The spa was outstanding and the staff were excellent "nothing was too much trouble". The tv facility in rooms was very basic....missed a choice of music stations and the sky facility particularly for sports. Considering the easter break...the staff were under pressure with volumes of clients but remained helpful and professional at all times. For value for money the Norton Grange would not be beaten in my opinion

Good service, Spa/Sauna/Jacuzzi/Gym were great and definitely a must. Homemade biscuits on the reception was nice and overall a very relaxing atmosphere eventhough its a popular venue for Weddings it didnt do any harm to the break. Poor pedistrain path but apart from that nothing significant to stop me booking again!

The car-park barrier did not work and took 10 mintues to get out thanks to another guest. No mention from reception of the use of a number input, and when pressed call it kept ringing an automated booking line for the hotel - very frustrating!!!

This was our second visit at this hotel, the Mrs enjoyed it so much last time we stayed there that we decided to go back. I think we made it mistake on this account as we didn't get the level service as we did the first we had been there. I regret choosing to go back as we found the staff especially the maids very rude and almost got into an argument with their rude incompetent maids. We maid a complaint at the reception but we didn't even get an apology. Also the furniture in the room was falling apart; the cupboard door had come off and fell on my feet a bruise I wouldn't be forgetting anytime soon. We're definitely never going back here again!

Not a lot. The location as conference was held at the hotel. The food was very expensive, the menu very limited. The hotel feels tired and in need of an uplift. Section 2 in this feedback asks what best describes this hotel I cannot say it falls into any of the choices offered and is rather non descript.

The staff do the best they can to help and are the only good thing. The hotel is in need of a total refurbishment as it is very tired and all the areas are poorly decorated and drab. Rooms are poorly finished and main corridors dark and dreary. The restaurant is dismal and in need of total redecoration. The car park is on a lower level which means pulling luggage up a hill. This is not a 4 star hotel.

We enjoyed the spa and swimming, also the food was vey good, the service for breakfast was enjoyable, the full service was good, unfortunately the room we stayed in, had a faulty wardrobe door made from glass, this kept falling out of the runners and fell on us twice, this coould have caused a serious accident. We reported the problem, and hope this does get rectified.

The spa was very nice and brought a relaxed feel to the weekend. The breakfast was excellent, and we liked the hotel very much. There was a wedding reception taking place on the Saturday evening, which tended to take over the entire ground floor.

The en suite facilities were of a good standard and size. The bar and restaurant area were well presented. The overall cleanliness of the room was very poor, the carpets appearing as if they hadn't even been hoovered. The cost of food and drink in the hotel was very high yet the standard not necessarily representing the cost. The staff appeared to be too rushed and at times the customer service was quite poor. Overall I would not have been happy if i'd had to pay full rate for the room and this is not a Spa that I would use again. I have stayed in far better hotels, most of which have been cheaper than this. It almost feels as if it is trying to live up to something it's not. Last thing to note is that you also have to pay for Wifi connection. In the modern day that should be a given for any hotel to be free.

Although there was Three Xmas parties going on in the hotel at the time of staying the only time we had any bother with noise was when we went for something to eat in the bar area. We decided to eat out as the noise was just too loud to bear for the time it would have taken to order and eat a meal. Apart from that, the room and facilities inside where excellent. The room was large with plenty of room to move around and had a seating area as well. My wife said that it was the best nights sleep that she'd had in any hotel for a long time. The bathroom had both a separate shower and a bath which was great as I love a bath on a night and hate the overbath showers in hotels as they always seem to drip on you. Overall my experience with this particular hotel was first class and my wife and daughter agreed. for the price we paid it surpassed all of our expectations. A few noisy revellers early morning going back to there rooms, but my wife got her revenge as we where up early for a competition and my wife went down the corridor shouting good morning everyone, hope you have a nice sleep at the top of her voice..... Very funny..... Made me laugh anyway.....

The hotel was near to my place of work the next day, easy to find from the motorway. The room was spacious. The supplies in the room were very basic for a 4 star - more like 2 star! At breakfast the staff were not really bothered - they asked room number, told me to find a table, asked me if I wanted tea/coffee and colour of toast and told me to help myself - all in one fell swoop. That was the last interaction the staff had with me until I left the restaurant. They didn't even come to take away fruit bowl etc... The breakfast items looked really well, the hot food looked succulent and well cooked. However, the plates were cold and so was the 'hot' food. Very disappointing, but still reasonably tasty. The music at breakfast was extremely harsh and at an inappropriate sound level for a 4 star establishment. Come on Murcure - you should be doing better than this!!!

The hotel was really good however on arrival there was a tray outside the room opposite for 24 hours before collected which wasnt very attractive. The food prices are ridiculous and there was never anyone eating I the restaurant I went out for meals to restaurants if the prices were slightly lower I would have eat there.

The staff were particularly helpful, doing their job with a friendly attitude. Other than breakfast, we only ate sandwitches, but these were of very good quality with plenty of filling and accompanied by side salad/coleslaw and crisps. Our room, and particularly the bathroom, was exceptionally clean and well maintained. My eighteen year old granddaughter says she has never stayed in such luxury! Although this is purely a personal taste, the only downside for my wife and I was that the bed was a little too soft.

I liked the location and the spa is very good it has lovely views I found the room to stuffy for my liking and would have liked to have been able to open my bedroom windows more for fresh air and didn't like how smokers hogged the entrance to the hotel which caused congestion and the smell on entering the hotel through the smoke at the door was awful.

The hotel served our purpose for a one night stay...Nothing fancy, no frills all we needed was a bed for the night - and that's what we got.To keep our cost down we gave breakfast a miss which at £10 a head we thought to be expensive - went to Crown carvery just down the road and paid half the price for their as much as you like breakfast...yum yum.. As with all hotels, the Bar prices !!!...Hotels need to get a grip of this. We paid £17.50 for a round of 4 drinks and we thought a bit steep...
