Bed way too small even for a single and room dated and i need of a re-furb
Helpful staff, early check in
Banging doors & talking in corridor from a wedding party (not hotel fault)
The hotel is dog friendly and the room was very nice considering it was a dog friendly room.
The menu in the restaurant was very limited and very expensive.
We always try to stay at Northop Hall whenever we visit this area. The staff are great, friendly and go out of their way to assist whenever possible. We have made a number of return visits to this hotel because se we know we will enjoy our visit.
The prices in the bar were in our opinion way over the top of any other establishment we visited during our stay.
Nice hotel with lots of character. I booked 2 rooms for myself and my colleague and was pleased with my choice. We were late arriving so I rang ahead and the hotel laid on sandwiches for us, these were very good and plentiful.
The buffet breakfast was a little disappointing, I was the first guest there and the bacon was dried out. The sausages were undercooked.
At a wedding The whole night was beautiful was perfect
Communal rooms (bar/breakfast) very nice. Breakfast was good. Breakfast staff lovely
A wedding was taking place at the time of our visit. This overshadowed our stay due to lack of space/seating in bar areas and extremely noisy. Bedroom was very small and a very poor standard of furnishings, décor and cleanliness. Double bed was actually a three-quarter bed. Lock on door did not work. Complained on check-out. Reception not interested. Later found out friends had received a discount on their room price following similar concerns, but not offered to us.
Breakfast was excellent lovely and hot plenty of everything
Was kept awake for hours with the traffic noise as we were allocated a back room- 304
Single room although cheap was not well maintained
Lovely gardens. Friendly staff. Good food.
Poor water pressure for shower.
The Breakfast excellent specially the sausage.
Loved location, hotel is beautiful, staff were excellent. Food was excellent, grounds were excellent. Overall we really enjoyed our stay, although brief.
Room could have been cleaner especially bathroom. Decor was tired and some repairs were poor.We did have last room as it was a last minute decision . Also a large wedding was booked so I guess all best rooms were already booked.
Last min booking. Everything was fantastic staff were more than attentive. Great location best in Flintshire
Wifi is a bit wafty
Nice location with the sun shining. Lovely interior to main hotel. comfortable and clean. Very nice.
I thought there would be more grounds to wander round - basically there's just a (very) large front lawn.
The ease in booking on line and the simplicity on arriving/departing. breakfast was of a very good standard.
The deep hole in the carpeted floor of room 104 needs to be sorted.
The location for the wedding we attended.
The hotel was looking tired. The bathroom needs attention.
I could not get the shower to work. I had to leave at 7am and breakfast was not available I had to settle for a bowl of cereal
Location - nice rural setting and easy access to Chester. Spacious room. Breakfast was very good. Evening meal was good value for money. Staff were friendly and helpful. Ample parking.
Decor is tired other than in the dining and hall areas. Our visit coincided with a wedding party, which effectively excluded us from using the lounge and outside sitting areas. It may be worth checking if your stay is likely to be free of such events.
lovely clean building, generous sized room, lovely staff, excellent breakfast choice and good value for money.
nothing to dislike.
The hotel relies on the quality of the restaurant which is very good.
The rooms are becoming rather shabby and the wi-fi coverage is limited. Also the water pressure and temperature is, at best, adequate and generally very poor
A quaint well positioned hotel, with easy access.
Asked for a quiet room, unfortunately woken by a dog barking in a room two doors down at 7:00am, complained at reception response-"Oh dear, thats not the kind of morning wake up you need" perhaps a better response would have been "I do apologies sir how can we make that unpleasant experience better"? unfortunately for them we were assessing the venue for a wedding, so wont be going back with my business.
made us feal really welcome, staff were very polite and helpful. lovely experience all round
abysmal ancient mattress. tired bathroom . deepfried bacon at breakfast.
Pretty house with pretty grounds! Nice breakfast! Staff were pleasant
Couldn't get wifi, leaking shower, no bar after 10.30pm, very noisy hotel, no view out of window!
Staff exceptionally friendly and attentive
