Crowne Plaza Nottingham

Zeer centraal gelegen. Deskundig en vriendelijk personeel. Goede fitness en leuk zwembad. Zeer mooie inrichting en goed ontbijt.

The rooms was compact but modern, well appointed and had good in room facilites - (expensive) mini bar, flat screen Tv, very comfortable bed with cushions, and a complimentary bath robe for use during the stay.

The bathroom was a gross disappointment. There was scum ariound the overflow and taps, the floor was dirty, the box of tissues was empty and the mirrors were smeared and splashed, the sink showed little evidence of having been cleaned. Thankfully, the toilet was spotless. I did complain and was offered another room, but this was 11pm and I was only staying one night. I followed the complaint through with the duty manager the following morning who apologised and we agreed a 50% on the room price. I was assured that these were not the usual standards of the hotel. All of the staff were very pleasant and polite and went out of their way to ensure they met my needs.

Great location and great facilities

Stayed near Christmas and looked forward to a romantic stay, but the hotel was full of office parties and stopping in for food meant being surrounded by those enjoying their office party! Not very romantic and we ended up opting to eat out, which was a shame. We also booked bed and breakfast and were warned in the reviews that sometimes this isn't reflected in your booking when you checked in - we too had the same problem, but fortunately had the email with me that showed that I had booked breakfast, so they altered the booking on their system - good job I read the reviews!

Staff were very pleasant and helpful as we changed our booking from double standard to superior twin with no problem.,The spa had good swimming pool and the bar was very relaxing and comfortable as were the bedrooms which were also very clean and everything one needed to enjoy the stay.

The only fault I would have was that slippers were only supplied to guests on the 8th floor which would have proved useful for using the spa.

Check in staff were excellent and extremely friendly and helpful. Room was nice and comfortable. Decor and facilities were good also. This hotel is trying to be a good hotel and is almost there but their efforts are let down by a few which is a shame.

Night staff were unhelpful and ignorant. I wanted to ask for some more refreshments for our room but after waiting for 10 minutes-whilst there were 3 men on duty-2 of them very busy watching 1 of them?? My daughter and I felt rather uncomfortable at being ignored and gave up!! Also when ordering bacon and brie roll for a snack I received bacon and cheddar. I wanted to change it but by the time it would have came back out it would have been to late as we had tickets to attend a concert.

Excellent location. Loved the rooms! Beautifully decorated. The staff were lovely and there was a good choise on the menu. Prompt room service.

The service at the bar was unbelievably slow and drinks were overpriced. Paid £7.05 for a latte and a pint of stella. Complained about the noise from the room next door. Nothing was done and the noise/party continued throughout the night and that = no sleep, complimentary earplugs or not.

Staff very friendly when we did complain about room being made up for single occupancy it was addressed promtly.

We liked the friendly and helpful staff always willing to help as this was our first stay at the hotel and also in Nottingham.
