the restarant staff and facilities and the look of the hotel insiade and out. 2nd floor room was very stuffy and hot no air conditioning or fans in the room, had to have the windows open which was annoying at night with other visitors in the smoking area throughout the nights |

Great breakfast, comfortable beds, convenient location Hotel was fair value at reduced online rate of £49. Advertised room rate of £90 would have been poor value for money. Bedding etc was good and very clean but overall bathroom rather faded (damp on ceiling) and armchairs stained and faded. Loud music up to 11pm as room was over disco. |

good access to motorway and city centre There was a foul musty smell through the corridors on 2nd floor where we stayed - this carried on into the room. only one bath towel was available in the family room we had even though we were 3 guests. the bathroom was not cleaned to a good standard; toilet did not flush |

nearness to public transport and M1 Reception and other staff were ratherunwelcoming, (except lady at bar), distant and showed to be rather bored with my checking in and out. Room was clean, breakfast good, lift creaking badly and jerky. It was all mechanical. How different was our next place, where we had same cleanliness etc, but consideration and courtesy. Large hotels have much to learn from good English rural B/B's. |

The helpful approach of the staff both on arrival and during my stay. The objectionable rubbish on the flat roof outside my room windows (cigarrete ends, food scraps, a used condom and tampon etc and the fact that the room had been heavily smoked in by recent occupants when it was listed as non smoking. |

The room was good and we liked the menu in the resturant. The food was excellent.. Reception told a family that they were in my room. I was awoken at 2.30am by a family insisting they were in my room. |

Enjoyed our stay. We have been married for 6 wks so needed a break.Enjoyed the tram, very good value for money, nice ride to all the great shopping centres. The breakfast at the hotel was top quality, we would definately be visiting the Gateway Hotel again . |

The hotel rooms were really nice and had extra room with a sofa and table to enjoy a snack!!The shower was very powerfull and refreshing and our trip to nottingham cantre was a 10 minute taxi drive away. No,although decor was a little old and some of the wall paper was coming off the wall!!!! |
