The hotel was easy to find, It was smart and comfortable and good value for the price.

I would say that the en-suite was showing the passing of time mainly because the decoration is vulnerable to the constant pressure of hot water and steam. This needs a constant eye on as the decoration deteriorates quicker than any other part of the room

Friendly staff

You could not charge your mobile phone or laptop using the sockets in the bedrooms - not good for business users.

The staff were friendly, room was very comfortable, modern bathroom, good services throughout.

The ad promised an lcd tv, where there was none, it was small and far away from the bed so was difficult to see, nobody came to clean the room on the second day which was a bit irritating, the ad also promised free wifi in actual fact it was 13 pounds a day, a tad steep.

The room was clean and comfortable but fairly basic and will need upgrading before too long. The pre- Christmas deal was particularly attractive but I don't think the advertised standard rate of £115 good value. But these prices are rarely kept to. If you're particularly hungry the extra for breakfast (buffet) is worth taking.

Very efficeint staff , friendly. Perfect for the ricoh arena. Would use if flying out of birmingham.

room service very slow

My husband and I enjoyed our stay and would like to particularly congratulate you on your staff. The receptionists were friendly, helpful and welcoming. When we returned to the hotel on Saturday night we found the bar, which was packed, was manned by only one member of staff but he did an incredible job serving people with drinks and taking orders for food. We will definitely recommend your hotel and if we are visiting the area in the future, will stay at the Novotel.

Very handy location - in nice grounds - we were overlooking the gardens to the rear so very pleasant

Price of breakfast was quite high at 13.95 pp - hence we went to mcDonalds!

Comfortable bed and clean.

The decor was a litte out dated and the walls were very thin!

It's beautiful. Location is so good and relax and hotel it self is so calming and very comfortable. everybody , all 12 people very so happy to stay there. novotel staff are brilliant very helpfull. We all enjoyed breakfast time best as well. Specially Big Thanks to one of your staff who work on restaurent area Mr Sajj, nice man very very helpfull. over all whole experiance was good. Nice staying in Novotel. we will come again in future and recommend to other. Thanks.

Nothing which i didn't like. Everything was fine, only thing i missed is air condition or wide or fully open window.

Very good hotel nice and quiet, easy to get to just off the m6. Plenty of parking. Breakfast very good buffet style, eat as much as you want or can!! Staff where very helpful. Clean and airy.

We have to realy search and be very picky to fine fault. Perhaps the decor was dated, too much Artex on nearly every wall and ceiling But we did not eat the walls or sleep on the ceilings. The only real complaint was the extras, some you need others you just do not use. Parking charge of four pounds is like a legalised taxation. They have you if you come by car, I would think that 99% of normal guests have little option to come by car and they feel they have the right to sting you for another four quid on your bill. Also if you want to use it, thirteen pounds fifty for use of internet, rip off big style. We did not use it on principle. Was this a stop over for Dick Turpin?? We did not eat at our evening meal at the hotel, we found a loveley pub called the Greyhound, next to the canal and narrow boats, Nice pub and good food at a reasonable price.

no slipper in the room? better tell customers in advance. (some guests brought theirs from Hong Kong). also a lot of dust in the room air.
