Good decor in main areas. The breakfast was good and pleasant staff. Room was quite big and comfortable. Tiny toilet stuck away in the corner (why separate from bathroom?) - it felt like being in an outside toilet in a cheap B&B. Ironing board with the iron mount taking up 25% of the ironing area - useless. Profiteering - when I tried to book the same room again, the price had risen to almost double due to 'Birmingham being busy that night.'

The room was lovely; good layout and plenty of space and detail has gone into the rooms. The toilet area could be improved to match the level of the room. It seems a little out of place and old.

convenience of location . car parking facilities close by and safe The staff were pleasant and efficient I did not think it was up to 4* standard at all and thought that some of the travel lodges that I have stayed in were as good The cooked breakfast was disappointing for both days the quality of the food products was not good. They ran out of foods and were not replaced within a satisfactory time frame. Some of the foods eg tomatoes were not cooked enough I really disliked the coffee, it was stewed, would have preferred a proper cafettierre of fresh coffee

The location, very close to the canal and its restaurants, not far from the centre and its many shops. The on-demand film system does not work at all. Tried to watch Argo, les Miserables, neither worked.

The staff was really nice, friendly and helpfull. Unfortunately I had quite a many problems during my stay and they always apologized throughly and at the end made a decent reduction to my total price. However, as my office covers the bill I would have preferred to have a pleasent stay and working conditions than the discount. The location was very good. When I first arrived, the room (executive) that I had book was not available so they put me to superior room for the first night (and reduced the price). The first room was really noicy and the bed quite unconfortable. I defenitely expected more from the executive room, basically it's the same as superior but it has a bathrobe and slipper, coffee machine and stereosystem. The curtains were really dirty and all the room seemed to need a renovation. I stayed 6 nights and two blackouts happened (no electricity for almost 1,5hrs, only on our floor). The internet connection is really bad, the cable connection was included to the room price but I could not make it work. The wifi (9,90 per day) comes and goes. My toilet was leaking (dropping for 30 min after you flushed it, very annoying when you try to sleep) and nothing was done even though I mentioned it to the receptionist the very first morning (and they promised to fix it). Two times the cleaning lady did not fill the bathroom items or minibar, last night they did not change the towels (they had done that every day). The phrase I heard very many times: "I'm sorry, this usually works". I'm still waiting for them to cancel the preauthorizasion made to my credit card (which they promised to cancel already a week ago). I could maybe stay here one night on a holiday if the price was good, but I would never go there again if I needed to work

The room was perfect as was the location. We had arrived with a lot of luggage and no one actually helped us with the luggage and we had to organise the luggage trolley ourselves even though we were with parents, who were all above 60 years old.
