Just a minute a way from the river and interesting places to be visited during the stay in London. Breakfast was included in the price and good. Free WLAN in the lobby. Very unflexible concerning check-in, only from 2.00 P.M. no minute earlier. WLAN in the room has be settled via ORANGE and very expensive.

Nice spacious rooms. Coffee machine was great. Bed comfy. Lovely bathroom once I worked out how the frosted glass screen worked Bar area was a bit clinical and not really cosy. The service was a bit slow especially in the day time.

The facilities (stem room/sauna) and that the staff were approachable. That the room was discounted. The building work and noise throughout most of Saturday.

Very conveniently located and very well presented The bedroom was particularly cold, (the hallway was warmer than the bedroom!). We asked for a heater but was told by reception staff there were none left and it was cold because the room was located on the top floor - we were offered extra blankets instead. If I was paying for a budget hotel, then I would expect this but not for a hotel that is supposed to be 4 star quality - as it was a 1 night romantic break, this put a dampner on our visit.

I was with my husband and a friend so we had booked a room with 3 beds. When we arrived we had been given a suite which was a real treat. The room was very nice and it was lovely to have so much space. When we returned back from a tour round The Globe my husband wanted to watch the rugby. We were greeted by constant drilling above us. It was very nosey and my husband could not hear the tv. If we had known we would be spending our time on a building site we would have booked else where. Although the staff were very good my husband had to leave the building to get away from the noise. It did spoil our weekend a bit as it would have been nice for my husband to relax and watch his rugby in peace.

New look and location The unbearable noise: I was situated in a room only a few doors away from workmen carrying out extensive refurbishing works. The noise of drilling, hammering and other electric tools was excessive and turned my supposed romantic getaway into an absolute nightmare; resulting in us packing and leaving the premises to seek quiet sanctuary, elsewhere.

The location The first room we were given had a soaking wet floor in hallway from bathroom to bedroom. We complained and were given another room right next to building works on 2nd floor, it was a disabled bedroom with disabled bathroom and noise of drills..more complaints/hassle and finally given a suite at no extra cost but as we were only staying one night...a lot of hassle. We have often stayed at Novotel over last 8 years but have seen the service, cleanliness and styling decline, this Novotel seems jaded, we won't stay with them again other hotels are now cheaper and a better standard in comparison.

The staff were very friendly and helpful and the hotel is right around the corner from the theatre I was attending. The free internet access. The price was very reasonable and I will certainly use again and recommend. The toilet without a hand basin. No tissues in the tissue container. The bathtub looked as if it hadn't been cleaned for a long time - it wasn't dirty, but it was dusty. I had trouble operating the shower, I only got water from the cold tap. (But it might be because I'm getting old.)

Leaving was the best bit. Will never use again. What a waste of money The constant drilling noise from the moment we arrived on friday 18th from 9am untill 6pm . friday sat and sunday. Totally ruined my birthday weekend in london. Being offered a room upgrade that had the same noise. We should have been given a refund or change of hotel. Wasnt even offered a free film to pass the time.
