The room was clean. I liked the flat screen TV. It was a very relaxing break. Particularly liked the option of having breakfast in bed at no extra cost.

The complex is a just that bit too far from the city of Edinburgh, takes about 30 mins by bus (48) or 50 mins peak times. Having said that the fair is reasonable at £1.30 single to anywhere within Edinburgh. Prices a little expensive at the bar but there again it is an upmarket hotel.

Well run and professional, with a nice touch of luxury.

Our room was in a sort of basement with rather a lot of noise from the extractor fans. Not really disturbing, but not ideal either.

The hotel staff were very friendly and helpful. The room was very comfortable.

It is located at a quiet area with plenty garden wood area to walk around.

Lovely venue for a big occasion like a wedding.

I was disappointed by the management that the reception desk kept telling me that the assistant manager would speak to me later. Why? The thought of having to speak to 'someone' later was upsetting. I could not understand that there was any reason for this, if the problem was solved. The problem was not brought to his attention till the line up for dinner. Why? From my arrival to the dinner was 2 1/2 hours. When I booked a room, I did not know of any other way of booking than the way I did book. I am not in the habit of booking hotel rooms. I was looking for a phone number, but there wasn't any on the website. The whole dealing with you not an experience I would like to repeat.

Quiet and friendly atmosphere. Close to motorways and airport.

linen services was a bit lacking, did not get the right number of towels for indivduals staying in the room.

It is an attractive house set in lovely grounds. Our room was comfortable, clean and quiet. The bar area was nice and the food was good.In the original part of the house there was a lovely drawing room suitable for relaxing in during the day. We did not use the spa and so are unable to comment on this.

We were disappointed that our room was actually in a modern extension added onto the original house. This was not apparent during booking. The reason we booked this hotel was because of the old world charm. The room itself was fine but we did not expect to be staying in a modern styled hotel room.

The room size was generous. The spa faacility was nice. The gourmet dining experience was very good.

Upon check in there was a question whether we actually had a room booked. The desk clerk mentioned that we did not have a booking.com reservation, even though I had presented a confirmation number as proof. After much time, a room was found

Front desk personnel were not cordial or helpful when we arrived as they did not have a record of our reservation from booking.com. We were very disappointed with their treatment of us.

There is nothing that I/we didn't like about the Hotel...perfect.....

Very nice staff, super breakfast, great food.

The mattress was too soft.

Norton House is a very relaxed and comfortable hotel in a quiet location. Perfect for a couple of days away from it all. The staff were very helpful and friendly.
