed we only stayed two nights. Jane was absolutely lovely. Ensured the fire was stocked, and started it when we had trouble, we were able to check in early, gave us champaign and chocolates for our stay over New Years Eve, moved clothes from the washing machine to the dryer when I requested while we were out, mailed some clothes to me that we'd left behind. Was contactable at all times. Was just a pleasure to deal with and our stay was just lovely, and I hope to see her again in the future. Coming from Australia, it was a lovely novelty to have an open fireplace at our disposal.
It was difficult to find, a notice board or sign needs to be located at the foot of the huge hill. A few small homely items could be added for convenience for future guests - gargabe bin in the bathroom, hand soap and perhaps a book case to place items/towels, some plastic bowls/cups for kids, vegetable peeler. Nothing major. We were disappointed that there wasn't any snow during our visit.
