The hotel was conveniently located close to the motorway and was easy to find. We arrived late on Friday and were expected - our room was ready and waiting. Parking at the hotel was free and convenient. The hotel was rather shabby and everything seemed to be done on the cheap. The cheapest, thinnest loo roll in the toilet, no toiletries in the bathroom, no batteries in the TV remote. The bedding was rather thin for a November weekend and we felt cold in the night - one of our beds was a sofabed and it had a thin blanket and no duvet. The carpet in our bedroom was old and stained and the bathroom units were falling apart. Breakfast was ok although there was no continental choice, just a cooked English breakfast. The coffee was lukewarm and not terribly fresh. So not a terribly pleasant experience. We certainly wouldn't choose this hotel again. |

The general facilities were very good in comfort and convenience terms. I was at a function staying overnight and the bar prices were scandalous - I would not consider booking the hotel for any function that I was responsible for because of the bar prices. |

Stayed at this hotel several times now and I am still happy with it. Easy to find from the motorway and there is a tram service nearby. Pleasant staff especially in the restaurant. Efficient room service. Good breakfast with plenty of choice. Large car park which is a bonus. Bar service can be slow at times. |

Shame about the booking mix up which led to me being in then out of the hotel for the night. The bathroom units were very dated and worn and the TV was very old and not easy to manage. |

The location is good and the whole hotel is very friendly, well designed and set out. The breakfast items available were very good, well presented and all hot. The bar prices are a little steep |

Good meals and service via room service. Helpful receptionist on arrival. Although good selection for breakfast - very greasy! Kettle in room could do with replacing or descaling. Re-dec of bathroom about due |

Checking out! Any staff encountered were pleasant. Aside from the staff, there is nothing to like about this hotel for me, the rooms are grubby. |

Location, comfortable bed, room was a good size and the TV had more than 5 channels. The bathroom had mould around the sides. The receptionist was quite standoffish. The hotel is difficult to find in the dark, it is not well lit up at all. |

There is a fantastic offer for a 3 course meal for 12.99 in the hotel restaurant which was excellent value and delicious. The rooms were spacious and comfortable. The hotel advertises free internet on the Booking.com site. However, you have to pay around 4 pounds for the password. As the password is essential to allow you to use the internet it isn´t actually free. This is poor advertising as it was one of the reasons we chose the hotel. |

The arrangements for the evening party was well organised. The Foyer because of its glass architecture makes it very noisy, and the glass was dirty, which did not give a good impression. |

Just off junction 25 of the M1, this hotel is 8 miles (12.9 km) from Nottingham, Derby and East Midlands Airport. It has an outdoor pool and a friendly restaurant and bar. |
