It was a reasonably comfortable place - clean and simple and the price appropriate. The toilet in our room did not flush properly. There were no hand towels and floor towels in the bathroom and no telephone access to the front desk. We were provided with the towels upon request tho.

the location and surrounding area made me feel safe;the view from my room was facing a pleasant square and the heat was constantly on... I heard numerous horror stories/reviews about the hotel but was pleasantly surprised it didnt turn out to be a rat trap as some reviewers have said... maybe I was lucky with the particular room I got?? So request Room 43 if you are travelling alone..and I should mention my valuables were never touched by daily cleaning staff!! I think breakfast times should be extended to 10am as opposed to 9.30am....and perhaps having an internet station in the lobby would help for guest usage or ideally WIFI for laptops.

Gave me somewhere to sleep. Breakfast didn't start until 8.00, which was later than required as I was travelling to the centre of London to work (could do with being mentioned on the web site).

Not much. The flight of fancy wood sculpture in the breakfast room was nice. Decor hadn't been updated since the 1960's, the bed was very uncomfortable. The proprietors don't believe in providing wireless internet or freeview television. Did not feel it to be good value for money.

The location was fine for what we wanted to do in london which was to spend a couple of days sight-seeing and visiting museums. We were very disappointed with the facilities in the room. The bed was very uncomfortable and squeaky although it was clean. There were no tea/coffee making facilities and no hair dryer in the room. We were on the 4th floor and the lift was out of order for most of our stay.

The view from our front facing, top floor room was wonderful. The room was, however, sparse, and the bed was a disaster. One of the top corners was so saggy that you'd fall out if not scooched to the middle -- and the response of the front office and housekeeping staff was that we could stuff some towels under us! Yikes! Still, hotels in London are so expensive that the Notting Hill's location in the charming neighborhood with easy public transportation access to the city's core made the saggy bed OK for the price.

Nothing! The hotel room was dirty and is disrepair. The three pin plug were not a standard size and the main light fitting was brown and looked burned - I did not dare turn the light on. It was one of the worst experiences of my life,

Only the location was the I liked, that it's near a tube station, bus stop.Immediate cleaning of the room once you leave out. The staff was good. having no internet facility, a very small room, with a very hard bed that makes me feel like Iam on an operating table with the head down, unless I changed the side. No sufficient electricity plugs, only one, either you watch the tv, or charge your mobile. also leaving the key each time you go out. no tea/coffee facility in the rooms. If you want to get some tea, you should go down to the groun floor

hotel reception is 24 hour open, they have adapter plug for non-uk guests. good position if you want to visit the city compared to other hotels it is quite cheap, but the rooms aren't much clean and the breakfast is hostel-like: for the money they ask, they could do better

The short walk from the Tube (Notting Hill Gate) and the nice entrance of the hotel facing Pembridge Square. The room was small and the elevator about the smallest I've seen (1 person+luggage).

Location I would be able to open window and the window was broken so I have no fresh air at all for all duration of my stay. When I asked hotel staff if is possible to change my room because I got astma- answer was no way and the hotel was fully booked. I informed this guy that there might be possibility that I need to get an ambulance because of my panic attack. This guy agreed and just nodding to me that's all.

Location We were at Room 26 & it was very poorly maintained, I.E., curtains falling apart just hanging from one end each curtain, had to find some strings in our luggage to hang the curtains for our privacy; 1 window was about to fall down and was being held into place by duct tape; outer bed covers seemed to have been washed 5 years ago; washroom floor floods due to level lower than the rim of floor drain.

Excellent location near the tube. The hotel has a lift.Very helpful staff. Wifi did not work very well. The breakfast is very basic which is fine but the hot water machine was broken so it took quite a while to fill a cup. There are no tea/coffee facilities in the rooms which would be nice.
