The entrance hall and communal areas are stunning. Warmth exudes on a wet autumn evening with fires and cosy sofas. At breakfast when we placed our order we were told we could not have both porridge and items from the traditional cooked breakfast. Even budget hotels are not this mean. A heavily salted, glutinous porridge was served and that was our breakfast. Will certainly not return. |

Lovely hotel. Sumptuous rooms, exquisite menu, helpful staff. What's not to like. There was a bit of building work going on in the grounds during the stay. |

To be honest not a lot. The hotel is very old and needs updating. Also there were weddings on whilst we were there and one night the noise from the disco was very loud - plus there was a lot of noise as guests were going to and from their room/different rooms throughout the night. |

I stay there frequently and have always found the staff and facilities excellent. It is often difficult to obtain hotel rooms at a reasonable rate in Aberdeen and the Norwood is always my first enquiry. |

My husband and I stayed at Norwood Hall for two night's, to attend a Conferring at RGU, It is very convienient to both the city, and university, we just parked, and the receptionist called a taxi, It only took about five mins to arrive. The room we had was enormous, and the bed was really comfortable, the bathroom was also big. The house is very well mentained, and has a romantic history, and is so welcoming.I really like the way the "mini bar" is presented, and would recommend this method to other establishments. There was nothing I did not like, just some small things I would prefer, ie, leaving out the breakfast juices for guests to help themselves, as they get the cereal and fruit, and perhaps leaving out a selection of bread also, rather than asking the waiter to bring it. |

Friendliness of staff and their willingness to go the extra mile. The size and comfort of the executive rooms. Excellent food at breakfast (including hot toast - well done!). The ambiance, the setting and the feeling of luxury and opulence at a relatively reasonable price level. The coffee served was mediocre. Brewed coffee served in cafetieres is not up to scratch for an otherwise first rate establishment. I did mention this before leaving. |

The executive rooms were ideal for the less able as they were accessable by lift, although a small premium was payable, they were very spacious and well equipped. The price of drinks. |

the politeness and helpfulness and prompt service of all the staff. Especially the night porter for his education and information about the history of the Hotel and the wildlife on the grounds. Whilst I appreciate it is the Law in Scotland the fact that there are no bedrooms provided for smokers. In Ireland a Hotel bedroom is regarded as home from home and Hotels can apply for exceptions. |

The staff were all very friendly and helpful. It was spotless, the food was delicious if slightly expensive for us. It was nice and quiet compared to others we have slept in. They did not have butteries despite their being on the menu. |

Good traditional hotel with friendly staff. Good food, good location just far enough out of town Only minor fault would be that the menu had not been changed over the period in which I have been using the hotel. |

The room was spacious , the restaurant and bar stafff were very helpful, breakfast was excellent One of the receptionist was not as helpful as he might have been. He omitted to explain how to lock our room with the esult that it was left open. The wooden toilet seat had a split right across at the front which we felt was very unhygenic . His response was unhelpful. A minor point was that there was only one bathrobe , odd for a double room. Again no help when we queried this. |
