Boutique-style Silver Award accommodation, full of character and surrounded by charming gardens; this Victorian guest house is 2 minutes from the M65 motorway and offers great value. With a convenient location, good access to the region’s main roads and a high standard of accommodation, the Norwood makes a great base for your visit to the area. The Norwood recently received a Silver Award from the English Tourist Board for the 3rd year running. All of the comfortable, non-smoking rooms are en suite and well equipped. All rooms have flat-screen TVs, DVD players and tea/coffee. Free wireless internet access is available and there is free parking for guests’ use. The Norwood also offers a delicious traditional Lancashire cooked breakfast. This is our third stay at the Norwood. Again, really enjoyed it. Everything in the room was there including a DVD player if one wanted to use it. Excellent courtesy tray with plenty of busicuits, tea, coffee and chocolate. Breakfast is fantastic, full English if you want it that will last you all day, fruit yougurt, cereal what more can you ask for. Really superb place. Nothing to report :-)

Good value comfortable place to stay. Very friendly and welcoming with excellent cooked breakfast. Options for an evening meal in the locality are limited without using a car.

I arrived at the Norwood during a particularly difficult few days. I found the staff their extremely friendly and they went out of their way to make my stay a very comfortable one. The rooms went beyond what I expected as it seemed as though every little detail and requirement had been implemented. The location was excellent and the people in Accrington were extremely friendly. Overall I would recommend the Norwood to anybody, you may get cheaper but I doubt the standards would be the same.

It was comfortable and relaxing, and its nearness to the areas I wished to visit meant I could leave the car and walk. I didn't consume any food there but there were plenty of places nearby which I could use. Only that I couldn't get a picture on the TV, although if this had been a pressing need I'm sure this could have been rectified.

Quiet. Comfy. Apart from the tv , none of the other electrical appliances worked. The hair dryer, the electric kettle, the Lamp were all out of order. The pillow covers stank of sweat (probably not washed). The bathroom lock was broken and not working. I was just staying for one night so didn't want to complain too much, but overall I think these things should be addressed before renting to people. I would stil recommend but take your own electrical appliances with you.

Absolutely perfect for two mature ladies of a quiet nature.all our needs were catered for. The staff could not have been better or more friendly. Stuart the manager/proprietor was especially welcoming and could not have done enough for us. Food was perfect, breakfasts were over the top, anything you wanted.we could have taken stuart home with us.all in all it was a pleasure to stay at norwood and hope to do so again god willing.also the highlight for me was playing stuarts £7000 baby grand piano .perfect! Coming home and leaving all the pampering.
