A family run small hotel but with all the necessary amenities for a weekend break. We travelled to see the Yeovilton Air Show and it was very convenient. We even enjoyed a flight bypass from the comfort of our own room. The staff were most pleasant and thanks to Mark for leaving us back into Yeovil in his own car - hope your golf went well

I can't fault anything....staff were wonderful...the room was beautiful..I Even went downstairs to actually compliment the receptionist on the standard of the room...the walls are not soundproofed but that is mentioned in the rooms folder and they do ask customers to be aware of this and to keep the noise down...but again this wasn't a problem... We ate in the resturant one night..the food was very good....maybe could have more of a selection..less formal type of food...but very nice..I Would definately stay again when visiting family...

Everything. The Staff made an already excellent ambiance warmer. Very helpful polite jolly. The food was top notch. What was simple home cooking was made special with some fine attention to detail. I had bangers & mash with a difference, allpe crumble & ice cream Yum yum. I'll be back for more!! Nothing, it was great.

Cold, noisy, sparsely furnished, ridiculously small TV and the 'restaurant' has all the ambiance of a works canteen.

I found it way overpriced for the facilities we received. My partners son had his wedding ceremony there and we arrived the night before and met a group of people whom we travelled over with, there was one bar staff on for all of us and we were waiting up to a half an hour for service, that also happened the next day at the wedding,They certainly lost out on an awful lot of business because of the lack of staff. The rooms were also very cold at night and morning with no extra blankets in room. Food was also overpriced for what we received. There were no enclosed smoking facilities, a roof would have been nice!

The staff were very accommodating and friendly, nothing was too much trouble. I had the best nights sleep ever, so much so that I even checked what pillows they used as I was so comfortable! I would definitely recommend the Northover Manor!! It was just a gorgeous place to stay - great hotel, great location and great staff. Thank you very much.

It's proximity to the Fleet Air Arm Museum. Good bar. Friendly staff. The rececptionist did listen to our complaints and gave her apologies. Terrible mattress with springs almost visible. No hair dryer. No tissues. No heating. Dirty bathroon carpet. Loo seat badly fitted and very uncomfortable. Worn out ragged towels which were too small.

Location ok as long as you opt for room at rear as shielded from road noise. Restaurant 'Set Menu' option was very good value and of a very good standard. Staff were very welcoming and friendly. I would definitely stay there again. Bathroom had carpet which looked a bit grubby. Tv was quite small in comparison to 'hotel standard'.

Nice friendly hotel.Spacious for a family room.Bathroom walls needed painting. Breakfast very good but as the hotel had family rooms the resturant was not geared up for children, had no childrens menu. The staff tried there best but we only ate there one night would have eaten there the second night if there was better choose. No childrens menu.

We enjoyed the visit to bar and restaurant, great staff and well presented food, the room comfortable but in need of updating. We would stay again! When we first arrived we were offered a room in the annex, this was not suitable. The room was right next to the main door and people were opening and closing it all day!We were moved to a much nicer room in the old building and suited us perfectly.

I liked the tea /coffee making facilities, the size of the room and it had a good shower. Breakfast was very good. I wasn't made aware that if I was going out for the evening I should take my key with me. When I arrived back at 11.30pm I was locked out and had to call the manager to let me in. In fairness there was a small sign by reception and when I was leaving the receptionist was on the phone so wouldn't have had the opportunity to tell me not to leave my key on the sek. However, perhaps it should be said when checking in.

Staff at both check-in and check-out were very friendly, as was the young lady serving breakfast, (which was freshly cooked by the way and a good choice on offer) On a minor niggle but the bed in my room had a wider base that the mattress.........and it took 2 knocks to my ankle to get used to it!!

We stayed at this hotel as we were attending a wedding that was taking place there. We had a lovely time at the wedding and the whole wedding package was very professional and tastefully done from the wedding service through to the reception and night reception. The quality of the food was first class and all staff were found to be very helpful at all times. The thing that let our stay at this hotel down was the room that we were given to stay in Room No 16. This was a very basic room, very bland and colourless, there was no drawers no wardrobes,no electric plug near a mirror to enable you to use hair dryer or tongs, there was an iron but no ironing board and no trouser press as was stated in the brochure, the bathroom was very cramped when you used the sink you burnt your arm on the electric towel rail and the worse thing of all was the shower did not work at all . When you looked through the windows you was faced with a grey slate roof which was depressing and an extractor fan on the outside wall was on and off all night.

The in-house restaurant was amazing. Would HIGHLY recommend, although a little pricey, it's worth every penny!! The hotel was quietly located and the atmosphere was good. For some reason, the temperature was very hot. The room was a little grubby, but it was a very old building.
