Very good,
Score from 220 reviews
“Received a warm greeting and check in was quick, the rooms were a nice size and clean. The additional extras like a mini bar good size TV and extra pillows made it a very comfortable stay. I would highly recommend the Novotel Bristol for a break in Bristol. The staff are very friendly and accommodating and the restaurant provides good food at reasonable prices”

Upgrade to the Executive Room was excellent value for money. Bose sound system, free internet and an extremely comfortable bed. Gym facilities were all brand new. Bar reasonably priced. What more could you want?! I have stayed in other Bristol '4 stars'; that come no where near to the quality this hotel offers.

Proximity to the town and the shuttle service from the station to the airport. Lack of choice regarding food and small snack. Slightly overpriced for small portions.

Handy to shops and central city features The couch was stained and grubby (looked like someone had been incontinent on it previously). My husband has a dust allergy, so the staff kindly agreed to supply an extra sheet, which I laid over the couch entirely, so as to give us a clean surface.

The room was very quiet despite being in the city. The gym was great. Everything was very clean and comfortable. The web corner in the lobby was perfect as it was free for 20 mins a day. Staff were all polite and friendly. My friends and family who phoned the hotel found that it took a very long time for the reception area to pick up the phone.

The hotel was well situated and close to the city centre. The building was modern and upon entering the reception area one knew that one had booked into the right place. The room was warm, clean and very roomy with all the facilities one would need. We did not use the dining room for breakfast as having read reviews prior to coming to Bristol we learned that the meal was not good value for money.

Very convenient for Temple Meads railway station but also easy walking distance to shops and restaurants. Only a minor complaint, but the breakfast plates were cold and the food went cold quickly. Hot plates would have been nice!

Location and reasonable value for money The hotel is very noisy ! if you are a light sleeper you will be disturbed all night from street noise , refuse collection , deliveries , late night reveler's etc The upgrade to 'Executive' room is not good value in fact it is not obvious what extras you are paying for ... and the bed is too firm !

Fast lifts; spacious and comfortable rooms; competent and courteous staff; attractively modern public seating areas. Good and quick access to Bristol city centre. i) Excessively overpriced breakfast. It should be included in the room price. A disincentive to business people especially. The hotel website is 'coy' and uninformative on this. ii) A daily car park charge of £10.00 is also excessive . Guests should be able to park free in the hotel car park if space is available - and it did appear to be.

I thought the cost of breakfast was ridiculous! Nobody in the right mind eats £13.95 worth of breakfast every morning!

The reception staff wore a smile and were really friendly, check in was quick and reception area was spacious and clean. First impressions definatley count. So straight away was happy. Rooms (ours was a Superior room) were clean and a nice size with everything you needed for your stay.We cleared the mini bar of all the overpriced drinks and went to Tesco express a 2 min walk up the road and stocked it with our own much much cheaper drink and snacks.lol Main shopping area was less than a 10 min walk and the main pub scene was about the same. The Gym was small but had everthing needed for a full workout with free weights and machines. Sauna and Steam room were good and a fresh towel supply was alllways on hand. On the occasions that I used the gym iwas the only one in there. There was an ice machine on floor 4 which was great. Food in the hotel was lovely, even better as they accept tasecard so we had 50% of our food bill. All the staff were really friendly and all seemed happy to be there. Will definatley use again when staying in Bristol Car Park charge £10 a day No free Wi fi Charge £10 a day No Hooks to hang up wet coats Mini Bar too expensive eg. £1.30 mars bar £3.50 for a small can of beer
