Northop Hall Country House Hotel is set in over nine acres of grounds and woodland, just over nine miles from Chester. A beautiful Victorian hall which has been tastefully modernized retaining many of the wonderful features of the hotel. A perfect venue for conferences, seminars and exhibitions, the Northop Country House Hotel offers three excellent suites, one to provide theater seating for up to 120 attendees, and two others accommodating up to 16 people. The countryside location made for a quiet and restful stay. The breakfast was buffet style offering a plentiful supply, and wide variety, of food. A lack of attention had been given to preparing the room. Several of the lightbulbs in the room did not work, we had to ask a member of staff to come and change the television as that did not work either, and dust, crumbs and cobwebs were all evident.

The approach to Northop Hall was, beautiful. Set back from the main road in its own grounds the hotel was striking. The general area of reception was pleasant as well as the bar area. The bedroom needed tlc the carpet was old and did not seem to be fitted well at all. I went to use the bath and found a clump of hairs in the plug hole. After cleaning that out and switching on the cold water tap black pieces of came through.

Conveniently located and easily accessible but with a real sense of being 'off the beaten track.' The members of staff to whom we spoke were conscientious and helpful, yet human and with a lovely sense of humour. We will be very happy to recommend the hotel to friends and family.

Excellent Hotel for it's price. Good food, good friendly service, good location for Chester but not easy to find...Sat Nav leads you to the Hotel. A hard to beat Hotel for this price. Great Buffet breakfast.

Staff were attentive in the main and certainly helpful Rooms were tired, cramped and water for basin and shower were virtually non-existent. I had to lie down in the bath to get enough water pressure to get myself wet - not a pleasant experience for anyone!

I was so comfortable staying at Northop Country House. The staff was so lovely and friendly. My room was perfect and the breakfast was the best...lovely old fashioned with lots of charm. We went to a fancy dress haloween party and the staff made some lovely comments...The bar staff were bubbly and full of life and energy. I had a bigger room them my friends so they had a chat with the staff and they moved them to the bigger room without any hesitence. Great place and next time I visit my friends I willl def stay

The service for a celebration of an 80th birthday with 110 guests was excellent. The staff cleared up after the party and had the main room reorganised for breakfast. The food was excellent. There is a problem concerning water pressure in the morning which we were warned off but it still is a problem. Fortunately we were up and showered before the rush a bit later when the water pressure was virtually non existent.

We thought the hotel was veru grand,the staff very helpful,friendly and very accommodating.the breakfast was more than adequate. The only negative thing was the bed was a little uncomfortable. We will definitely stay again. As we often visit northop as we have friends there. .Many thanks

Front of house, bar, lounge etc, very nice. The staff were friendly and there's a lovely atmosphere. Once out of the main areas, the corridors get a bit scruffier. Our room wasn't very nice and needed to be completely ripped out and refurbished.
