Northern Hotel  

Excellent apartments , staff where first class from arrival to departure. Breakfast was first class In a former life I was a director for THF hotels and would happily award the Northern Hotel 100 out of 100

Nothing I didn't like

peace and quiet, despite being pre-warned that there may be some noise from the 'club' below. We hardly heard a thing. Very friendly man on reception when we arrived. excellent breakfast choice.

Very large room with a very wide bed but normal length so not so good for us 6ft + people but comfortable and quiet. Good convenient parking.

very noisy at weekend, located above pub which plays loud music until early hours of morning. Also allow functions to spill out to hotel corridors - NOT recommended for those with children, or those wanting a full nights sleep

The breakfast was excellent with a huge choice to suit everyones taste. The room was spacious and clean with plenty of heating for a frosty night. The shower room was just right in size and not cramped like some places.

Was not advised of the parking facility at the back on arrival and only found out from other guests.

Large room, good facilities and good location with Brechin main high street close by.

Nice large room with comfy king-size bed and the wonderful Scottish breakfast (particularly the Arbroath smokies) not to be missed!

We had business in Aberdeen and stayed here on the way up and on the way back down a few days later. Friendly staff, nice rooms, the food is excellent, sensible prices. We are going to book back here again later in the year.

Lovely hotel and lovely staff. Also makes a change to find free wi-fi in a hotel that actually works perfectly!

The room was very comfortable clean and practical. Shower was fantastic. Staff could not do enough and the breakfast was to die for.

Lift to all rooms, as I was on crutches.

Room was small, no view and over the bar downstairs. Noise one night was very loud. But all credit to the staff on duty, when we mentionned at reception the loud music, the noise level was cut dramatically.

Rooms are a good size, well fitted out, clean and comfortable. Decent restaurant, serving good quality food, if a little on the pricey side. Good location in the middle of Brechin, although the weather during my stay wasn't conducive to sight-seeing. Friendly, helpful staff.

Room 101 bathroom 'clinical' Felt more like a hospital facility.

The bar had a good atmoshpere everyone made you feel welcome

There was no one on the desk when I left early hrs in the morning to check out. this was not that much of a problem as they phoned to sort the bill out.

I stayed at the Northern Hotel on the 7th of November. I must say I thought the hotel surpassed my expectations, staff are very friendly and helpfull. The rooms are spacious and well desisgned. The highlight for me was the food, absolutely gorgeous! I have stayed at higher star hotels but have not matched the quality nof food served at the Northern.
