Hotel is of good standard. Rooms are nice, clean and well-equiped. Staff is always nice with clients. The pool is heated - that's great for relaxing - Jaccuzi and Hamam... The food is good (Gourmet). Internet is free at reception - Situated near a Tesco x-tra and mother Care... Train and bus is 2 minutes walk from hotel. 10 minutes train to Edinburgh city centre (Waverly station - 2 stops) - £2.20. 5 minutes drive to Heriot- watt university by Taxi @ £6.00. I would recommend...

What I liked most was the staff services. The heating system wasn't working. The breakfast served was not on a good standard. there wasnt enough duvets as well as duvet covers in the room.

The location right beside train station for a 10min journey into city was excellent, trains every 15 mins. Hotel had free carpark . Thought breakfast if not included in your room price was very overpriced at £13

The hotel was clean. The gym facilities were good however a lot of children were in the pool unsupervised so I avoided this area. The hotel is situated on the Edinburgh business park which at present is a building site. If you want a lie in this is not for you as the work starts at 8 in the morning. There is a new tram line being laid and the hotel is situated at the side of a train track so it is hard to go to sleep before 12.

The rooms are exceptionally clean and so comfortable, the staff are excellent helpful and friendly. Don't use the post code given out it's wrong, you well be taken to the Edinburgh Ritz not the Novotel. The hotel gave me an alternative which took us closer. It is EH11 4DG give that a try. The food was far too expensive. £6.95 for a fish finger sandwich is a bit steep

Convenient for train station into city centre, able to leave car parked during holiday. Enjoyed using swimming pool which was quite warm and fairly empty. Room very quiet despite it being very close to railway lines and road. Comfortable bed. Rooms fairly basically furnished, similar to a Travelodge standard. No shower cap provided.

Lovely stay, nice clean room. Staff were very nice and polite. Good location only 2 minutes from the well serviced train station and then only 5 minutes into the center. Great value for money.

We stayed in an executive room - and it was amasingly quite. Liked the sofa in the room and the large windows. Very close to the train station, which made life very easy. Also a large supermarket very close by. Various little things were not working (i-pod docking unit was broken, standard lamp broken, panel of the air conditioning unit wasn't afixed.) No instructions for shower - which constantly indicated that the battery needed changing. No drawers. Finally, the map on the website does not take you to the hotel! All little things, which didn't effect our stay, but worth mentioning.

It was a clean, comfortable, modern hotel well located to Edinburgh re. The fast train service into the centre. Good re free car parking. Reception staff were most efficient and friendly. Would definitely stay there again. The bar was quite nice, but a little austere. It would be nicer if there were armchairs, a more relaxing atmosphere

Reception staff were friendly, didn't have cause to talk to any other staff. Rooms were smart and clean. Hotel was smart. Nice little pool, gym and steam room. Location was close to business park / retail park so not a lot within walking distance. Not a problem for us, just jumped in car and headed to Edinburgh. Nothing, but you do need a car.

The staff was excellent and very polite. The room was a little filthy, the view was garbage and the toilet wasn't working properly. On the second day they told us that the pool will be closed for a week and we were transfered eventually to Novotel center which was great.

Exceptionally helpful and pleasant staff Very comfortable room, well equipped and modern Ease of access to hotel and ample free parking If you have to pay for it separately, the breakfast at £13.95 is on the expensive side.

Convenient location for night out in Edinburgh. We were told the bar was open 24 hrs and came back to the hotel thinking we would have a wee night cap before bed to be told the bar was closed. We asked the guy on reception if we could get a drink to take to our room but he just told us no. The bar was closed due to someone calling in sick and he was unwilling to get us anything..
