The Motel One Edinburgh-Princes is in the heart of Princes Street and less than a 5-minute walk from Edinburgh Waverley Station. This contemporary hotel features a bar and a 24-hour front desk.

Score from 818 reviews Very good
Enjoyed the leisure facilities and closeness to airport.
Very pricey for food and drinks.
Good location with easy train and tram access to city centre. Great price.
Pool changing room
For the short stay I had, I had a pleasant time at the hotel.
Excellent facilities, staff and value for money
Decent sized room with good sized fridge, large enough for ones own water etc. Large walk in shower & comfortable surroundings making relaxation easy. Nice pool with towels provided and communal changing facilities. Parking on site and close to tram/ trainFor easy access to Edinburgh city centre
Room far too hot for me: 19C overnight & window not easily opened. This, of course might suit some people so more of a comment than a criticism!
The staff were very helpful, location was ideal, breakfast was well worth the money room was very clean and quiet everything you needed was there.
Cant say there was anything I disliked . I will certainly book this hotel again.
This is an hotel that 'does what it says on the tin' if you have business in that area and I suspect that is the reason all their guests stay there. Rooms was spacious and very confirmable and all amenities were good except for the WIFI
Free WiFi - was available but of such a poor quality as to be unusable
look nice upon entry into hotel
being put into the disabled room. distance from edinburgh center was to far tried to move reservation to the novotel in the city but got refused so went to premier inn next door instead
Couple of minutes walk to tram. Which takes you right to city centre
Room decor dated, dull green bathroom paint Failure to honour Accor Platinum card Poor value for money not a 4 star hotel
Staff are friendly and helpful, and solved a few minor problems efficiently
Poor wifi if you do not upgrade from the basic provision I had to move rooms, executive suites, due to problems with air con and internet I waited over an hour for dinner and there was no indication that the food was going to be delayed
Location is very suitable if you are arriving late to Edinburgh thru flights. Also the complimentary steam bath. And the 12 PM check out time was quite nice otherwise most of the hotels - you need to rush in the morning.
The breakfast could have been a little less costly.
Room was a bit cool - I know a heater was in the wardrobe but we discovered it too late. Possibly put a sign near the instructions for the temp control (which I couldnt work).
Tremendous hotel cant fault it, excellent stay plus very plush.
Short trudge across muddy lawn to access hotel from tram stop. A signposted path to reception would be helpful, as the route to take from the tram stop is not obvious in the rain at night.
Great location Staff were helpful Room was of good size and had everything we needed for our stay. Bathroom was good especially the shower. Staff were accommodating and allowed us to check in slightly early which allowed us to enjoy our plans for our stay
Breakfast was ok a good selection but the hot items could have been fresher and generally cooked better
Price and location near airport
Shower and bathroom needed refurb, black mould, peeling paint and loose floor tiles. Toilet was also dirty. Trying to get access.
Location is great, breakfast was excellent for choices and quality. Staff were quick, attentive and professional
Only 1 robe n slippers in room, so the wife had to go without
dirty pool water in room 2,5 pounds for small bottle
Easy access to city centre. Will definitely be back
Bar payment methods after 11pm????
Location was good, rooms clean and tidy, staff were helpful.
On arrival at hotel we were given room swipe cards, and a separate card with our room number. We were unable to access our room, a member of staff assisted us to gain entry, and told us to inform reception our swipe cards weren't working. We entered the room to find someone eles personal belongings, we left immediately and informed tge member of staff who had let us in. It was a mistake with reception, who had wrote the wrong room number on our card. The manager came and apologised for the error, but this left us feeling un easy about leaving personal belongings In our room. The changing rooms to go into the swimming pool were a couple of inches deep with dirty water, which made getting changed without getting clothes wet verydifficult. The sanua which I was looking forward to using was dirty and smelled so bad I left after a few minutes.
All very relaxed, we had a small dog and even he was welcomed . We had an executive room which had a small balcony and it was good to get some fresh air, very friendly staff and a good breakfast.
Location Style of hotel
Comfortable. Free parking. Not too far from City Centre. Clean.
£13.95 continental or £16.95 cooked Breakfast. It is in the middle of an industrial area. It's ok if you have a car, but wouldn't fancy the tram late at night.
