Dining in the sun lounge
Lovely hotel with great facilities, very comfortable room, helpful and friendly staff. Good food - everything very clean - a lot of thought has gone into making your stay a good one.
The swimming pool was lovely quite a good size, good location only 5 minutes to the beach and pubs .
Good sized rooms, friendly staff, comfortable lounge, pleasant garden and putting green, flexible menu and good food reasonably priced.
Bathroom although adequate needs updating, shower pressure quite low. Self serve toaster at breakfast is useless, best done in kitchen and delivered to table. Bed protectors noisy.
We had a lovely stay and I would highly recommend to friends.
Only one think I did not like and that the breakfast staff were too eager to remove your plates whilst still eating
a hotel with plenty of character situated in a great part of the country
Great hotel, traditional and made you feel welcome and valued. Nothing was too much effort. My parents, who the hotel stay was a gift for, couldn't fault the hotel in any way. Lots of space, big rooms, great pool, lovely gardens and really good evening meals at a good price. Thanks for giving then a great break.
That I hadn't booked myself in there too!
Big comfortable room and friendly helpful staff.
Everything!!!!!! Can't say anything less.
That I was only staying there room and breakfast for three nights. Would have loved to stay longer!!
Good location close to front for walks and easy to get out of town for sightseeing further afield.
Food was adequate but not outstanding.
Ideal for our requirements
Being squashed on a two persons table at breakfast requesting a larger table the second morning and being given the same table aaaarrgghhhh!!!
Immediate welcome from reception. Breakfast staff could not have been more accommodating. Hotel has such a wonderful
Gardens Traditional style - Edwardian features still in place. Pool, gym, spa Gardens View from bedroom And the gardens
Location of the hotel was exellent.Comfortable and clean rooms.Tasty breakfast, evening meal menu ok,not much to tempt teenagers.
The furniture needed up-dating.Pool a bit on the small side.
Hotel was close to the beach.
Having to pay an extra £50 for cleaning or shall I say to remove 15 empty beer bottles.
Efficient, friendly, helpful staff, Accommodation very clean and comfortable,
One very small point. Eating in restaurant, after main coarse, expected to leave table to visit sweat trolley to choose/collect sweat. ( A little annoying)
it was peaceful and the staff were very helpful,it was also close to the town.
paeking was a bit step.
Extremely helpful staff - which includes the owners. The swimming pool and gymnasium were excellent and we enjoyed the putting green.
I really enjoyed my stay here and warmly recommend it! The hotel has all the English hospitality and friendliness you can ask for. The room is large and comes with a bordeline lavish range of freebies like candy, fruit, drinks and so on.
Had trouble sleeping due to the lack of Air Conditioning, and a room facing the sunny side, which meant it was insanely hot. But that's European countryside for you - there rarely is. Fortunately sleeping with the window open was fine, with no midges or noises. What I found a bit silly is that they hadn't even bpthered putting a simple fan in the room. Even a £20 fan would do wonders in the summer. Oh well. If you're used to rest-of-the-world high standards of A/C and travelling in the summer be warned.
Dressing room mirror in room 26 should be in front of the chair..only a man could have positioned this!
The receptionist Trina was excellent
Shame about manager/owner..whilst paying my bill he didn't once acknowledge either me or another customer who also was paying their bill...bearing in mind I did make eye contact with him, he looked away !!!!!....the place has lots of potential but seems to have been cheaply equipped.....a great shame.....also the attitude of the breakfast staff leaves a lot to be desired...so so abrupt and rude !!!!
Comfortable room and lounge, friendly staff, wifi, traditional British food, afternoon tea.
