Nice and quiet location, good food and comforable accommodation. Not really a complaint; but quite a long way to the accommodation from the car park and indeed, Reception. So need to drop off luggage, then park, then make journey to rooms. I often travel on business with a lot of photographic and video gear, so the hotel is not really suitable for these kind of overnight stays.

Very comfortable, stylish & clean hotel. Excellent location for New Forest. Web site didn't explain difficutlies for guests with walking difficulties. My husband uses crutches and the room and dining area were far apart and tricky for him to negotiate. Fine for wheelchair users though. If I had known I woudl have asked for a room on one level on booking.

We liked the location and enjoyed the grounds. Swimming pool and spa rooms were fabulous. All staff were extremely helpful, and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Wouldn't hesitate to recommend this hotel to family and friends.

The staff were well trained, professional and friendly. The hotel is very comfortable and the grounds are beautiful. There are plenty of places to sit and relax - either in peace and quiet, or with a drink to hand. Breakfast was very good indeed and it was impressive to see the buffet being replenished so frequently and right up to the end of serving time. Rooms are rather far flung and if the weather was poor, it could be a somewhat cold experience getting to and from where you need to be.

Clean room. Allocated room very small - bathroom particularly. Not really satisfactory for a four star hotel and not comparable with other Q Hotels we have stayed in (e.g. Oxford Belfry). On arrival was informed that, although the restaurant opened at 7pm, a reservation was not possible until 9pm - due to an influx of German tourists in coaches. Ordered a bar meal at 6.50 pm and our food did not arrive until 50 minutes later at 7.40pm - when "chasing up" the order, was informed that the bar staff were short and that the restaurant was very busy - again not satisfactory for a four star hotel.

Overal, the Norton Park has some good facilities, if you don't mind what might be a long walk to your room. Free internet is now available. Although one of the best hotels in the area, I was a little disappointed that the friendliness of the staff was lacking on my recent visit. As a business visitor, who often as to work late, I was also diappointed that the Norton Park have stopped providing bar meals in favour of a cramped and noisy conservatory, which I had to wait over 10 minutes to get into, serving poorer meals, at higher prices. My bar meal came to over £25. I tried to get into the restaurant at 9.30pm, when it closes at 10pm, and was turned away completely. At breakfast one of the staff took what looked to be a full bowl of chopped fruit away, to be filled, but I think it was to give to a small section of guests, because the bowl was still missing 20 minutes later when I left. My room also smelled of smoke. Maybe the cleaning staff didn't air it before my stay.

Hot breakfast food was either cold or tepid! Over 30 minutes to check out - only one receptionist who appeared to be poorly trained - when travelling to catch a ferry, not very good and not what is expected from a four star rated hotel. Room on the small side compared with other Q-hotels we have stayed in (Oxford Belfry, Crewe Hall).

As a business we normally stay in Premier Inns so the Norton Park was a very welcome change. I will certainly be an advocate within the business but ultimately the rates will decide where we stay. I will certainly check your site in January when I'm next down in your area. Please feel free to email me with competitive rates.for the new year.

Very happy with all aspects of the hotel except Spa. Very disappointed that there were no spaces at any of the spa treatments as they were booked by people not staying at the hotel. As you heavily advertise the spa aspect of the hotel, you should keep some appointments free for hotel patrons.

The decor and ambience of the hotel is very nice. The rooms are modern, clean, have excellent facilities and are nicely decorated. We also ate in the restaurant, which had good food at good value. Excellent spa/fitness facilities. The only thing you can fault about the hotel is the very long walk to the bedrooms. The hotel is distributed over quite a big area and it took me about 3 minutes to get between my room and the restaurant/reception!

I like the location. There is a winding drive up to the hotel which adequately displays the manicured grounds. The reception staff were welcoming and friendly and my room was clean and 'just as I had imagined' from the internet photos. There was a good selection for the breakfast buffet and the added inclusion of a daily newspaper. The hotel is situated in a location that enables guests to easilly access Winchester town centre and Southampton. The nearby horses added to the experience of a rural retreat. Upon arrival at the hotel and wanting to access the amenities advocated on their website, it became immediately apparent that the hotel was overbooked. We were unable to access any of the spa treatments and were informed that the restaurant for dinner dining was fully booked for the duration of our stay. When we raised our concerns regarding this matter, we were berated by a member of the restaurant management as if we were their innconvenience in front of other guests. On two of the nights, we were woken by prank phone calls from children of the other guests and we were able to hear the conversations/ footsteps of other guests when passing in the hallway. I am a Solicitor by trade and booked this weekend break to take a moment to relax and recouperate. Instead, I found my experience at this hotel quite stressful and in general the level of customer service appalling.

Rooms are well equipped and spacious...modern bathrooms include a bath tub. Badly planned buildings (enforced by planners) with undercover but outside cold walkways to the rooms. On each long walk to the restaurant or bar facilities one would meet fellow guests.....all trying to navigate their way around. The worst, ugliest and least functional example of modern architecture I have every seen.

Comfort and cleanliness of the rooms ,resturaunts etc ,I thought the bar prices were a little steep.Breakfast was excellent and we will come again. I asked for a first floor room near to the swimming pool but was given one which was a route march from reception and was quite an effort to haul our luggage due to lifts not working and no porters.

The grounds the hotel was situated were nicely kept. Reception area good and reception was good on arrival staff friendly. The lift was not working and as we were there for 3 nights my husband struggled. Shower leaked but I do not think this had been reported before. Resturant was expensive. Someone broke glass on firebell so it set the alarms off. staff could have been a bit more pro-active to explain situation no marshalling or anyone about.
