The stuff at the reception is helpful and responsive. The stuff in the dining room is doing the best to make you feel good and satisfied. The breakfast is very good. The public places are pleasant. The room was clean and nice. Wardrobe was too small for a family The bathroom was compact and not comfortable.

Reception staff very helpful on arrival. Peaceful but near to London life. Great selection at breakfast. Iron and ironing board in room. Comfortable bed. Carpet in room was quite disgusting (in terms of cleanliness!). Breakfast staff helpful but almost a little too keen to clear things away. Temperature in room hard to regulate.

Good location to city centre and sightseeing venues No sink in the toilet and no toilet in the bathroom no wardrobe with closed doors, just a hanging rail! Disappointed about this for a 4 star hotel!

Had a fantastic stay at the Novotel. Checked in (after a 5minute walk from the London Bridge tube) by a lovely receptionist who provided maps, local restaurants, general info etc. Once you orientate yourself your location is superb. Short walk from Borough Markets, a really quirky, fun food market which runs on the weekends. You're also about a 5minute walk to The Globe Theatre, overlooking the Thames which begins a gorgeous leisurely 30 minute riverside walk to Westminster Bridge and Big Ben passing the Tate Modern, Millennium Bridge, cafés/restaurants, The Oxo tower (craft shops), London Eye, London Aquarium and numerous street entertainers. Excellent buffet breakfast with super efficient staff. Same can be said of the bar food... Elements Burger ('',). Catered for coeliacs and had gluten free bread for breakfast! Modern, bright, comfortable hotel... Thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

Good central location Poor English from waiters, difficulty in making them understand or understanding them. Irritating card security system. I came out in a rash on my back after laying in the bath. Believed to be because cleaning materials not rinsed off the bath by room staff

Good location, close to many attractions. Ten minutes walk from the nearest Tube. Good soundproofing. Friendly staff. Very hard mattress. Very hot room; I didn't think I'd need aircon with the outside temperatures; boy, was I wrong! And the aircon is ineffective and noisy. I also have a problem with charges for WiFi in this day and age. And don't get me started on the ridiculous charge for breakfast!

I liked the proximity of the hotel to Gatwick Airport, the Borough Market, the subway and Tate Modern. In addition, we had never stayed in the South part of the city before. The fact that the hotel did not have an efficient internet connection in the lobby was troublesome. It would be advisable to have free internet connection in the rooms! The rooms should have the necessary toilettries such as a shower cap and body lotion. We paid 160 GBP, breakfast exclusive. Even for London this was too high a price for what was offered. There must be a special rate for advance bookings!

As we wanted to visit Borough Market the location was excellent. We liked the fact that our room had a toilet separate from the bathroom. Our very late arrival caused no problem.

Convenient location Hard mattress, only one pillow. No bath, shower only.Room too hot, aircon did not cool it down. Poor value, in my opinion. This was meant to be a superior room. I wouldn't like to stay in the ordinary room.

Good location. Internet too expensive. Only two free computers at the lobby and were always taken by a bunch of kids. Reception area looked very dirty at all times. Too expensive for not including internet. Breakfast and meals in general very expensive as well.

We have stayed in various hotels over the years and this was the most comfortable night's sleep we have had. Although quite close to a main road there was no traffice noise at all. The reception staff were courteous and helpful, offering advice on how to get around London. The restaurant staff were attentive and hard working. The food was well cooked. On leaving the hotel we were given the option to leave our suitcase until later in the day. All in all, a lovely hotel and we would recommend it. The only fault I could find was a leaky shower seal in the bathroom which left a puddle of water after use but the receptionist was very grateful when I reported it and said it would be attended to. Very helpful.

This hotel is very clean, spacious, comfortable and quiet. It is a good value for the money we've spent. The rooms have everything you might need over your stay, but not a scale to weight luggage. It is located a bit far from London Bridge station which could be a pain when you have to bring along heavy luggage with you. Some staff at the hotel could be a bit more friendly, doesn't cost anything. Only one Polish/ Easter European looking girl was pretty nice and smiling when giving us all the information we needed.

It was easy to find it; the location was very convenient for me. There is a car park (which is a must as I travel by car). The room was nicely decorated, with everything I needed, and it was comfortable. The food was good to excellent. Te staff was polite and very friendly, without improper familiarity. The only little problm was the condition system in my room: the blower was fine, but the temperature just did not go down. In fairness, I forgot to mention that on departure, so the next guest will have the same experience.

The general hotel foyer and bar area and staff were very good. The room was badly laid out, the seperate toilet was cramped and having to go back into the bathroom to wash your hands is unhygenic, the bed left little room to get the bathroom door open and into the bathroom. There was no hot water,at all in the morning so we couldnt wash before leaving the hotel.

We brought our young daughter to london for a sightseeing birthday treat for her to enjoy with her parents. On arrival, our daughter rec'd a little welcome gift, and the hotel looked so modern and fresh. we knew we were in for a treat! Our room was a little smaller than we expected for a family room but it was mainly for refreshing oursleves and resting in so we were optimistic, it was very well stocked and comfortable and my daughter enjoyed ordering room service twice. She loved having a big bed to herself too. The beds were very comfortable and fresh. Our view was good and the hotel staff could not have been nicer. We had two meals in the bar and found it delicious and the service very professional. My husband and I hope to come back for our wedding anniversary in February without our 'little madam' -much to her disappointment.
