Norton Lodge Hotel And Conference CentreNewark Road Norton Disney, LN6 9JR Norton Disney (Show map) Very good, Score from 56 reviews“This was a superb location for visiting Lincoln. The room was excellent with all facilities. The breakfast was delicious. We had an early start but would have liked to linger longer over the breakfast. Peaceful and tranquill, nice homely friendly atmosphere, family run. Perfect if you like complete peace and quiet. Didn"t really feel like a hotel as the night we stayed there were only a couple of other guests there and there were no bar facilities. It is more conferene center than hotel. Please note this is an observation not a complaint, our stay there was lovely.

The fact that the rooms, each having its individual access, are grouped around a courtyard.

The location was great.Out in the countryside, and quiet, but with very easy access to Lincoln. Although rooms were very comfortable, there was a lack of anywhere to put clothes apart from a hanging rail. Also there did,nt seem to be anywhere to sit in the evening in you just wanted to have a drink.

Extremely helpful staff - arranged taxi, offered to carry bags etc. Warned us there would be a function on in the evening but would stop at 12 which it did. Very comfy bed and clean room.

Fantastic value for money. Very nice modern, comfortable room. Excellent breakfast and friendly staff. So much nicer than similarly priced budget hotels we've stayed at. A real treat to stay there rather than just a necessity. Didn't like the sheet on the bed with just the bedspread on top of it. There was a blanket in a cupboard which I put on but I still had to use the heavy bedspread which you usually remove and to find the bedding underneath. I would have much preferred a duvet.

The lodge was in a beautiful countryside location We choose the lodge for its quiet location so we could relax in the bar when we got back from the busy christmas market, but we were very disappointed to be told the bar was not open, but there was a pub a mile down the road, but it was down a very narrow lane and unlit country road the pub was really nice and inviting and all the other guests from the hotel were there as well. We will not be going back to norton lodge.

The room was excellent clean, the only down side was that the rooms were separate from the main building. As above the rooms being separate from the main building meant a walk in the open air to reach the dining room a walk of some 70 metres. We were not informed of breakfast times which ended at 9am luckily we arrived for breakfast at 8.50 otherwise no food, there was also no mention in the guests folder in the room concerning meal times.A bad oversight for a hotel holding a four star tourist board rating.

Wonderful rural ambiance and perfect for our trip to the Antiques Fair at the Newark Showgrounds. The room was delightful, and the food cooked for us, amazing. A wonderful place for a wedding or weekend getaway. Highly recommend!

Quiet location I booked a family room which was no longer available. I received a phone call and was offered 2 rooms for the same price. Telephone number to ring on arrival if noone in reception. No response and no apology when someone arrived.

A real family room - would sleep 4 adults. No one around on arrival - though only a phone call away - no restuarant, no lounge - no heating on on arrival.

Very clean rooms, excellent breakfast, stunning rural location, lovely and quiet, local pub (Green Man) had excellent food and real ales. Staff could be hard to find when checking in/out, no food or bar on site although local pub (3/4 mile walk) was excellent and a drop off and pick up service was offered by the hotel if needed.

Staff were very friendly and helpful. The family room we stayed in was excellent, 1 very large double, 2 singles and still plenty of room for a cot. Breakfast was buffet style and included full english, a selection of cereals and tea & coffee, very good. The location was very quite away from any main roads. Would definitely recommend to a friend and will use again if in the area again. There was no bar area which would be good if there was a group of friends staying there together.

I chose to stay at Norton Lodge because of its location and setting. I’m always away on business and a good night’s rest is important to me. The location is ideal as it’s only 5 mins from the A46 with easy access to surrounding towns. The owners are great; I was even offered a lift to and from the pub! They don’t always serve an evening meal which is dependent on numbers of guests. However this is not a problem as there is a good pub half a mile down the road who offer bar and restaurant meals. I did manage to have a great night’s sleep as there is no road noise, so if you don’t mind a lovely remote location I would strongly recommend this hotel ! I will definitely be using it again! Need to find the staff at reception for checking in and out.

Would stay here again if in the area. It was quiet, clean and comfortable hotel. For evening meals there is a good pub down the road at Norton Disney. I also ate at some pubs in Collingham. Wi-fi worked fine.

Comfortable bed quality bed linen and towels Room on small size for wheelchair, bathroom/ wet room too small to get wheelchair in, and really a problem. Bedroom and bathroom windows do not have a safety device allowing window to remain open for ventilation. We had breakfast outside as the weather was great, but otherwise would have had to breakfast away from other guests in a room accessed ramped by portable ramp. Key card difficult to get hang of

I was asked what time I needed to depart on sunday morning and was told they would make sure I was able to have a cup of tea and toast as breakfast was not till 8.30. (I needed to be away by 7.45) the water in the boiler was cold and no staff about to make toast. Had to leave key with a member of staff which I found in a kitchen near the car park. I asked if anyone was about so I could book out. Told me just to leave the key near the kitchen door.
