Impressive hotel with good standard of cleanliness. Good location, comfortable room, good breakfast. Only downside was being woken up by a knock at the door by housekeeping who insisted on an answer at 8.55am
The lobby and bar area were a very high standard and looked very posh, everywhere was clean and the room was a big enough size with everything in
Struggled to find car park however that was down to my own faults
Can't open the windows. Broken air con = very stuffy and hot room.
Used the spa and gym facilities had a great stay over the weekend right in the town centre great hotel!
Location of hotel
Room was a dirty one but after speaking to reception moves rooms right away
Location was fantastic, clean gorgeous room
Paid for club room. Room unattended and was supposed to be open 5 for alcohol and canapés had to ask at reception to open
Excellent location for city centre, nice to have use of pool and gym. Breakfast good
Stated before and had lovely large room, this time the room was v cramped, but as only staying one night didn't bother to ask to move.
Location is excellent for Uni, shops, theatre, everything is within walking distance. Car park next to hotel with direct access into the hotel. Breakfast was excellent. Room was clean and comfortable. We overlooked Rock City and the room was very quiet.
Went up to the bar in the hotel to order drinks. Member of staff said to sit down and they would come to serve us. After half an hour they eventually came over for the order. We than had to wait ages until they prepared and brought the drinks over. No urgency at all! Went up to bar to pay, told to sit down they would come over. Again had to wait ages. Poor service put us off using the bar. Shame because the bar area is relaxing.
Gym and spa facilities excellent
Rude check in staff Noisy room (next to lift and adjacent night club) Room very jaded with scuffs on the wallpaper and paintwork
Food wait at lunchtime
Room size was adequate and staff very helpful and polite!
It took us a few laps of the cities one way system to find the car park, maybe better signage?
Lovely clean room, it was very quiet too.
The wifi was non existent!!
I liked the two small chocolates that we found in the room and the two bottles of water :)
The rooms need renovation. The room was really small. And there was no insulation. We could even hear people having sex in the morning and had to turn on the tv. The breakfast is standard which I found disappointing. All fried...and fruits from tins!!! Not what you would expect from a ****hotel.
Lovely hotel bar Great pool Brilliant location Friendly staff Great refreshments let in room apart from the freeze dried coffee value for money
wifi shouldn't cost guest Pillows are horrible, advice bring your own Paied for parking £13 then wouldn't let me get back out, had to call for help Coffee was discusting, advice bring your own Bathroom run down, flacky paint and black bits in toilet Had to uplug the bedside lamp as there was onlt 2 sockets No bible
Spa was wonderful. The city centre location was also handy
My room was close to the lift this did disturb my sleep a couple of times in the evening when I was awoken by the noise of the lift operating
The staff were great and the room just right, great nights sleep in an excellent location.
It was all good
Amazing hotel. Lovely and dinner in room AMAZING
Location comfy able room nice friendly staff
We liked the service, the room and especially the comfortable bed, in fact there was nothing to dislike! The food was excellent. Our son is a chef and even he was impressed
Had a variety of breakfasts
On our arrival the car park barrier wasn't working as it said the car park was full, it wasnt!! When we called for assistance we was rudely told there was nothing he. Plus do and put the phone down, after waiting there over 15 minutes the barrier finally went up. When we got to reception they had to phone a member of staff to see if I room was ready as it stated dirty on he system (a room we booked 2days before) when we got to our room it was not what we expected for a superior room! The wallpaper was coming off the walls the fixtures & fittings were hanging off! And the quilt cover was what I can only describe as two sleeping bags zipped together! After all the money we paid for the room we was extremely disappointed! I don't no where the 4 star comes from????... We have had better service and quality rooms from a premier inn for half the money!
Quality of room
The facilities are amazing and the way guests are treated is excellent. Loved the privacy of the executive floor.
Staff in reception and dining area were very professional, helpful and made us feel very welcome.
We stayed in a double room which although of a high standard, the bed was relatively small compared to many hotels of the same standard.
Cleanliness was spot on. Checking in was very easy, an very friendly reception staff, and will help you with any questions you have. Room was a tad small but nicely laid out. Will DEFINITELY stay here again!
The fact that you had to pay for WiFi was a little bit disappointing but did not affect our stay at all.
Service at breakfast was excellent. Bar area was well maintained. Location for shopping was perfect
Cardboard pancakes at breakfast Bar prices were high Double room was very small Staff at check inn had little people skills
