Friendly staff Very close to city centre
Had no ice for drinks from the bar.
roof over head
Very noisy Worn Dirty Credit card fee WiFi not included Unsympathetic staff
The plate on which the breakfast was served was 'hot'. The member of staff present in the morning was friendly and helpful.
The room was cold on arrival. The curtains did not fit. The room was not only extremely tired in decor but was filthy in places with large gaps in tiles on bathroom floor. The room was absolutely tiny - I am not tall and could lie on bed and touch both walls. The hangers in the wardrobe were cheap and not clean. The cupboard space was unfinished plywood/mdf - so I left my stuff in my overnight bag rather than leave it on any 'shelf'. I paid for breakfast - the coffee was appallingly cheap and bad (cold and tasted woeful). Bread left out for toasting had obviously been around a while and the top two slices were rock hard. The cooked breakfast was 'slim' and of very cheap quality. Overall, I wish I had realised there was a Travelodge nearby as I would have stayed in that any day rather than in this poor excuse for a hotel. I will not be staying again nor could I recommend it to anyone. Find somewhere else nearby, I am sure it couldn't be worse that this hotel which might have seen better days - but, if so, they were many decades ago. There are many hotels nearby offering value for money - as well as some B&Bs. The nearby shopping centre serves an 'all day' breakfast which is far superior and evn costs less. Although this hotel is at the cheaper end of the market - you do not even get what you pay for, so I cannot count it as good value. Unfortunately, I chose to ignore other reviews and take a chance - wish i hadn't.
Good location, I felt safe wakling back after dark. Large supemarket near by is convenient for buying dinner as there is no room service. Good service at breakfast. Clean and comfortable enough room.
Very basic and dated deco. No lift and its a bit of a maze, so negotiating stairs with a suitcase could be tricky. I wasn't offered any help to get me and my bag to the room. The shower was a bit tricky to operate and wasn't exactly a power shower.
The location is fine within 10 minutes drive to the centre
The bed was dirty with hairs under the matters, the tv is so tiny and internet is not free
Location, value for money, cooperative staff, and comfort
free internet is available in public area only.
The most comfortable nights sleep I've had in a long time.
Charged for broadband and use charged for debit or credit card
All staff attitude they are excellent service, car park
The hotel nee TLC, they don't have a room service
The staff was very helpful and friendly. A very nice and clean room.
Convenient Cost efficient Friendly staff Basic bur comfortable stay
Small room and toilet
the location was fine, good local buses in to princess street and to the zoo. the staff were very friendly and helpful. the room only basic, but fine didnt spend much time in hotel.
the noise, was room 1 first room up the stairs, heard people passing, into the early hours.
Couldn't have a shower in room no privacy. V small room for the price we paid but had a good sleep
It has a private parking area, the place is clean.
It started off with the receptionist trying (maybe unintentionally so) to charge me £10 more than advertised. It got sorted out, but it required some talking. Then, finding your way to the second floor is not obvious. I stayed in room 24. The bedroom area is fine, the bathroom is functional but I am sorry to say the finishing job is terrible; the bathroom door doesn't close nor does it lock (it seems someone tried to slam it shut and crushed the lock), the door leaves an inch-wide gap with the floor and is not even cut straight. It all works fine but could do with some attention. All in all, it turns out to be expensive for the service offered.
Nice room with street view. The room is clean and the shower is powerful.
It was handy for nipping into town yet far enough out for a peaceful quiet nite breakfast was 1class
Nothing I could fault for the prices
Terrible wifi Poor selection on continental breakfast
everything was good as I had expected
Bed was comfy, pillows were nice & firm.
Toilet had not been cleaned. Filthy. Loo brush was sitting in pool of dirty water. Bathroom & wardrobe area very dated & not all that clean/sticky. Patio right outside window, which didn't close properly. Curtains thin so felt unsafe as didn't know who may be outside looking in after dark. Very unnerving! Door to patio unlocked when I checked in. Gale blowing through keyhole & window. Sparks from electrical socket on wall when I plugged in my phone charger (which was an extension cable block) Room door was a dead lock, which I didnt think was now safe & legal? ie could potentially not be able to get out in fire/smoke, if hadn't left key in door.
Off road parking. On bus route.
Horrible room, 15ft x 6ft, wardrobe 18in wide with 6 shelves coat hangers on hooks on wall over radiator. Bathroom no toilet roll holder, no towel rail, no shelf for toothbrush etc, sink so small had to use cup to fill kettle, no double glassing traffic noise all night. Had to get out of bed to turn off bedside light. Food didn't have any can't comment. Booked 1 night only never book again.
Free parking, short taxi ride to city centre, leaving the place!
Staff were very rude (Especially the guy working the evening/night shift), Demanded we pay upfront, stayed there for a week and only gave us 1 set of towels without having to be asked. Same for toilet roll, shampoo etc... Kettle didn't work. Rat poison laid in the room.
We just like the location. it is just near the city centre when you drive.
Unfriendly Staffs and | think its just because that its a family business and they are not trained to act as a hotel staff. Imagine a a toilet without a toilet roll holder !!!! and when you ask them they say its normal!!!!!! they don't clean the rooms properly . If they clean it at all. No chair in the room. Imagine an IPAD as a tv in room . smallest tv I've ever seen .Towel from previous guest still in the room. When I asked them about collecting the used towel from the room (they didnt took the towels when we were out) the answer was you should put the used towels on the floor !!!!!!! otherwise we don't touch them.basic room facilities . no towel hanger and shelf in the shower .no car par lights .car park completely unsafe. poor room lighting .too old and unclean mattresses (dont believe me ?Try it) %5 charge for credit card payments.!!!! Finally I think its not a hotel its just like a hostel with some extra facilities. Definitely I don not come here again and don't recommend here to anybody specially my relatives
